I've noticed lack of dedicated Poland map for Humankind, so I've decided to create one :)

It's my first time uploading game map to Steam.


I've tried to stay as close to irl placement of all terrain features, but also had to do some changes due to balance, aesthetics and "creative" placement of resources not present in some areas, but overall things are where (I guess) they should be ^^

Attached images show screenshots of map and legend including start pos, resources and "continents".

Strategic resources are mostly where they are irl, but luxuries are almost entirely spread around due to balance (Poland sadly does not have tea or elephants :D ).

Rivers and forests are almost exactly where they should be (although editor limitations and hex map make it kinda hard at this size of the map).
Game regions are basically Poland administration units, although I needed to merge some of them bc of how small they were (and to not anger editor limit of territories).

Also to have some visual diversity I've spread biomes around irl regional climate zones (however these are completely different than in game, so I also needed to be "creative").


I'm open to feedback and may create alternative versions of the map, currently testing it in vanilla but also may see how it plays with popular mods like VIP, Super Pack and ENC ^^

For now, ideas I have is changing biomes to fit "continents" and including nations around (there is lots of spare space left on the map, but I'd need help with resource and height map from these countries).

Idk how Humankind/Steam guidelines say, but I treat this map as open source and anyone willing can use it as they see fit to create something cool (like someone more skilled than me xd).
