This is an absolutely boiled down basic guide to being a medic, or just to stabilize your wounded comrade in Conflict Game Mode.

Before you rush to heal anyone, make sure the area is secure.

A dead medic helps no one.

Check: Once the bullets die down go up to the wounded and "Check injuries". The patient has either "Minor","Moderate" or "Severe" injuries.
They will also show if they have active bleeding, from "Light Bleeding" to "Heavy Bleeding".

Assess: By holding down ALT (RB/R1 I think for XBOX/PS5), you can see where the patient is bleeding from. Bleeding rate is determined by the colour it is, yellow is light bleeding and red is heavy bleeding.

Process: If the patient has limb injuries, use a tourniquet. Once any limbs have stopped bleeding, use a bandage to seal any bleeding at the chest and head. Once you done have that, bandage the other wounded limbs and remove the tourniquets.

(NEVER remove a tourniquet like this in real life. This is a game mechanic. Improper removal of a tourniquet in real life can cause death!).
*UPDATE 1.6*

In Conflict, you can spawn in as two different roles:
Combat Medic or Field Medic

The Combat Medic is the squad medic that has medical supplies to save a teammates life and sustain them.

The Field Medic is the faction's medic who has a medical kit and (usually) an ambulance to bring the teammates up to full health. The Field Medic gets 20 supplies in their medical kit as standard.

So, Combat Medic stops their teammate from actively dying while the Field Medic brings them up to full combat effectiveness.
*UPDATE 1.6 - Combat Medic*

Now once the bleeding stop the patient will no longer be actively dying. However, they may have impaired vision, accuracy, movement and just by treading on a rock might kill them (has happened). So in order to heal them in the field, you as a Combat Medic have two medicines; Morphine and Saline.

Morphine heals wounds but only to a certain extent at a time. It takes a lot of morphine to fully heal someone. It is mainly used to recover accuracy, movement and help the patient to wake up. Always try and use the patients own morphine first to save as much as possible for other patients.

Saline recovers lost blood. Providing saline helps with darkened vision as well as restoring the blood so that they won't die immediately if they get wounded again. Saline should "only" be used when the patient has severe injury or major blood loss.

To apply these medicines, all you have to do is hold the item in your hand, hold ALT, look at a limb and apply.
*UPDATE 1.6 - Field Medic*

Once the battle has died down, or when time permits it, you should try get your patients fully healed with minimum supplies used. That is where you as the Field Medic with your medical kit come in. When you spawn in as a Field Medic you get the medical kit.

While holding a medical kit in your hand, you can partially heal a wounded. You have to be looking at the wounded spot in order to heal them. This usually takes some time so ensure that you are in a safe spot. Your medical kit can also resupply a patient with bandages and, for some supplies, morphine.

If you have an ambulance or you are next to a medical tent you can fully heal patients instantly. Remember; The medical kit only heals injuries but not replenishes blood loss, so if the patient has lost a lot of blood you still need to apply saline treatment!

There are also hospitals at some objectives. These sites have a large red cross on the roof. If you and the patient go into one of the surgical rooms you'll be able to heal them the same way you can at a medical tent.

We have made some minor tweeks to the guide for better accuracy, for one:

- Medkit can heal by it's own but only partially.

- Titles are now changed to "Stabilization" and "Recovery" to highlight the different stages of treatment.

- Amazing visualization update by @Samothius!

Hello, unfortunately I am not a developer. I am simply a humble medic :medicon: and I have no idea how to add a respawn module for AI :c

Hello author, can you add a respawn module for AI in creative mode? I believe everyone would support its addition.

*UPDATE 1.6*

The Loadout section has been changed to highlight the difference between what I call "Combat Medic" and "Field Medic".

No problem and thank you for your compliments! Yes, you can definitely slim down the loadout for best medical practices, just watch our for those "Geneva Checklist" speed runners.

There maybe some changes on the guide in the future due to updates to the medical kit (they have the ability to store supplies in them in experimental version). We'll do our best to ensure the guide is as up-to-date as possible.

This is a good guide, thank you for it. I also tend to strip down further and try to be as light as possible, often carrying a pistol and some grenades to make up for the cost of the medical supplies - being 10-13kg has saved some lives through the improvements to sprint and average walk speed both others and my own. The downside is of course, survivability reduction, so this 'no helmet no body armour no rifle all light' setup helps more when dealing in the aftermath of mass casualty events like after helicopter rocket attacks on populated bases or driving to sites where there are wounded then moving on compared to being an embedded combat medic, in which I definitely recommend your guides' route.
