What Is This?

This mod allows server admins to link multiple maps together in a "hive", where players can move between maps with their characters and loot like you can on certain official servers.

The player is required to travel to a "transfer terminal" to initiate the map transfer (ie. a boat, helicopter, computer object etc placed with DayZ Editor).

I did not create this mod: I've simply updated and repacked it for use with DayZ 1.28, fixed a bunch of bugs and error log messages, added some extra features and recorded a detailed video guide on how to set the whole thing up.

All credit goes to Daemonforge who is the original creator of this mod.

Installation Instructions:

Install this mod like any other mod (there are many guides out there) - copy it into your server folder and add it to your server mods list. It must be run on both server and client. Make sure to copy the .bikey into your server keys.

Note: This mod requires Community Framework to function - https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=1559212036.

There are example config files and more info in the "extras" folder inside the mod.

NOTE: In the video guide I state that I thought respawning on the same server you travel to was bugged (ie. you couldn't make it so transferring from Chernarus to Livonia and dying in Livonia allowed you to respawn in Livonia and not back on Chernarus) - this is wrong.

It's easy to set it up so the player can respawn on whatever server they travel to, just make the respawn server the same server - eg:

Compatibility:

Because this mod stores data in a 3rd-party database separate to the game files, not all mods will be compatible with it by default. But I've included some compatibility .pbo files inside the "extras" folder for adding cross-server persistence to mods I use on my server (eg. DayZ Dog and Terje's Skills/Medicine).

Repack & Source Code:

You can repack this mod if you like, and do anything else you want with it for that matter. Just make sure to abide by Daemonforge's original license obligations and keep in mind my future updates won't be applied so make sure to check back for new versions if you notice any bugs. So if you want to install Maplink on a server using the Expansion mod, the only option is to remove "@DayZ-Expansion-Spawn-Selection" and give up custom spawn points, loadouts, and territory respawns.

MAPLINK MOD - INVENTORY LOSS BUG

ISSUE:
Players spawn fresh (lose items) when transferring from AoD to NH via guide,
but NH → AoD works fine.

REPRODUCE:
1. On NH server: collect items
2. Use guide to transfer to AoD → ✅ Works (spawn with items)
3. On AoD: use guide to transfer back to NH → ❌ BROKEN (spawn fresh)

LOGS SHOW:
AoD (05:30:15):
- UApiDoTravel: TransferPoint = "toskadovsk2"
- SavePlayerToUApi: Server=NH TransferPoint=toskadovsk2 ✅
- Redirect after 500ms delay

NH (05:30:31):
- API Load: TransferPoint = "toskadovsk2" ✅ (loaded correctly)
- BUT: m_TransferPoint is EMPTY when spawning ❌
- Player spawns fresh

ROOT CAUSE:
TransferPoint gets cleared between API Load and player spawn.
Race condition or timing issue causes m_TransferPoint to be empty
despite API loading it correctly.

WHY ASYMMETRIC:
- NH → AoD: Works perfectly
- AoD → NH: Broken (fresh spawn)

Only happens when using guide/conductor. Auto-redirect works fine.

A couple of your mods are affected. Others download perfectly fine (e.g. 3395555163).
Maybe some of them were hit with a DMCA takedown for some reason?

I'm also having this problem: the travel terminal isn't showing up.
Everything is configured according to the instructions.
The log file shows all registrations are working correctly, but the terminal isn't showing up.

has something been changed lately that would stop this working out of the blue? Any ideas why the option to view the terminal would disappear when it was working fine before?

I attempted to link the banov and chernarus maps. On both maps, the ships were successfully generated. However, when approaching the ships, there was no option to interact with them. I have no idea what went wrong.
