The full scale map pinpoints the location of all 50 letter scraps, and the screenshots from Fandom show what these locations look like in-game.

Accessing this scrap with a land vehicle is challenging but possible with a vehicle that is good at scaling mountains. Helicopter recommended but not strictly necessary.

This scrap is on top of the letter "I" in the "VINEWOOD" sign.

This scrap is in a small hedge maze next to the "Biranda Building" in the "Kortz Center".
If you enter the maze directly opposite the sign that says "Russian Literature", directions to the scrap are as follows: Forward (enter the maze); Right; Left ;Left; Left; Left. The scrap is in an oddly shaped open area.

This scrap in Richards Majestic is on an exterior raised walkway, next to a building labelled "Stage 14". There is a staircase which makes it accessible on foot.

This scrap is under the bridge over the water passageway that connects Vespucci Canals to the Pacific Ocean (via La Puerta).

This scrap sits atop a stack of 3 shipping containers. You can climb nearby shipping containers like a staircase.
You can easily make the diagonal jump shown in this screenshot to the scrap.

Letter Scrap 43

This scrap is in the railway tunnel that runs under Cypress Flats.
On the map, if you look south of the location of this scrap, you can follow the thick grey line to its termination - just before a curved bridge over a body of water. At this location is an entrance to the tunnel containing this scrap, easily accessible by car.
If you enter the tunnel at the location shown in the above screenshot, the scrap will appear on your left.

This scrap is onboard a large boat propped in Elysian Island. There is a single metal boarding bridge on the west side making the scrap accessible on foot.

Letter Scrap 45

This scrap is on the back porch of a single-floor house in Davis that can be identified by its red garage door and 2 potted plants in front of the house.

This scrap is at the Los Santos International Airport outdoor taxi waiting area, on the ground level. There is a large red "LSIA" sign nearby.

Letter Scrap 48

This scrap is in the northern part of a remote island off the east coast. If you have any trouble locating the island, locate Puerto Del Sol Marina on the map, then move east until you see an island in the Pacific Ocean.

Letter Scrap 49

This scrap is on the lower level roof of the distinctive "Sightings" bar and restaurant next to Los Santos International Airport. It can only be accessed by helicopter or parachuting.

Letter Scrap 50

This scrap is on top of a crane and in the same location as Parachute Jump 6/13. This scrap is at the 2nd highest point in Los Santos and is only accessible on foot. I hope you like ladders!

A Starlet in Vinewood

After collecting the 50th Letter Scrap, the mission "A Starlet in Vinewood" will unlock for Franklin only.

When you arrive at the mission location in Vinewood Hills,a cutscene will show Franklin confronting the killer in their back garden. The killer will then attempt to flee in their vehicle parked nearby. You can complete the mission by either allowing them to escape, or killing them. Note that the only requirement to get a gold rating for this mission is to kill the killer.

Upon completion of this mission, you will earn the "A Mystery, Solved" achievement.
