Zakov.tv!

Beskrivning
As seen in the latest dev update video!

Zakov.tv! v0.1.2

Adds a tv in the bunker that plays videos from recent dev update videos.

Bug: Sometimes attenuation doesn't work when loading into a save for the first time after opening Zero Sievert. I haven't found a way to fix this issue. but it only happens once so it's not that big of an issue imo.

Bug: Loop bool for audio is currently broken, so when the video on tv ends, the video will loop, but the audio does not. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.
Also, there is no SoundStop() function in the game yet so changing the channel is currently not possible.

Note: This mod uses very large png sprites, which may increase initial load time of your save. It should not however, slow down game performance in any way.

Okay, I understand, thanks!

@the pumpkin man I mean if you use a different sprite somewhere else or whatever like a speaker in the corner that's fine by me. But id rather not have overlapping releases that use the same tv as I will be updating it in the future here.

Thank you very much! If I get around to it, mind if I release an alternate version of your mod? I was thinking I could use the mod as a mod for bunker music. I'll be sure to credit you, of course, if you allow me.

@the pumpkin man I use sony vegas to scale down the videos to 100x56 and render @ 12.5 fps then import the video into blender, take note of the number of the final frame and then render the video to a .png animation sequence. Then I import all of the images into Aesprite and create a single sprite sheet out of them then save it as a single .png

For the audio, I import it into Ableton and downmix to mono, then add a bit of reverb and eq to make it sounds more like tv audio.

Note: The video MUST be 12.5 fps so you can use global.framerate = 0.208296 for your sprite. Or else the video and audio won't sync correctly.

Also. About 7 mins is the max you can do since anything longer would render a .png sheet thats too large.

I would prefer if you instead pointed me to the tool you used to create the png sheet, as well as (if possible) the tool you used to count the amount of frames. From there, I should be able to change it in the local workshop files and edit the script accordingly.

@the pumpkin man Currently the modding environment only allows for .png and .gif files. Gif files are too big to use for a whole video on the tv so the only way right now is to use a .png sheet. It's ridiculous I know but that's the only way to do it right now. But if you have a video you would like me to add, just upload it to youtube and paste the link to it and I'll try to add it.

I like this mod a lot, but would there be a way to implement the PNG files for the video as a video file format instead? So there'd be a way to easily edit the videos that play in the bunker

@Ryback Thank you so much! Means a lot! Remember if you have any gameplay you'd like to submit just post a link for review and it could be added!

Love this mod! The bunker finally feels a bit more lively instead of being the equivalent of a post-apocalyptic library.

If you would like to see your gameplay added to the tv, submit a link to a youtube video and i will consider adding it. For limitation purposes please keep videos under 7 minutes.
