Why?
Because other guides are either outdated or full of bull's.
Also, because other guides don't actually teach you how to speedrun your first million.
Step 1: prerequisites
Speedrunning implies completely fresh start, GSO lvl1 and an excuse of a vehicle.
Tutorial can be skipped.
ALL except two corporations can be skipped.

We need GSO lvl3 - which can be obtained by rushing quests and from occasional invasions.
We also need GeoCorp lvl2 - which is a no-brainer with quests like "destroy 50 trees" and "destroy 200 rocks".

It's important:
You should speedrun "turret defence" quest, which is guaranteed to appear among first quests, to have Inventory unlocked.
You can ignore Supply Drop quest (which usually gives SCU Storage) afterwards.
If you need to put something into your pocket - place ANY anchor'able module, attach needed thing to it, then send everything at once to Inventory from anchored module's Right Mouse Button menu (or vehicles management list).

It's also important:
Do NOT complete Big Yellow quest before getting decent wheels with evenly decent guns on these!
The moment you get some company's license, invaders (and, overall, enemies) which use this corporation's blocks CAN start spawning in your game!
And vehicles made with GeoCorp blocks sure can take a punch...
Do not unlock other corporations unless you're 100% sure what you're doing (read: Venture, but more on this later) either.
Step 2: building blocks
OF COURSE we'll gonna need auto miners.
I've learned the hard way that getting Crafty Business IV quest (with its guaranteed GSO Miner reward) can take 4+ in-game days, which is ALOT.
This quest doesn't seem to be a requirement for getting auto miners elsewhere, like:
  • from arrogant invaders (who puts auto miners on vehicles built for invasion, anyway?!)
  • or from GeoCorp, our beloved!
1 (one) GC Auto Miner needs said GC lvl2 - but it works significantly faster than GSO miner. Costs BB5k though - which is a bit too much, but since we don't need to spend anything in early game yet, by the time we'll have these in stock - we'll have enough cash to buy 2 of these in addition to whatever else we got as a stray loot.

It's important:
"Mandatory" ("storyline") quests seem to always take over randomized quests in available quests list.
EVEN if you don't have any surveyed space to spawn mandatory quests at (read: starting biome smol and/or there are hills and mountains all over the place. Some mandatory quests need ALOT of flat terrain to spawn...) Which results in no quests being offered whatsoever. Save+load (to make sure it's not some UI bug), then move to trading station further from your world's starting position.
Accept as many quests as you like. Fail or ignore most of these. There are no penalties for failing early game corporations' quests anyway, and even with 12+ quests in questlog you DO get fresh quests.

We'll obviously need some Delivery Cannon and resource Receiver.
Crafty Business I quest is almost guaranteed to spawn in the beginning of the game - and it awards you with Refinery, Receiver AND the cannon for just slapping some modules into place and listening to Crafty Mike's gibberish.

Having any Refinery is prudent too!
1 GSO Refinery can chew chunks from 4 GC miners just fine, increasing your income by ~30% by a virtue of just being between Receiver and Delivery Cannon.
It does NOT need any Belts, by the way. It can be linked directly. As a rule of a thumb, if the arrow is glowing - it's attached properly.
GC refinery is tad faster, but it's completely irrelevant.
Because we're about to introduce our secret ingredient, which will allow us chew chunks from dozens of auto miners without breaking a sweat.
At once.
Step 3: GSO Pacemaker

That's why we grinded towards GSO lvl3.
Attach this thing to your refinery+cannon combo.
Park it somewhere where it can grab all those precious chunks.
Hold Right Mouse Button on Pacemaker and select Turbo.
Watch in awe how your 1 (one) refinery gums those chunks and spits refined resources.
And you know what's the best part?
It works on Delivery Cannons!
Find some exceptionally rich vein of, say, Erudite. 6-10 resource spots crammed together.
Slam an Auto Miner on top of each.
Orient them towards your turbo refinery+cannon barge's Receiver.
And see raining cash.
Advanced techniques
Find some time to nab Venture lvl2 License.
It'll require jumping through some hoops, that's for sure. Quite literally, most of the time.
And it's well worth it.
Lo and behold. Refinery and a Cannon which:
  • do work with Pacemaker
  • don't have to be anchored to do the thing

With these two little gizmos, you can wander off to some place not so far from your miners (so miners would still work and chunks won't despawn).
Then return, quickly chew through chunks pile.
Then wander away again.
Convenient!
Since Receivers don't have to be anchored at all, and the rest does its job on the go too, you can grab each and every chunk along your way (and there will be a plenty! those blasted trees!) for a little extra income!
(and you won't ever need any Silo since Turbo refinery+cannon would process chunks so fast so these won't just ever gonna pile up)

Bonus points for not needing (quite bugged, by the way) Filter conveyor belts.
You simply won't ever have situations where some refined chunk fell off (happens during emergency un-anchoring most of the time) and you need to route it to the Cannon manually.

a GC miner runs about 3x faster than a GSO miner. The advantage of a GSO miner is that you can cram 4 on a relatively flat resource node. unfortunately, a quad miner burps up its chunks in every direction...

another thing you can do pretty early is get scrappers set up and just start scrapping every single tech that enters your line of sight. there are a suprising amount of blocks that break down into valuable chunks and components

Ive found that getting the mobile refinery and delivey cannon from venture is extremely inconsistent. the fastest way I myself have been able to consistently obtain them is by hitting max rank and getting the thing that sells you all of ventures blocks. And I play with the greencorp mod which drops parts only from venture crates, so I do a lot of venture missions and rarely ever see ether of those items pop up until i get the venture payload terminal. ive found that its easier to just use the anchored ones and use silos to store chunks in between anchoring for energy, this way you can also make use of a furnace so you dont need to try and cram solar panels onto your craft
