Nemesis: Redux

描述
Nemesis: Redux is a fan-made project based on the Nemesis board game (the original). It takes all of the main features of the original game and adds many of the updated mechanics from the new upcoming Nemesis: Retaliation game, that have been re-balanced. In addition, entirely new mechanics have been added for a truly unique Nemesis gameplay experience.

This mod also features lots of optional automation and QoL that makes playing it easy with very little upkeep.

Information on what's different can be found in the mod. Above the table, there are various info sheet graphics that explains what's different and what new rules to follow.

LATEST UPDATE 9/16/25:
• Added the Sangrevores as an alternate life form.
• Changed rules for destroying Eggs in the Nest. It can no longer be done naturally through Melee and Shoot Actions. Instead, players must use the Room Action to alternatively destroy an Egg, instead of picking one up. Eggs can still be burned by Fire. Grenades can still destroy 2 Eggs.
• Auto Move tool now starts ON by default after Start.
• Added a Computer Deck auto reshuffle tool (courtesy of Their@Steam).
• The Broadcast message for auto roller tools will now print which type of dice was rolled.
• Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented the first player token from being properly placed during setup.
• Analyzing Objects (Laboratory Room Action and Analyze Toolset Item) now only give 2 Knowledge, instead of 3.
• Caffeine Pills item no longer requires the user to reveal their drawn cards or perform the Infection Procedure.
• Prototype Shotgun text updated to mention you do not roll the Combat die again when applying its additional Hit.
• Reagent Item's bottom effect no longer makes Intruders Retreat. Instead, it can be used to place Fire if you have 4 or more Knowledge.
• Replaced the Focused Fire Field Data Card with Advance Tactics.
• The Critical Analysis Field Data Card can now look at the top 2 Event cards and the top 3 Attack cards.
• Stand your Ground Field Data Card's bottom action now only draws the player 1 card, instead of 2.

Thank you for all those who helped play test the Sangrevores! Please check the rules, as there are several tweaks.

HOTFIX 9/28/25:
• Added additional notes to the Sangrevores rule book that were not covered.
• Fixed a bug that caused the Sangrevore King to be placed in the highest room Number, instead of the lowest, when his token was drawn in the Bag Development step.
• Fixed a bug that caused a Malfunction marker to be placed in the Nest when discovering it.

2 more things:

1. The hacker's trait refers to 'the first thing in THE round'. Does that mean they only get the benefit if it is the very first thing they do in that player phase or every time the turn passes to them?

2. And similarly: The knee serious wound refers to 'first thing in a round'. Does that also only apply to the very first action in the player phase or every time the turn is passed to that player?

And another question: When using the Xenobiologist's 'Overmind' card and moving an alien into a technical corridor, do they go back into the bag, as if they had retreated, or do they actually move through it and you put them into some other room with a technical corridor?

@Wolviller111 that's intentional to offset the stronger combat capabilities of players.

@MasterBongo - yes no synergy of those two cards. I have been thinking of changing up his weapon though from something besides shoot twice, since it's been such a trouble maker when synergized with other shoot triggers.

I like most of the changes, though it does feel like you can get shafted a little too easily. Queen can spawn from the start of the game. It's easy to get swarmed by enemies and then very hard to get away, since they will just follow you.

Feels like there's just a bit too much enemy spawn.

Can you activate Sentrys "Hail of bullets" with his Submachine Guns effect for a total of 6 attacks that all ignore the ammoo part of the roll?
