After your shields go down and an enemy starts to eat away at your armor - turn your Robot's torso as you take damage. If you simply stare at your enemy or give them a side profile the enemy will easily be able to target a single component and destroy you. However, if you turn your Robot as you take Armor damage the damage will be dispersed across multiple components.
