The following is a comprehensive guide to Tiny Pasture, the game which allows you to have tiny adorable animals jumping across the bottom of your screen as you do other things.

Tired of actively playing the game or having to close it down whenever you leave the computer? Worried or annoyed that your animals don't get taken care of when you're not there? Then Facilities are the thing for you.

There are a total of four facilities: The Money Beehive, the Magic Broom, the Mystery Curtain, and the Cuckoo House. All of which can be upgraded up to four times.

Whenever an animal of yours has reached the maximum amount of money they can store, a tiny little bee is sent out to automatically collect the money straight into your bank account. No more petting the animals to claim the money necessary.

At level 1 you will start with a single slow bee and as you upgrade the Money Beehive the bees will grow faster and the amount will increase up to a total of 5 bees.

Sends out a broom to sweep up your animals' poops for you, has a cool-down between sweeping.

As you upgrade the broom it will move faster, the cool-down period will decrease, and the amount of poop the broom can sweep per activation increases up to a maximum of 5.

Unlocks the ability to breed together two animals of the same species.

As you upgrade the Mystery Curtain the cool-down period between breeding session decreases, starting at 15 minutes at level 1 and ending at 1 minute for level 5.

NOTE: Upgrades take into effect starting from the next breed. If you have recently bred two animals the current cool-down will not be affected.

Intermittently puts out food for your animals to eat. (You still have to pay for the food - it is not free)

As you upgrade the Cuckoo House you will decrease the cool-down from 5 minutes down to 3 minutes as well as upgrading which kind of feed it puts out, starting with carrots (Provides 5 Fullness) at level 1 and ending with Acorns (Provides 28 Fullness) at level 5.

A big part of Tiny Pasture's progression is earning money. Whilst you can enjoy the game even without focusing on earning large amounts of money you should try to get to a point where you earn at least a couple thousand coins per minute in order to truly enjoy it, so here's some tips on how to effectively increase your earnings.

A fair warning: If you want to focus on making money, you should not get attached to any one animal because in order to make good money you will need to sell and switch out your animals frequently.

When I first started playing I made the mistake to fall in love with this little cutie named 'First Bud', who has since followed me throughout my entire playtime.





I'm not saying to not get attached to them, just wait until you can afford your first warehouse (6000 coins) so that you can put them away when you want to focus on earning money and don't have space for your lovelies because those cute early-game animals will never make you anywhere close to good money no matter how hard you try (even the rainbow variants are terrible in comparison to later animal types).

• Repeatedly clicking animals (petting them) to have them drop money. When you're still in the stage where you're only working with rabbits, corgis, and cats this will be a significant amount of money and will help you progress a lot faster than you otherwise would.
  
• Do not feed animals more than what they need to be fed. Early game coins are very valuable and buying more carrots than you need is a waste. As long as the animals are above 50% hunger they're doing fine, no need to waste additional money on them.

The newer species make significantly more money than the previous ones, as seen below, and as a result you should sell off your old animals to make room for new ones.

Below is a table showing the Earning Rates (coins/min) of animals purchased from the shop, but in general the Earning rates of different quality animals can be calculated as follows:

• Gray: Base Price
  
• Light Blue: 1,2 * Base Price
  
• Yellow: 1,667 * Base Price
  
• Red: 3,75 * Base Price
  
• Rainbow: 10* Base Price

So how do you unlock better animals? Simple, there are three different type of requirements: total amount of money earned, X amount of Y animal type raised, total amount of poop cleared.

Assuming you have the other animal unlocked the second one is the easiest of the three, followed by the total amount of money raised. I've found that cleaning poop - whilst necessary to keep your animals healthy - does not happen often enough to unlock any animals of interest. In comparison, earning enough money to unlock red pandas and pandas is far faster.


Other than making sure you have the most recent animal there is only one other thing you can do to make more money and that is: make space for more animals. More animals = More earning.

Way 1: If you can afford it. purchase more pasture slots.

Way 2: Unlock breeding to combine two animals together, this will leave an additional space for you to get an additional animal.

Breeding in Tiny Pasture is fairly simple. Once you unlock the 'Mystery Curtain' you can chose two animals to breed together and you end up with a new animal whose Earnings Rate is the sum of its parents.

NOTE! The two animals you chose to breed together will disappear forever! The parents DO NOT stick around so if you have an animal you really don't want to lose, don't breed them.

When breeding you will have the option of the offspring inheriting either parent's name or color. If 'Random Color' is chosen there is a chance to get a color that is different from either of the parents.

The quality of the offspring is determined based on the new Earnings Rate. For example a bunny offspring's quality would be the following:

4 coins/min = Gray
5-6 coins/min = Light Blue
7-14 coins/min = Yellow
15-34 coins/min = Red

Note that the red quality animals's Earnings Rate is capped (Bunnies are capped at 34 coins/min). Breeding together animals whose Earnings Rates add up to more than this cap will result in an offspring whose Earnings Rate is equal to said cap. For example: Breeding two bunnies whose Earnings Rates are 30 coins/min and 15 coins/min will result in an offspring with Earnings Rate 34 coins/min.

Rainbow animals does not have such a cap and can have their Earnings Rates increased indefinitely.

You can not breed non-rainbow and obtain a rainbow quality. Rainbows can only be purchased from the shop. However once you receive a rainbow you can rest easy knowing that breeding a rainbow animal with any other animal - rainbow quality or not rainbow quality - will always result in the offspring being of rainbow quality.

In case you are curious about the cap for red animals, it's the Base Earning Rate of the rainbow equivalent - 6 coins/min, or as follows:

Keep in mind when breeding that you will end up with a juvenile - who will therefor not be producing any money until they've reached adulthood. The growing time of an animal is determined both by the species of animal as well as the quality of said animal.

NOTE! You can NOT get rainbow animals by breeding two non-rainbow animals together. You have to get them through the shop.


As everyone else, I was curious about what the chances of getting the rainbow quality animals might be, so I began tracking how many pulls it would take before I got a rainbow. What I found was that it seems like there's a flat 0.2% chance of pulling a rainbow quality animal, regardless of what species you're going for. Meaning that whether you're going for a rainbow quality panda or a rainbow quality rabbit it's on average going to take you a total of 500 pulls to get one and with a pulling rate of 117 pulls/min this means that, assuming you can afford it, you will on average have to wait for about 4 minutes and 16 seconds before a rainbow animal shows up.

For anyone interested in the specific results I got, here's a table summarizing them. Though keep in mind that since I only did about 10 rainbow animals per each species the results for individual animal types will not be terribly accurate and therefor stray slightly from the expected 0,2%.



Seeing as the chance of getting rainbow quality animals are the same for all species, I'd assume the same to be true for the other qualities as well so I began buy individual rabbits, taking note of what their qualities were. Since this had to be done manually and couldn't be left to do its thing like the rainbow animals I don't have nearly as many samples so the percentages won't be completely accurate, but it should still enough to give you a rough estimation of what the chances of getting the different qualities are like.

Quite a few of the achievements for this game will be unlocked automatically just by playing the game. Here's some tips and tricks for unlocking those that you are less likely to get without trying.

To start off I'd like to recommend you to not start hunting achievements until you have a decent source of income, i.e. at least a couple of maxed out red quality pandas. Many of the achievements rely on being able to spend money and so until you're able to do so your only focus should be on earning more money.



Organic feeding - purchase a decoration which has a description that mentions you can harvest it, wait until it matures, and then click the plant.

Unlock backgrounds - Can be found and purchased at the bottom of the decoration tag.

Encyclopedia Enthusiast (one achievement for each species) - Get animals of all colors. This can be achieved by purchasing single animals. Each species has between 1-5 different color variants. If you're curious about how many variants a specific species has you can check it in the album on the bottom middle. The album also allows you to see which color variants you have already unlocked. Note that an animal only counts as unlocked once it's grown to adulthood, so you will have to be patient wait a little while for the achievement to appear after you've purchased one of each color.

Since there aren't a lot of color variants - and there doesn't seem to be any that are rarer than others - you can simply flip through the different variants by clicking "Buy Once" and then "Buy Again" until you find one you're looking for. Note that doing this will only allow you to keep the animals you "Accept".

Brilliant New Animal! - Breed an animal of the highest quality. The only way to breed a rainbow quality offspring is for one of the parents to be of rainbow quality. You will need to start by getting a rainbow quality animal from the store.

Encyclopedia Collector (one achievement for each species) - Get animals of all colors to rainbow quality. The most optimal way of getting these achievements is to get a single rainbow quality animal per species and then methodically breed them with other non-rainbow quality animals of a color you're missing to have it switch between all the available colors. You do not need to have them all at the same time.

Super Pasture Keeper - If you haven't gotten this one by the time you've gotten all of the other achievements you should just continuously mass-purchase grey quality rabbits (which have the shortest growth time of 1 minute) and sell them as soon as they grow up until you get the achievement.
