Each animal has five rarity tiers, with Tier 5 being the rainbow tier.

If you breed animals and select a random colour for the result, there is a chance you will obtain one you don't already have.

The encyclopedia will only update once the animals reach adulthood.

The two parent animals will be replaced by their offspring after breeding. So they will no longer exist in your pasture.

Breeding Mechanics
1 star + 1-star = 3-star
1-star + 2-star = 3-star
3-star + 3-star = 4-star
3-star + 4-star = 4-star

EDIT:
The quality of animals is determined by their earning rates rather than a simple star combination. Two 3★ animals won’t always produce a 4★ offspring because the gap between 3★ and 4★ is larger than twice the base earning rate of a 3★. Progressing to a higher star rating requires meeting a specific earning threshold, not just combining animals of the same level.

You cannot breed two 4★ animals to obtain a 5★ . The only way to get a rainbow-tier animal is by rerolling until you obtain one.

Once you've generated enough coins, go to the shop, select the animal you want, and click "Buy continuously". Choose 5-star, then click on "Continue buying". The game will automatically deduct your coins and reroll until it reaches your desired tier.

To unlock the rainbow tier for a specific colour, breed one rainbow animal with a lower-tier animal of any rarity. You can select the fur colour.

To summarise:
- Own at least one rainbow animal of that species.
- Go to the shop and reroll until you get a low-tier animal with the fur colour you need.
- Breed them and choose which parent's colour to inherit.
- Repeat the process until you've unlocked each colour.
