TopHat's Herero

Adds the Herero, led by Jacob Morenga, to the game as a custom civilization. The cattle-herding Herero were one of the main populations in precolonial Namibia; Jacob Morenga, of both Herero and Nama descent, was able to lead those two groups collectively in their resistance to German colonization. As a measure of respect for his skilled military leadership, the Europeans nicknamed Morenga “the Black Napoleon.”

This mod replaces my previous Namibia mod under Jacob Morenga. That mod is no longer available on the Steam Workshop, but can be downloaded directly from here[drive.google.com].

UNIQUE ABILITY: HEROES OF THE RED FLAG

Newly trained units gain starting experience per Pasture within three tiles of the city that trained them. Garrisoned Mounted units provide their cities with +1 Faith per turn.

UNIQUE UNIT: OX RIDER

Replaces the Cavalry. Does not require Horses. Once per unit, spawns a Cattle resource when promoted on resourceless Desert.

UNIQUE BUILDING: OKURUUO HEARTH

Replaces the Shrine. In addition to the normal Shrine benefits, cities with an Okuruuo Hearth get +5% production towards Mounted and pre-gunpowder Melee units per point of Faith they generate.
