Replaces Sanity. Immune to negative sanity auras from darkness and monsters. Automatically regenerates 30 points per minute. Consumed when Dusk uses exclusive weapons or skills.

### **Character Traits**

**Imitation**
Dusk and **"Little Freeling"** gain 5% of the target's max HP as Ink Taint Value when killing non-structural entities.

**Phase of the Year's Body**
- Immune to HP loss from extreme cold/heat (but loses -30 Ink Taint Value/min).
- Immune to HP/Sanity cap penalties.
- Regenerates 1 HP every 5 seconds.
- No penalties from eating raw/monster meat.
- Gains full benefits from stale food.
- Can eat raw birch nuts.
- Automatically revives 4 minutes after becoming a ghost.

**Mindshift**
- Can craft Butterflies (1 Butterfly Wing + 5 Sanity).
- Convert 20 Ink Taint Value into Nightmare Fuel.
- Convert 3 Nightmare Fuel into Pure Fear; 3 Pure Fear into Despair Stone.
- Absorb Nightmare Fuel/Pure Fear to restore attributes.
- Can craft gems.

**Erudition**
Can craft and read books. Starts with Tier 1 Science and Magic tech.

**Dragon's Evasion**
When attacked while wearing Ink Phantom Armor (or upgraded):
70% * current Ink Taint Value% (minimum 35%) chance to dodge damage and deal 136 * Attack Multiplier true damage to the attacker.

**Ink Concentration**
Attack Multiplier scales dynamically with Ink Taint Value% (max 0.5x, min 0.25x).

**Deep Ink**
Non-friendly units within a 16 range of Dusk take 10% more attack damage and deal 10% less attack damage; if the target's health is below 50%, the effects are doubled.

**Picky Eater**
Has "Warly-style" food memory (240-second duration).

**Flight** (Right-click self,unlocked in elite1)
- Requires holding "Tu Gui Shen."
- +50% movement speed. Ignores collision, webs, ice/fire traps, cobblestones. Can traverse water/void.
- Consumes 70 Ink Taint Value/min while flying.

**Profound Ink Detonation** (Z Key)
- Consumes 10 Ink Taint (or 5 HP) to explode a target (non-self/non-Dusk). Deals 100 * Attack Multiplier true damage. Destroys destructible structures.

*Starting item. Craftable with 1 Fence Sword + 40 Gold Nuggets + 40 Nightmare Fuel.*

**Ink Consumption**: Attacks consume 2.5 Ink Taint (or 1.25 HP).
**Ink Glow**: Emits faint light when equipped.

**Elite Stage 1 - Sublimation**:
- Each kill by Dusk/**"Little Freeling"** increases Attack Multiplier by 2% and slightly expands glow radius (max 21 stacks). Resets daily.

**Elite Stage 2 - Essence**:
- Attacks summon a **"Little Freeling"** (25s duration, 4min cooldown).
*(**Little Freeling**: 100 HP, 1 HP/s regen, 60% DR, -30% dmg from lunar faction, +30% dmg to lunar faction, 50% less dmg from bosses, Speed 9, ATK 51, 1.3s attack interval)*

**Transcendental Stroke**:
- Charges every 5s (max 3 stacks). Next attack gains AoE splash and deals 250% ATK as true damage.

**Transcendental Stroke (Active)**:
- Consumes 50 Ink Taint to summon **"Little Freeling"** at feet.

**Flowing Ink (Active - Elite 1)**:
- 100 Ink Taint to spray ink in a cone (20s duration). Grants Super Armor, 34% DR. Deals 100 + 0.025% target max HP true damage/s. +30% dmg if target <50% HP. Cooldown: 58s.

**Image Over Form (Active - Elite 2)**:
- +1s attack interval, +120% ATK, 64-range AoE, expanded vision. Doubles Ink Consumption. Heals and refreshes all **"Little Freeling"** in range. Summons one if ≤5 exist.

**Ink Teleport**:
- Right-click ground/target. 10 Ink Taint to teleport and deal weapon ATK as AoE true damage (6 units).

*Craft with 1 Ink Phantom Armor + 10 Nightmare Fuel + 10 Thulecite.*
80% DEF, 40% DR, +25% ATK, +20 Ink Taint/min, 40% Waterproof, +10% Dodge Chance.

**Storage Scroll**
12 slots. Preserves freshness. Can "package" entities into scroll (only Dusk can unpack).

Unlocks **Sublimation** and **Splashed Ink Frenzy**. Permanently +10% ATK/Speed.

Max Level 10. Each level: +0.05x ATK, +0.025% DR, -0.04x Hunger Rate.

**"Endless Night"**
When dealing true damage per level, restore 0.005% of the damage * level of the ink stain value.
- Level 1: Restores 1 Ink Taint/4s if **"Little Freeling"** nearby.
- Level 3: **"Little Freeling"** gains 2 shields, ATK 102, HP 200.
- Level 5: Heals 0.0025% * level of true damage dealt.
- Level 8: Attacks hit additional enemies within 8 units.
- Level 10: Can revive via self-haunting; others can haunt Dusk to revive .
