Spread plague to other settlements through one of your agents

You need to train an agent in a settlement where there is a plague (or send him to this settlement) and then he will be infected with the plague. Then send him to a settlement that does not belong to you, after which you will receive the achievement.

This achievement may seem challenging at first, but it is actually quite easy to complete on lower difficulty levels. Horse archers are the most effective unit for this task, as they can eliminate large numbers of enemy troops while avoiding casualties.

📌Additionally, you can take advantage of a known game exploit by attacking the besieging forces before they construct siege equipment. Using horse archers, you can inflict significant losses on the enemy, retreat back into the castle without taking damage, and end the battle in a draw.

📌 It is better to try to get this achievement with Veni, Vidi, Vici

Reach the Marius Event

📌 To trigger the Marian Reforms, a Roman faction must control a settlement on the Italian mainland (including Patavium, Mediolanium, and Segesta) or Sicily and construct a tier 5 government building there.

Patavium, with its high farming level and population growth, is ideal, as are Sicilian settlements with grain as a trade resource, which boosts population growth locally and in trade-linked settlements.

You can speed up growth by using the enslave mechanic—enslaved populations are distributed only to settlements with a governor. Placing a governor in a target settlement before enslaving an enemy city directs the population there.

Another method is relocating population by recruiting peasants, moving them to another province, and disbanding them, which adds their numbers to the local population.

⚠️ There is a bug in the game when you cannot get these achievements during the company, and in this case you will need to use these types of troops in Historical Battles or in Custom Battle.

Play a Night Battle for the first time

You can initiate a night battle if you attack another army while having a general in your own forces. This will unlock the option for a night engagement, where your general may receive a command skill boost as a result of the battle. Night battles can provide strategic advantages, such as reducing enemy reinforcements and creating more favorable combat conditions.

⚠️ In the game, a bug may occur where you won't receive the achievement if you initiate the battle yourself. To bypass this, you need to ensure that an enemy army, led by a general, attacks you and initiates a night battle.
Conditions that increase the likelihood of the enemy general starting a night battle:
◦ Their army has a significant advantage over yours.
◦ Your army does not have a general.


Win a Night Battle without using Auto-resolve

Draw in a battle

📌 This achievement is easiest to obtain during a castle defense. You need to select one of your units and attack the enemy forces before they complete their siege equipment. This will allow you to end the battle in a draw without engaging in full combat, after which the siege will continue.

Have three or more foreign merchants in a region you control

The achievement is easy and you will most likely get it in the middle of the game. However, in order to get it for sure, it is better to play for a faction that borders many other factions and try to enter into trade relations with them.

Go bankrupt

Control every resource in one region


Have a merchant from a large town trade purple dye

Use merchants to control every node on the map of one resource type

📌 This achievement may seem daunting at first: "Control all sources of a specific tradable good with merchants." Securing common resources like gold, iron, wine, or olive oil can be highly competitive and difficult, as they are widely distributed and often contested. However, focusing on rarer resources makes this task far easier.

📌 One of the best options is amber, which can be found in the Germanic territories in the northern part of the map. With only two sources available, all it takes is placing a merchant on each one to complete the requirement. This method is both simple and efficient, eliminating the need for large-scale economic dominance. While other rare resources may also work, identifying them after unlocking the achievement can be challenging, making amber one of the most reliable choices.

⚠️Sometimes it happens that the achievement does not unlock, so you just need to move the merchants nearby and then return them to the desired resource.

Have merchants on every resource type on the map

⚠️This is the only achievement that requires reverting to an older version of the game (before 2.0.2), as it seems to no longer unlock with the latest patch.
YOU NEED AT LEAST 45GB OF FREE SPACE.

Declared Richest faction

📌To become the richest faction and unlock the "Make it Rain" achievement, the best strategy is to focus on maximizing trade and minimizing military expenses. Start by choosing a faction like Egypt, Carthage, or the Seleucid Empire, which have access to rich trade resources and high-revenue settlements. Build ports, roads, and markets in coastal cities to boost sea trade income.

📌Expand strategically, targeting wealthy settlements such as Carthage, Alexandria, or Antioch, while avoiding costly wars that disrupt trade. Keep your military small and efficient, disbanding unnecessary troops to lower upkeep. Additionally, use the enslave mechanic when conquering cities to rapidly increase population and tax revenue in your core settlements.
With careful economic management, you’ll quickly become the richest faction.

📌 Factions that, in my opinion, have rather unique types of troops and can get this achievement more easily than others:
The Romans in the base game are one of the strongest factions, especially after the Marian Reforms. While their cavalry is never the best, their infantry—when properly led—can overpower even the elite troops of other factions. Their combination of heavy infantry and superior organization makes them a dominant force on the battlefield.

The Scythians are masters of mobility, fielding some of the strongest Horse Archers in the game. Their highly mobile forces can outmaneuver and wear down enemies at range, making them especially effective against Macedonian and Greek phalanxes in open-field battles. However, their infantry is significantly weaker, limiting their effectiveness in prolonged engagements and sieges.

The Greeks, on the other hand, rely heavily on their formidable infantry. Units like Spartans and Greek Armored Hoplites can hold their ground against even the best Roman legions in direct combat. However, their cavalry is weak, useful mainly for chasing down retreating foes or dealing with skirmishers. This lack of mobility is a major strategic disadvantage.

The Macedonians offer a more balanced approach, with strong infantry and excellent cavalry. Their Companion Cavalry is among the best in the game, making them dangerous in open-field battles. However, as with all factions reliant on phalanx formations, their infantry is highly vulnerable to flanking, which can quickly turn a battle against them.

The Seleucids have slightly weaker pikemen compared to the Macedonians but make up for it with superior cavalry, including elephants and cataphracts, which dominate in the late game. Their Silver Shield Legionaries provide an additional versatile infantry option. However, the Seleucids face a major challenge—they are surrounded by enemies, and their best units only become available in the mid to late game, making early survival difficult.

Carthage is another well-rounded faction, boasting Sacred Band infantry and cavalry, fast light troops, and powerful war elephants. They can be a serious threat when played well. However, their biggest drawback is the lack of dedicated archer units, which limits their ability to engage enemies at long range, forcing them to rely more on skirmishers and cavalry-based tactics.

In Barbarian invasion, fix the debased currency of the late Roman Empire

The Roman currency was debased, meaning coins were made with less valuable metals, like copper, instead of gold or silver. The player has to reverse this by acquiring more gold and silver.

✔️ Construct Mines
Building mines, especially gold mines, in your settlements increases income and symbolizes restoring the empire's wealth. Players have reported that focusing on constructing mines led to unlocking the achievement.

✔️ Manage the Economy

📌 To earn this achievement, you must develop each of the three religions and establish each as the majority religion in your settlements. To achieve this, you need to destroy temples of other factions and build the ones that align with your chosen religion. Keep in mind that some factions have two religions—focus on developing only one of them.
51+% of people should practice your religion


💬 To speed up the process and ensure the population adopts your religion more quickly, consider the following strategies:
✔️ Exterminate settlements with an incompatible religion. This will reduce resistance and allow you to construct your own temple, making your religion dominant.
✔️ Occupy settlements that already follow your desired religion to expand its influence.
✔️ Destroy enemy temples and replace them with your own religious buildings.
✔️ Conquer as many settlements as possible, as religious dominance is tied to territorial expansion.
✔️ Increase the population of your settlements, as a larger population with your religion ensures greater control.

💬 Follow these steps to achieve the desired outcome:
✔️ Deploy Alexander’s Army to Babylon Move Alexander’s army into Babylon and station it there.
✔️ Wait for the Plague Plague outbreaks are random events in the game. Babylon has a higher chance of contracting the plague, particularly if its population exceeds 30,000. Be patient, as the plague may take several turns to appear.
✔️ Use Spies if Needed If the plague doesn't naturally occur, you can use spies to introduce it. Move a spy into Babylon, which may trigger the plague event.
✔️ Identifying the Plague Once the plague appears in Babylon, a skull icon will be visible above the city, indicating its presence.
✔️ Maintain the Plague To ensure the plague remains active, you’ll need to utilize nearby cities like Suza, Hatra, and others. Move an infected army to each city to keep at least two of the three cities plagued. This will reset the plague status in Babylon if it disappears, ensuring the plague will return to the city and continue spreading.
It took me about 10 turns to achieve this, but the exact time may vary based on luck.

💬 To change the language to English in the Steam version of Total War: Rome Remastered, follow these steps:
🗸 Open Steam and go to your Library.
🗸 Right-click on Total War: Rome Remastered in your game list.
🗸 Select Properties.
🗸 Go to the Languages tab.
🗸 From the dropdown menu, select English.
🗸 Steam will automatically download the necessary files for the language change.

After that, the game should launch in English the next time you play it.

To obtain the seven achievements in the Alexander Campaign of Total War: Rome Remastered, you must complete the campaign using the only available faction, Macedon, and capture all settlements.
📌 To unlock all achievements, you must also complete the campaign on the Very Hard difficulty setting.

Achieve victory in the Alexander campaign

Achieve victory in the Alexander campaign on very hard mode

​📜To effectively navigate the Alexander Campaign in Total War: Rome Remastered on the highest difficulty setting as Macedon, consider the following strategies:​
✔️ With your starting money don't build anything.
✔️ Use all starting money solely to queue up hoplites & extra ships in Pella and and Sparta. (Spend all of your money on this) I queued 5 ships and the rest was hoplites.
✔️ Send Alexander's army to take Byzantium.
✔️ Send Garrison from Pella & Sparta to Take Illyrian settlement to the North West. (A general can be adopted on turn 2 or 3 to lead the army. He'll spawn in Pella and can reach them even if they are besieging that settlement)
✔️ Don't fight for Anatolia yet. Send Parmenion's army via the fleet to take the settlement to the North East.
After you do all that you should have about 2-3 stacks to invade Anatolia with.
✔️ If you do all that it will secure that side of the map for the rest of the campaign. You'll be broke, but those units you queued will still be built even if you're bankrupt. The most important thing this does is prevent you from being annihilated by sheer numbers in Anatolia. The Persian's love to chill out in Anatolia for the first couple of turns and they can whittle you down via sheer attrition. (They have about 7+ stacks in the area at the start.) However, if you take your time before invading Anatolia the Persian forces spread out across their empire which makes it easier to take Anatolia.

✔️ Auto resolve on VH can be brutal, but the basic hoplite unit can beat anything the Persians throw at you minus a General's bodyguard. If you see one coming, don't be afraid to support them with Alexander or another General's Bodyguard. Exterminate every settlement for the cash and so public order is easy to manage. Basically, if you can get to the point where you can retrain units in Anatolia you've already won the campaign. Just keep spamming hoplites after you have foothold and you're golden. They a super cost efficient and any cavalry you need is covered by Alexander. Phalangites are better units, but they take two turns to build so I don't bother with them. If I had extra cash I supplemented my armies with mercenaries. (Cavalry in particular) The good thing about the hoplites is they can be retrained in most settlements on the map. So you can easily blitz, repair settlements, and retrain in your army all in a turn or two. I hope this helps you.

📌To unlock these achievements, you need to win historical battles on the VERY HARD difficulty level.
📌Additionally, this may just be my opinion, but I find that the AI in this version is significantly better than in the original Total War—even after adjusting the settings to match the "original game" experience. However, it's crucial to keep the settings on "Classic" rather than "Remastered" to maintain the intended gameplay balance.
⚠️There is also a bug in the game that causes the game to freeze or crash during a historical battle, in which case you need to switch to other battle settings.
