Growable Synthread and Hyperweave

Beskrivning
Description

This small mod allows you to plant and grow your own synthread and hyperweave plants based off the trusty cotton plant with each being slightly different in colour so they are recognisable. They can be planted in both soil and hydroponics.

Since synthread is way rarer than it should be to make anything useful from it (and you usually blow right past it normally), I've added it around the same level and requirements as devilstrand. Similarly, the hyperweave plant takes a lot more skill and time to grow and generates low numbers but can now be a viable late-game way of acquiring it and making good clothing for your colonists.

You will need to research the Advanced Textile Crops research to unlock these and brings you from the mid game into the late game. This requires both the multi-analyser and hydroponics research to start researching.

Lastly, as they are advanced crops they are quite fragile so make sure you guard them well. Similarly, both are immune to blight.

Maybe switch the crops to precursors for either textile, and add crafting recipes - "25 Cloth + 25 Precursor A = 25 Synthread" (or use Chemfuel instead of Cloth, we´re talking synthetics here after all) and "25 Synthread + 25 Precursor B = 25 Hyperweave" or something like that? Those precursors would have a role similar to Neutroamine for drug/medicine production.

Updated for 1.6 - and thank you all for feedback, I am currently looking into how to extend this so it requires crafting time/skill instead of a straight item drop.

Really cool concept, definitely echo the suggestion of making it so they drop raw items you have to spend labor to convert. Super handy, just a tad too OP as is.

good mod, but too easy, i really really want and need hyperweave for prosthetics but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is hard to come by, i literally have no use for it at all anywhere else. But like someone said, add late game refining of it and it'd be sweet, rn you can just grow it as a tribal lmao

synthread and hyperweave are highly advanced synthetic materials and cant be grown out of simple plants :sob:

That or make some process with hyperweave where the harvesting of it gives you raw hyperweave and then you have to do some other process to weave it into hyperweave. It would be like a heavy workload kind of fiber but given its benefits, it makes sense.

I would suggest, if you're interested in balance, for the hyperweave plant at least to have a ~150% fertility requirement, which would make them require hydroponics, not considering other mods.
