If it doesn't work I don't know any other way to help you, since I can't play the demo no more because I bought the full game, sorry
-- rather stuck trying to get the cloud gear on granny's island, since those propellers don't exist in the demo, yet the achievement says it's possible.
tried double-backwards jumping, single-backwards jumping then 180 cam rotation into an perfect dash, forward-facing rapid-cancelled single-backjump into an perfect dash, and even just perfect-dashing from the very edge of the cloud, yet every time, it's not far enough.
-- main issue being that, every time you do an backwards jump, even if holding forwards, you'll still move backwards somewhat, which reduces the reach of the dashes after.
that, and you can't rotate the camera fast enough to go back to facing forwards from 180 degrees before the amount of time you have for the momentary pause runs out.
i just can't figure it out.
