These are the basic controls

In Rain World LTTM (Looks to the moon) will be your best friend, eating the neurons gives you an achievement called "Stolen enlightenment" which removes the overseer (Yellow guy that guides you).
Visiting LTTM and hibernating gives you the " A new friend" achievement which does not affect the yellow guy.

Five Pebbles should be visited after meeting LTTM, he then gives you the route to the worm pond.
Visiting Five Pebbles and hibernating gives you "The journey" achievement.

To win the survivor campaign, you keep going down until it's just the void. After a bit a worm that acts like a Vulture King will appear, it will drag you all the way down. After that, keep swimming down until you see light.
And that's how you win the game!
