Introduction
What is Prop surfing?
Prop surfing is a glitch of the collision system that can be used to "fly" to locations, that are hard to reach otherwise.

How does it even work?
Prop surfing is a glitch-mechanic in some physic based games, that allow the player to grab items underneath and push our self on top the prop towards the sky.

In this game specific the "grabbed" object/prop does not have collision with the player but with other objects. If you now grab a prop that lies under a another prop we are standing on, the collision between the "non-grabbed" prop and the player will persist. Also the collision between the grabbed object and the prop "on top" will be persistent while grabbing.

Is it hard to accomplish?
Yes and no. If you have too much force on the object, because the player is grabbing from a greater distance (thicker props for example), the force to the player will be so great, that the objects will catapult you far away with almost no control. (Sometime multiple hundreds of meters/yards)

Why is this guide helpful?
The guide teach you a method to learn and accomplish a stable flight in no time.
Otherwise it can be hard to learn or understand what is required to do this properly.
Step 1 - The Setup
To get a easy and smooth ride, it is essential to get the setup right.

Collect two thin objects, like Boards (See screenshot).

Now place them like a cross on the ground.

I recommend a 10-20m (11-22 yards) of distance to the building you want to climb. This increases if the building is higher.

The first piece on the ground should be aligned towards the building.
With the second piece we build like a cross on the ground, on top the first.

I like to keep a margin of 1:3 from the sides. Placing in the middle could be to fast to fly.

Step 2 - The Position
Now we position our self crouching on top of the second board.

We aim towards the mid between the end and the second board with our cursor.

Now we click a to "pick up" the underlying first board.

Step 3 - The Ride
After the click while crouching, we now fly.

While flying you can move the cursor with gentle movement to steer and accelerate.

You can easily determine where to land and "Release" the board to do so.

You can also take one of those square plates of steel under you and spam jump while looking down. It works half of the time, but you get a smaller launch that helps when you just need to get on rooftops

Also you can take a box, put something like a Board or a Pallet in it and fly, it's an easy way to climb to any height. The method is basically the same, but much easier to control.
