Introduction

Achievement Breakdown: (5)
Story: (1)
Challenge: (1)
Miscellaneous: (3)

Press Any Button is an arcade-style game reminiscent of the classic Space Invaders. Most of the gameplay is centered around preventing blocks from reaching the ground. The game nudges towards a philosophical storyline in which you communicate with an "AI" via "Yes" and "No" replies to teach it about human emotions and understanding. Also important to note that, there is a heavy implication of self-harm in the game.

The game is very short, lasting less than an hour, and is designed to be played in a single session. Being a short game, it only contains 5 achievements- all of which can be obtained in a single run.
This guide will go through each achievement in the order that you can unlock them.

There are no DLC or missable achievements.
Walkthrough
Achievements: 5/5
Story: 1
Challenge: 1
Miscellaneous: 3

The game begins by explaining that you're participating in an experiment and will soon introduce you to A-Eye, an AI assistant in charge of the session.

A-Eye will give you 2 lives for the playthrough and then ask you if you want an additional one. Make sure you pick "NO" (red) for this question. Don't worry if you lose all your lives during the playthrough, the game will just restart at the level you died on.

A-Eye will continue to give you a quick tutorial on how the core gameplay mechanics work. These mechanics will be expanded upon over time.

Achievement #1:
What are You Trying to Achieve?
Make me dizzy

When A-Eye mentions that F4 will toggle fullscreen mode in the game, spam the key until the achievement pops.

From here, A-Eye introduces a few new mechanics to the game, including the ability to freeze a platform by clicking it twice (turning it red). He also introduces the "Column" block, which has varying heights and breaks in increments. During the "Column" levels, watch out for the pots that fly through the map and be quick to destroy them. Luckily they get destroyed instantly allowing you to juggle your platforms effectively. Only lock your platforms for the longest columns while keeping your others free to counter the falling pots.

    Achievement #2:
    It's Quite an Achievement!
Find something I had no intention to hide

After a few "Column" levels, A-Eye will ask if you've ever played the game "Columns" before. He'll also ask you if what he had done was called an "Easter Egg". For both these questions, make sure you say "YES" (green) to grant yourself the second achievement.

      Achievement #3:
      You Know Your Sport
Juggle a ball 20 times in a row

Immediately following the previous achievement, A-Eye will throw in the "Ball" block. The way to get "rid" of the balls is to place a platform underneath one and let it bounce off the screen. But for this achievement, trap a ball between two platforms and let it bounce 20 times. Position the platforms closer together to get the achievement faster (similar to how the achievement icon looks).

At this point, you just need to beat the rest of the game. A-Eye will increase the difficulty with each level and toss in a few more "block" types for you to deal with. Here are the new block types you will encounter and how to deal with them:
        • Snowman:
Temporarily freezes the platform it's touching, freeing the block upon destruction.

        • Melon:
Permanently freezes the platform it's touching upon destruction. You need to click the platform to free it.
        • Cherry:
Upon destruction, it permanently freezes the platform it touches (it is destroyed instantly). You need to click the platform to free it.

        • Accordion:
You need to let the accordion compress all the way to instantly break it. The best way to do this is to let the accordion fall almost the entire way to the bottom so that it builds up momentum. Right before it would have touched the ground, place a platform and watch it compress all the way.

        • Time Modification:
Two variations of these, one will slow down the time a platform takes to destroy a block and the other will speed up the time. No real strategy here other than sticking with the "speed up" modification for as long as you can, and also using the sped-up platforms to destroy the larger blocks.

        • Weight Scales:
This is a very large block that can hold additional blocks on each half of the scale.

        • Size Modification:
Two variations of these, one will increase the size of your platforms and the other will decrease the size of them. No real strategy here other than sticking with the "increase" modification as long as you can.

        • Magnets:
When one magnet is at the same vertical height as another falling magnet somewhere else in the arena, the two will auto-detect each other and collide together, destroying each other. The strategy with these is to only use the platform on the lowest falling magnet and let the two auto-kill each other when they reach a matching height.

        • Rocket:
These blocks gain momentum extremely quickly, so be sure to target them when they're higher up in the arena. Once they touch your platform, they will be destroyed instantly.

        • TNT:
Upon contacting a platform, they will trigger a 6-second timer (even though it counts down from 3, the timer length is at least double it) at which they will detonate at the end regardless of whether they're touching a platform or not. It's ideal to trigger these TNT blocks immediately upon them spawning into the arena as it lets you juggle your platforms better while dealing with other falling blocks.

        • Dandelion:
Grants you a heart upon touching a platform. These will be very handy since you're doing the two-heart run.

When dealing with the rabbit puzzle, the objective is to get the rabbit inside one of your two cages. Corral the rabbit to one of the corners of the map. From here your goal is to force the rabbit to use its movement turn to enter the cage. In the image above, I just placed the cage down meaning it's the rabbit's movement turn. The only location it can go is into my cage- beating the level.

When A-Eye goes quiet and replies with "..." whenever you die or complete a level, you're nearing the end and are currently encountering the hardest levels the game has to offer. Upon beating them, A-Eye will give you a handful of very easy missions and say farewell.

          Achievement #4:
          You've Been Challenged Enough
Go through all challenges, having 2 lives only

            Achievement #5:
Thank You for Playing With Me
            Complete my game

After A-Eye disappears, the final two achievements will pop!
            Conclusion
            Congratulations on getting 100% achievements!
