Key Early Game Strategies (First 3-4 Doors)
  • Prioritize Gold: Getting enough gold early is crucial to unlock your first "blessing" (a starting bonus).
  • Look for Blue Blessings: Aim for a blue-quality blessing on your first try. If you don't get one, it's often faster to restart the run.
  • Egg Rooms: The room after the initial one will always have eggs. Eggs guarantee "orb drops," which give you more experience early on, leading to more "souls" (currency) for upgrades.
  • Reroll Wisely: Don't waste rerolls (using "F" or "R") on early green blessings. Save them for later when you have a better chance of getting higher-quality (blue, purple, orange) bonuses.
Mid-Game Progression & Unit Synergies
  • Unit Combinations: Combine lower-tier units (whites, greens) to create higher-tier (blue, purple) units with better stats and abilities.
  • "Office Worker" Synergy (Fortune Cat): The starting character, "Fortune Cat," benefits from having "Office Worker" units. Aim for at least two purple Office Workers for a damage bonus.
Key Unit Types & Their Roles
  • Mages: Often used for magic-based builds with the Cat.
  • Beast Tamers: Provide magic power bonuses.
  • Knights (Wolf Knight): Deal damage based on health and magic.
  • Shield Bearers: Can be combined into the "Bone Shield Sorcerer" for magic damage and curses.
  • Beauties: Be cautious as their charm ability can push valuable drops away.
  • Monks: A unit the monk builds into is Zhu Bajie.
  • Rebel Teenagers (Gambler/Tycoon): Tycoons generate gold.
  • Robot (Engineer): An Office Worker type, helpful for clearing map nodes (ores, chests, eggs) quickly.
  • Blacksmiths: Generate ore over time.
General Tips
Forge Management: Use ore to upgrade equipment. Green forges allow you to sell lower-tier equipment. Blue Forges allow you to sell green-tier items, and so on.

Shrine Timing: Shrines (offering unit recruitment) have a specific spawn timing throughout the run.
Boss Strategies
  • Three Dungeon Types: Eternal Forest, Lava, and Ancient Forest, each with two unique bosses.
  • Boss Mechanics: Most bosses Challenge 3 and above have a "rage" mechanic at half health, becoming stronger.
  • Phoenix (Lava): Unique boss that respawns once at Challenge 3+, becoming stronger the second time. This makes the Lava dungeon the hardest.
  • Minotaur (Ancient Forest): Very fast but easily dealt with if you have enough movement speed.
  • Treant (Ancient Forest): Slower but fires many projectiles, some hard to see.
  • Golem (Lava): Behaves similarly to the Minotaur.
  • Slime King & Minotaur (Eternal Forest)
  • Bear & Treant (Ancient Forest)
  • Golem & Phoenix (Lava)
Late Game & Optimization
  • Focus on Purple Units: Aim to get your core synergy units to purple quality as quickly as possible.
  • Gold Growth: A valuable late-game blessing for accumulating more gold.
  • Skill Cooldown Reduction: Very important for frequently using unit special abilities.
  • Movement Speed: Crucial for dodging boss attacks, especially the Minotaur.
  • Damage Types: The player is focusing on a magic damage build with the Fortune Cat.
  • Reroll for Key Stats: In later stages, use rerolls to try and get orange blessings with desired stats like attack speed, magic power, or gold growth.
  • Treasure Chest Runs: Quickly clearing rooms with chests can help complete challenges.
