How to find Dalamadur...again

He's back! But sadly, the Forbidden Lands weren't merciful either.

For those who don`t know him:
Dalamadur is an Elder Dragon introduced in Monster Hunter 4. Dalamadur's Japanese name (Dara Amadyura) is a reference to the Babylonian word for tower which is "Dara" and the Babylonian word for armor which is "Amadyura".

There is the original Dalamadur and its subspecies, which is called Shah Dalamadur.
This subspecies features a lighter, sand-colored hide with red-orange spines (see below)

Head to the Wounded Hollow.

Have your Support Hunters distract the Nerscylla so you have a few moments to freely look around.
To the top right of where you came from, you should be able to see a familiar skull between rocks.
You'll also notice a lot of huge bones poking out of the surrounding walls which most likely are part of Dalamadurs skeleton.

Fun Facts
Unlike other monsters, Dalamadur has two icons which show the front and back of its body and are used to target its head and tail respectively.



Dalamadur, along with its variant, is currently the largest known monster in the core Monster Hunter games. In regards to the overall franchise, only Laviente and its variants are larger.

@iridescentiris zora is smaller in length bit is heavier by a landslide because for their size they are lighter but not like quiermatrece light. like if we put (i dunno) 100 golms and a few of that whale elder dragon ( i forgot it's name lol XD (but it is like a boreal yeti-whale with horns it trims on ice sheets in tri))

to be fair on the size comparison. the numbers we use for Dalmadur is for a young one.
Made more obvious by the fact the skeleton in both the wounded hollow AND the rotten veil are VASTLY bigger.

tl;dr the 'numbers' used on the wiki as well as the one we fought in 4 are about a quarter of a mile long.

so based on how much wider the bones are, we are very much reaching KM status easily.

True, they most likely are Dalamadur ribs!
I'll update the guide with some screenshots once I got time!

also the ribs in the grand hub may be dalmandur or a laviente not sure tho

Why did you make your guide settings that the language is German? No one who is looking for English guides will be able to find your guide like this.

According to this Fandom article, if including Frontier, Laviente beats them all in size but overall, Zorah Magdaros seems to always be on the "smaller" end.
