Chilean buildings built around the 60s and 70s, based on buildings found around Lan-C, Concepción.

The construction of the blocks in the Lan-C population of Hualpén is part of the process of urbanization and housing development that the area experienced during the second half of the twentieth century. Originally, in the sector where Lan-C is located, there was the Hualpencillo Aerodrome, operational between 1941 and 1967. After its closure, the Housing Corporation (Corvi) acquired this land to develop social housing projects aimed at meeting the growing housing demand, especially after the 1960 earthquake that left many victims in the region. Thus, several towns, including Lan-B and Lan-C, were built between 1968 and 1978.

La construcción de los bloques en la población Lan-C de Hualpén se enmarca en el proceso de urbanización y desarrollo habitacional que experimentó la zona durante la segunda mitad del siglo XX. Originalmente, en el sector donde se ubica Lan-C, existió el Aeródromo de Hualpencillo, operativo entre 1941 y 1967. Tras su cierre, la Corporación de la Vivienda (Corvi) adquirió estos terrenos para desarrollar proyectos de viviendas sociales destinados a satisfacer la creciente demanda habitacional, especialmente tras el terremoto de 1960 que dejó a muchos damnificados en la región. Así, se construyeron diversas poblaciones, entre ellas Lan-B y Lan-C, entre los años 1968 y 1978.
