it looks good on the 4th map but on the roof top its looks very out of place

The video essay thesis below me hit the nail on the head tbh. Tons of good was lost between Beta and L4D1, even more was lost in the leap in tone to L4D2, then Cold Stream and TLS muddied it up even further. Getting the workshop was enough of a godsend to be worth it in the end, that's the only reason I'm not more pissy about this game's direction

i always loved how claustrophobic the behhytha no mercy finale was, like you were really were stuck in the middle of this huge city...it had this suffocating feeling that is very much lost with the retail version.

I mean back in '08 the view up there was pretty cool, and being the highest building around felt right for a helicopter pickup, its just different. I think they maybe dropped the horror angle a bit too much in retail.

But hell, 2 removed any shred of horror entirely so it is what it is...the tone is so incredibly different even right from the start with the intros... nowadays i think i prefer the horror angle and what 1 was going for more

This actually doesn't look too bad, I figured it would due to the fact that the retail skybox is more 3D than 2D. I would personally tone down the $selfillumtint in the VMT though, retail tends to make ♥♥♥♥ brighter than it actually is.
