How to Convert Tree It Trees for NoLimits 2

If you've tried using Tree It to make trees for NoLimits 2, you’ve probably noticed the results aren’t ideal right out of the box — the trees are massive and the textures don't always behave properly.

This guide will walk you through how to get your trees properly scaled and textured, ready for import into NoLimits 2.

What You’ll Need
Tree It (to create your tree)
Blender (for scaling and exporting correctly)
NoLimits 2 (to import and use your tree)
Step 1: Export from Tree It
1. Click Export.
2. Choose Wavefront (.obj) as the export format.
3. Save the .obj file somewhere easy to find.
Step 2: Import into Blender
1. Open Blender.
2. Go to File > Import > Wavefront (.obj) and select your exported tree.
3. If you don’t see textures, don’t worry — they are there. Blender just might not display them by default.
Step 3: Scale Your Tree
1. In the bottom-right panel, click on the orange square icon (Object Properties).
2. Under the Transform section, change:
Scale X: 0.014
Scale Y: 0.014
Scale Z: 0.014

(You can tweak this value if the tree still looks too large or small in NL2.)
Step 4: Export as Collada
1. Go to File > Export > Collada (.dae).
2. Save the file somewhere you'll remember.

⚠️ Important: Exporting as .dae is necessary! Otherwise, textures won’t have proper transparency in NL2. Not sure why — it just works.
Step 5: Import into NoLimits 2
1. Open NoLimits 2 and import the .dae file.
2. Your tree should now be correctly textured and scaled in-game.
Done!
You’ve successfully converted a Tree It tree for NoLimits 2. Enjoy populating your coaster scenes with great-looking, properly scaled trees!
