This guide will help you unlock the Trophy of Drafting achievement!


In order to get the achievement you have to draft at least 20 dead-end rooms on a day.

There are a few prerequisites to have, and a little luck is involved with the first few drafts, then you can follow the strategy in this guide, and you are all set!.

• Have an Allowance worth at least 50 coins
  
  
• Have unlocked the Treasure Trove (ideally with around 50 coins)
  
  
• Have at least 50 stars

The main strategy is to build upward paths in columns 2 and 5:

• Column 2 should be filled with 4-door rooms
  
• Column 5 should be filled with 3-door rooms

NOTE: Before ranking up, prioritize placing dead-end rooms in columns 1, 2, or 4, depending on whether you are ascending via column 2 or 5. This will help control the drafting pool and ensure you have optimal placement options later on.

The luck element mostly affects the early drafts. In ranks 1 and 2, it's crucial to draft and place the following rooms as soon as possible:

• Observatory – Allows redrafting using the power of the stars
  
  
• Laundry Room – Lets you exchange money for gems and keys
  
  
• Treasure Trove – Provides extra money to spend in the Laundry Room

Tip: If you're lucky enough to draft a Study early, consider placing it too; it allows you to redraft using gems.

Start the day by picking up your allowance, then move toward the outer room. Ideally, aim for either:

• Shelter – Protects you from the red room effects
  
  
• Toolshed – May contain ivory dice, which are valuable in the early drafts

After this, return to the Hallway and begin your room drafts. With a bit of luck, you'll get access to the Observatory and Laundry Room early on. If not, stay focused on your layout strategy: prioritize creating the ascending paths in columns 2 and 5, while placing dead-end rooms in columns 1, 2, and 4.

Once the Laundry Room is available, convert your entire allowance into gems; you'll need a lot, especially if you manage to draft an early Study. When the Treasure Trove appears, collect the money, return to the Laundry Room, and exchange it for keys.

Once you have 50+ gems and keys, and at least the Observatory or Study (ideally both), you can fully commit to the strategy. Use your redrafts, powered by stars and gems, to consistently aim for 4-door rooms in column 2 and 3-door rooms in column 5.

Before ranking up, always make sure to draft dead-end rooms for columns 1, 2, and 4. If dead-end rooms aren’t available, redraft using stars or gems until you get that option. This step is essential to maintain control over your layout and ensure a smooth upward path.

Once you reach Rank 9, your mansion should look something like this:



In my run, I got unlucky and drafted a late Study, so I had to redraft with the Stars. I spent about 20 Stars to achieve this run. At the end, I was able to draft 22 dead-end rooms.






The Trophy will be delivered in the Mail Room some day later, together with a 200 gold prize.

• Drafting a Bunk Room counts as two dead ends.
  
  
• You can use the Royal Scepter (if you have it) to force a Treasure Trove to spawn by selecting the Black color at the start of the day.
  
  
• If you're low on steps, you can leave some money behind in the Treasure Trove and use it later in the Kitchen to gain extra steps.
  
  
• Mirror Room counts as a dead-end
  
  
• Do NOT pick up Freezer early if you don't have a Furnace: it will freeze your gems, thus blocking you from redrafting
  
  
• Following this strategy will likely help you earn the Full House achievement if you haven't unlocked it already.
  
  
• The antechamber counts as a dead-end
  
  
• If you don't have the key card, remember to set up the security to Low and Unlock (you will come by a Utility Closet sooner or later, and you will have enough keys so you don't have to rely on the security doors.
