Introduction
The following article details all achievements available in the Online Spirit Island as well as some helpful tips and clarifications of each (listed Alphabetically).

NOTES:
  1. Make sure all Reduced Difficulty Options are turned off before attempting these achievements.
  2. Some of the achievements ( marked with an (*) ) are not active due to 1 unreleased Spirit from Jagged Earth.
  3. A few of the achievements are "Use each of the ### Powers available in [Core | Expansion name]" or "Reach all ### Elemental Thresholds .
    • These are cumulative. You can keep track of which ones you've played (used) and which ones you have held and met the Elemental Thresholds by reviewing the Power Cards tab in the Card Library off the Main Menu. It is also helpful to keep a spreadsheet or document that lists the cards of each expansion so you know when to turn on and off content.
    • When trying to complete each, it might be best to focus on Core (turn off both JE and B&C Content in options when starting a game) then B&C (keep JE Content disabled) and then JE (keep B&C Content disabled)
    • Some minor cards (such as Inflame the Fires of Life) have thresholds, almost all major cards have thresholds. There are currently two Spirits (Heart of the Wildfire / Memory of Ages) that have minor powers (Flash Fires / Share Secrets of Survival) with thresholds.
    • Use Powers and Met Thresholds also apply to each Spirit's Innate Powers. And some Spirits (Lightning & River) have Innate Powers and Thresholds from their Aspects that count towards the Jagged Earth achievements.
    • You don't have to play a card to meet the Elemental Threshold, but you do have to pay its energy cost and select it for play while you have the necessary elements.
    • In meeting thresholds, keep on the look out for the cards Elemental Boon (gain 3 different elements) and Gift of Nature's Connection (either 2 Energy or 2 of any one Element).
    • Be on the look out for cards such as Gift of Power (gain a Minor Power Card) and Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power (Draw 2, Keep 1 Major Power. Keep w/o forgetting a power). UtGoDP is especially useful because it grants one of each Element.
    • I found Lightning to be an especially helpful Spirit in getting this achievement as it is easy to play and gets a card draw every round starting round 3.

Against All Odds
Extreme
Win a game with a difficulty rating of 17 or higher
Requires a lot of skill, a fair amount of luck, and lots of patience. I have written a guide about this specific achievement.
To setup a level 17 difficult game requires:
  • A Thematic Map (+3)
  • A Level 6 Opponent (+10)
  • The Dahan Insurrection Scenario (+4)
  • Branch & Claw and Jagged Earth content turned off (-2 if either is turned on)
  • All other difficulty modifiers such as Unlimited Undo and No Blight Card disabled.
All Hands on Deck
Extreme
Win using 12 Spirits in a series of Second Wave Games
The spirits must be the 8 from the base game and the 4 from B&C and PP1. The 12 unique spirits must be played as a single series - 12 Waves of 1, 6 of 2, 4 of 3, or 3 of 4.
Bittersweet Triumph
Hard
Win a sacrifice victory (win and lose at the same time).
To satisfy this you must both win and lose on the same play. An example of this is to have one blight left on the card and use a power that wipes out the last building (Fear II) or last City (Fear III) while generating the blight that corrupts the Island completely. A more spectacular method is to play Cast Down into the Briny Deep with Threshold.
Canonical Geography
Easy
Win a game on the thematic map.
When setting up a game, click on the Balanced Map button to switch to a "Thematic Map". Choose your favorite spirit and win a game.
Choose your path
Easy
Play without Power Progression using the 4 low-complexity Spirits in the core game.
Play (win?) a game with Lightning; River; Shadows; and Vital. Make sure the "Use Power Progression" option is off on the Spirit card before you start.
Diversify
Medium/Hard
Defeat the Adversary and all Scenarios in Branch & Claw.
Purchase B&C. Then you have to
  • Defeat France
  • Win a Second Wave game
  • Complete the scenarios - each of which have their own difficulties.
    Look for specific guides for each Scenario.
(*) Dream Firmly to Become Real
Hard / INC
Reach all 108 Elemental Thresholds available in Jagged Earth.
Requires JE DLC. Turn off B&C content when starting a game to reduce deck size. As there is a Spirit from JE yet to be released, this achievement cannot be finished at this time.
Elemental Mastery
Medium
Reach all 64 Elemental Thresholds available in the core game.
Best to turn off both JE and B&C content to finish this.
Embrace Metamorphosis
Medium
Use each of the 96 Powers available in B&C and Promo Pack 1.
Requires both B&C and PP1. Best to turn off JE content to finish this. Cast Down Into the Briny Deep costs 9 Energy to play, so if this is one of the last cards you need, best play with a Spirit that generates a lot of energy (Serpent Slumbering for example).
Empires Rejected
Extreme
Defeat all core game Adversaries on Level 6.
The core adversaries - England, Sweden, BP - are extremely challenging at level 6 and can quickly get out of control. A bit of luck and the right explore card order as well as the player being at the top of their game is required to win one of these challenges, let alone 3. There are some guides out there to point you in the right direction.
European Repulsion
Medium
Defeat all core game Adversaries.
The core adversaries - England, Sweden, BP - are beatable on level 0. Play with your favorite Spirit and you'll do fine.
Everything Old is New Again
Medium
Win at least one game with each of the 6 Aspects from Jagged Earth.
JE has 6 new aspects of the core Spirits Lightning (2), River (1), Shadows (2), and Vital (1). After creating the game, but before starting it, right click on the spirit when its in its land (it could be done before dragging the Spirit to the land) and hit the Aspect button until you get one you haven't won with yet. Win 6 games and you get the achievement.
Expanding Horizons
Medium
Use each of the 25 Innate and Unique Powers available in Horizons of Spirit Island.
Buy HoSI, Play each of the 5 new Spirits and use each of their Minor power cards (4 each) and innate ability.
Expertise
Medium / Hard
Win a game with a difficulty level of 8 or higher.
I suppose one could fiddle with the adversary and level and scenario until the right mix triggered the achievement, but why not kill two birds with one stone? It seems more efficient to get this by trying for Against All Odds.
Fear Unending
Medium
Win a game by reaching Terror Level Victory!
Choose a Spirit strong in fear generation such as Bringer of Dreams and Nightmares. Focus on minors and majors that add fear.
(*) Harness Chaos and Danger
Medium / INC
Win at least one game with each of the 10 Spirits from Jagged Earth.
There is a Spirit yet to be published so this achievement cannot be completed at this
time.
Hazardous Territory
Hard
Place 2 of each kind of Spirit Token in a single land.
Spirit Tokens are
  • Badlands (JE) (adds +1 damage per token each time an action damages invaders)
  • Beasts ( B&C) (When activated, generate 1 damage | fear per token to any invader or can move to adjacent)
  • (*) Disease (B&C) ( Prevents build. Token is destroyed).
  • (*) Strife (B&C) (During Ravage, a unit with at least one strife does 0 damage that turn and removes one strife token).
  • (*) Wilds (B&C) (Prevents exploration. Token is destroyed).
  • Presence - this achievement requires the land have 2 spirit presence (not necessarily from the same spirit).
Some notes:
  • (*) Because Disease, Strife and Wilds are removed based on game action (Build / Ravage / Explore) a new one will need to be added while building up.
  • Because Strife is one of the required tokens, the selected land must contain an Invader - preferably a city.
  • Be on the lookout for the Minor Power Dire Metamorphosis. This adds one of each token (as well as a blight). Best to have blight cleanup powers as well.
  • Be on the lookout for cards that add one or more tokens, as well as cards that duplicate tokens.
  • You can also play Spirits, such as Stone or Revenge that add or prevent removal of tokens as part of their powers.

Some notes:
  • Go to Options
  • Enable Animations
  • Set Animations Speed to the Slowest setting
  • Display the Guide
  • Exit the game, restart and follow the steps. Force quit the game after each step.
  • Between the Quick Play and Resume Game options, you must wait until the Quick Play step has created the board and started to place the Spirit sites before force quitting so that the next time you start up you have a Resume Game option.

Use each of the 123 Powers available in Jagged Earth.
There is a Spirit yet to be implemented so this achievement cannot be completed at this time.
Over the Rainbow
Medium
Reach all 20 Innate Elemental Thresholds available in Horizons of Spirit Island.
Requires Horizons of Spirit Island DLC. Each of the 5 Spirits have 4 Elemental Thresholds.
Poisons and Perils
Medium
Place Badlands and/or Disease in every land (min 3 of each).
Requires JE and B&C. The wording is a little confusing. What this means is that of the 8 lands, every one of them must have at least one Badlands or Disease token. At least 3 lands must have a Disease, and at least 3 lands must have a Badlands. This could be 3/5, 4/4 or 5/3. Disease tokens go away after a build has been prevented, so having multiple copies on a single land (or placing them in cleared out areas) is ideal. Look for cards that add the tokens as well as Spirits that prevent Disease removal (Vengeance as a Burning Plague) or add Badlands (Stone's Unyielding Defiance) as part of their native powers / card sets.
Powers Awakened
Medium
Use each of the 102 Powers available in the core game.
Turn off B&C and JE Content to reduce the deck size.
Puissance
Medium
Win a game with a difficulty rating of 6 or higher.
A few ways of the many ways to achieve this:
  • A scenario with a +3 difficulty or higher on a Thematic Map
  • Dahan Insurrection against any level 1 adversary
  • Any adversary at level 3
  • Get this at the same time you achieve Against All Odds.
Red in Tooth and Claw
Easy
Win at least one game with each Spirit from Branch & Claw and Promo Pack 1.
Like the description says.
Save Your Island
Easy
Win a game.
Should be the first or second achievement earned.
Swift Response
Medium
Win a game by clearing the island of Invaders at Terror Level I.
Just be careful of not playing too many fear generating cards. Each destroyed city generates 2 fear, each town 1. You have 12 fear to play with before Terror Level II.

Alternatively, you could win the Rituals of Terror Scenario without performing any RoT.
The First Spirits Rise
Easy
Win in at least one game with each core game Spirit.
Some Spirits are more difficult to win with Solo (Ocean for instance). Might require a few 2 Spirit games - such as Ocean + River or Ocean + Lightning.
The Real Deal
Easy
Win a game with a Blight card and Adversary (other reduced difficulty options permitted).
Once you are comfortable with a Spirit, beating a Level 0 Adversary (such as BP) without the "No Blight Card" safety net shouldn't pose too much of a challenge.
The Spice of Life
Medium
Prevail in all core game Scenarios.
Once you are comfortable with a Spirit, beating the core Scenarios shouldn't pose too much of a challenge.
The Spirits Awaken
Easy
Study under Rae's guidance and complete the tutorial.
Play the tutorial.
Unanticipated Ways
Easy
Experience all of the 22 Events in Branch & Claw.
Requires B&C. Turn on B&C Content and the Events option while playing until you hit all events. It will eventually pop and then you can determine if you want to keep them in the game or never see another event. Events have positive and negative effects, so it increases the variability of the game.
Unforeseen Circumstances
Easy
Experience all of the 30 Events in Jagged Earth.
Requires JE. Turn on JE Content and the Events option while playing until you hit all events. It will eventually pop and then you can determine if you want to keep them in the game or never see another event. Events have positive and negative effects, so it increases the variability of the game. It is highly suggested that if both Unanticipated Ways and Unforeseen Circumstances are desired, that they be gone after independently, Getting any specific 1 of 22 or 1 of 30 Event to trigger is almost twice as likely in a +22/+30 card deck than a +52 card deck.
Unlock the Gates
Hard/Extreme
Reach all 52 Elemental Thresholds available in Branch & Claw and Promo Pack 1.
Turn off JE Content to reduce deck size. The real sticking point of this particular Achievement is the Elemental Threshold of the Major Power Cast Down Into the Briny Deep. First you have to find the card. Then you have to afford the 9 Energy. Then you have to have an additional 1 Sun, 1 Moon, 3 Water, and 3 Mountain. I achieved this with Serpent Slumbering. It gives a free Water, Moon and 2x Any Element as well as 12 per term at highest level. Its innate Serpent Wakes at Threshold 3 also grants an additional Major Power without the need to forget a current card in your hand.
The namesake of the achievement Unlock the Gates of Deepest Power is extremely helpful in cycling through the Major Power deck 2 at a time and giving one of every element. Look out for Gift of Nature's Connection and / or Elemental Boon as well.
Vigor
Medium
Win a game with a difficulty rating of 4 or higher.
Complete the Scenario Dahan Insurrection or any Adversary at Level 2.

Note on "all use cards" achievements. It resets if you have to reinstall the system, so my bet is that the file keeping notes on it is on local and it can be edited (ergo cheated around).
