NovaCore AI transforms NPC behavior in Garry's Mod, adding depth and realism to combat interactions. This tutorial will walk you through how to set up and use NovaCore AI for your NPCs.

Step 1: Installation
Download NovaCore AI: Make sure you have the addon downloaded and placed in the addons folder of your Garry’s Mod installation directory. Make sure to have VJ Base installed otherwise it will give you errors.

Activate the addon: Once in Garry’s Mod, the addon will be ready to use once the game starts up. Ensure that it’s properly loaded.javascript:ValidateForm()

Step 2: Spawning NPCs
Open the spawn menu (Q) and look for NovaCore NPCs under the category NPCS.

NovaCore AI adds dynamic combat behavior:

Flanking: If an NPC spots an opportunity, it may attempt to flank its enemies, taking a route around the target for a surprise attack.

High Ground Snipers: Some NPCs may try to get to higher ground during combat.

Step 5: Emotional Reactions
The NPCs in NovaCore AI can react emotionally during combat, changing their tactics:

Fear: If an NPC is losing or heavily injured, it might retreat or become more cautious.

Aggression: NPCs with the upper hand will show increased confidence, attacking with more intensity.

Confidence: When at full health or in a strong position, NPCs will display aggressive behavior toward enemies.

Last step: Testing
After setting up the NPCs and adjusting roles, try starting a test combat scenario. Watch how NPCs react to each other, how leaders issue orders, and how backup and support NPCs move in sync to provide a challenging and engaging experience.
