well, its as the guide OP said, only these Money bags got ink traps in it. i also tend to always cut em... but since i activate 5 or 6 contracts at once i sometimes happen to push e without realising it untill "poof" xD

the other bags mentioned by the commentators: these are the ones from the vault. there are some late story missions needing special bills (fdi marked, police marked, 1 of each mark/type) etc. and in case you already cleaned every little bill you got the get dropped for your usage, though thanks to the big washing mashine now i have only clean money xD


i think in over 50 hours in continues gameplay i had never another ink trapped bag besides the ones from the FR

Your probably right that its story related. I know ive been using your technique of cutting open any bags I get (any that will allow me to use the knife not just the reserve bags) and ive yet to find inked ones.

@Dersh I might be wrong about this, but i'm 90% sure that those bags are meant to push you through a lot of the final story quests, finding police, gang marked bills etc. The bags are always marked with the same ones, so i'm almost positive that's what they're meant for.

Actually thinking about it, it was the from the bags that are in the vault when it drops so might solely be limited to them. 6 out of 8 of them had ink for me regardless of cutting the sports bags open.

@Dersh I havent had that one happen, already ran through the entire game. Are you sure its ink? Could it just be dirt and needs to be washed?

A handy tip for the federal reserve bags, but some of the missions the cash has ink whether you cut open the bags or not. I have had many missions with inked cash in sports bags thats inked even if you cut open the bags...

@Flying Shisno. Some of the bags are locked and some are unlocked. I'm not sure if it's related to the color of the bags or not but some of them are more green while some are more tan colored.

I washed the first bag by hand because I wanted the experience. The second bag... That pile is still in my workbench and I think I'm missing a useful portion of the game because I can't be bothered to finish cleaning it all, haha! Bag 3 didn't get me.
