I tried the regedit fix first and it didn't work, however I still followed the instructions on the guide and entered the CD key in there.

All I did was turn of the steam overlay on the game and it worked a treat for me.
I think with the game being older it struggles to run on newer windows.

I use Win 11 on a RTX3050
