@Yellamp I don't even know what you're trying to say anymore. I'm guessing English isn't your first language so that might be part of the problem. I don't expect everyone to speak English, but I do expect people to be smart enough not to try to argue in a language they don't fully grasp. If I tried to debate anything in French I'd get crucified. So I don't.

The screenshot does NOT contradict what he said, not for native English-speakers at least. The mods load from bottom to top on that list. Like constructing a tower, you lay the foundations, then put the stuff that relies on the foundations on top. I can't explain it any clearer.

Literally everyone here is telling you you're wrong, including the two people who are actually writing the code. Take the hint.

End of argument.

@Yellamp michi84o's screenshot is correct, the PlanetGeneratorDefinitions.sbc file in his mod needs to overwrite mine for his mod to work correctly, Keen have a "back to front" load order meaning the mod loaded last is at the top of the list.

@Jackryl Ebonclaw
Are you disagree with the way the in-game interface loads mods: 1. Loads first, 2. Loads second? (Numbered top to bottom). The author of this mod recommends loading his mod, which is an add-on, first (on his pictures of screenshot), before the mod it's an add-on for. In some cases, this is appropriate, but it's unclear how this mod works. Additionally the author wrote text that the mod should load after the main mod. Consequently, his screenshot contradicts his own words. He can't explain this, saying it works anyway.

@Yellamp

We're not talking about the individual config files though, are we? We're talking about the in-game interface, which to be clear, is the list you get when you click the 'Mods' button in the settings for a world. Nothing else. You're complicating the argument with elements and parameters that weren't part of the original debate.

The usage of the word 'priority' means only one thing in this context; which mod's effects will ultimately be applied. Yes, priority can mean 'which comes first' in some, in fact probably most, scenarios, but again, context .

Sorry to say but I think the confusion is in your head. I've not seen anyone else debating this, and my own testing proves you wrong.
Yellamp 27.9. klo 0.29
All the confusion stems from the word "priority." Priority can mean different things in different contexts. For example, if we create ore, and subsequent mods use it, that means the first mod takes priority. If we use a mod that changes something in the game, and a subsequent mod overwrites those values, the second mod takes priority in this context. And the official wiki uses this ambiguous word "priority." It's as if the developer couldn't find the right words, leading to a ton of misinterpretations in the guides. Honestly, this is the first time I've seen a game with such confusion in mod guides; everyone has their own interpretation, and it's often wrong. As for the mod loading order, what loads after what, and in what sequence, I previously described how that happens.

@Jackryl Ebonclaw part 2

Now go to the save settings and you'll see the order in the mod list interface:

Configurable Parameters
Your second mod
If you add Rich HUD Master (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1965654081) in the game interface and put it third on the list, then confirm and exit to the save selection window, the Sandbox_config.sbc file will be overwritten, and you'll see in this Sandbox_config.sbc file that Rich HUD Master is now first on the list, followed by your second mod and Configurable Parameters, which is no longer correct.

To summarize: in the game interface, mods are loaded in order from top to bottom, in the Sandbox_config.sbc file, mods are loaded from bottom to top (from the last one specified to the first one specified, i.e. in reverse order), this also applies to the dedicated server.

@Jackryl Ebonclaw part 1

If you want facts, here they are. What's written in the "official" wiki gives rise to a whole host of misinterpretations. To test how mods load, try this experiment:

Create a clean new world (save file)
Add one Configurable Parameters mod (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2422592854) . On the mod page, you'll see a dependency on Rich HUD Master (https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1965654081) .
This dependency will load automatically (don't download or add it yourself now, for the sake of clarity) and won't appear in your mod list. It will be added to the Sandbox_config.sbc file, and in that file, it will be listed below the Configurable Parameters mod. In the game interface, add any other mod so that it appears below Configurable Parameters. Load into the game and exit, saving your world. Then go and open the Sandbox_config.sbc file and enjoy the order:

Your second mod
Configurable Parameters
Rich HUD Master

@Yellamp

The official wiki says mods load from bottom to top (https://spaceengineers.wiki.gg/wiki/Mods , Load order section).

Google AI initially states they load from top to bottom, but then contradicts itself several times in one paragraph. Is that where you got your information from?

Please make sure you have your facts straight before chatting rubbish and being rude into the bargain. Thanks.
michi84o  [tekijä] 24.9. klo 22.17
I tested it both ways and that was the order that worked.
Yellamp 20.9. klo 5.58
You said This mod must load after Better Resources, this is in-game 1. (up) Better Resources, 2.(down) Redistributed Ore. If Redistributed Ore first it means Redistributed Ore load first (head of) then load Better Resources. Perhaps your mod needs to load before the Better Resources mod, or in other cases, you don't understand the order in which the game loads mods, sorry, nothing personal.
