This mod changes button prompts in the game to be the same as the Playstation 3 version of Valkyria Chronicles, which looks more stylized to fit the art style for the game, and makes more sense for people playing with Playstation controllers.

The mod can be used in two ways: by default it'll show O for "confirm" and X for "cancel" which is the default for Valkyria Chronicles on Asian PS3s. Alternatively, you can make the game show X as being "confirm" and O as being "cancel", which is how European and US PS3s would show button prompts in the game.

The mod relies on a tool that only runs in Windows, but thanks to Nazdorovye we've got a Linux version as well. Note that you'll still need the files from the download above. Linux binary and source code: https://www.fluffyquack.com/tools/by-nazdorovye/VCPS3Buttons-linux.zip

i installed both the exe and used the 2 optional files and it seems to work for the main menu but in the chapter menu x does not work and behaves the same as square which prevents me from actually entering levels / gameplay. any idea what to do about that?

Thanks for making this. I use a Dualshock 4 for all my Steam gaming so I appreciate it when games have these prompts either built in or when modders take the time to do it themselves.

pretty neato, but is there a way to make it only replace the x360 buttons but leave the keyboard stuff intact?

Worked perfectly, Had to swap my controllers Square and triangle round to match them up but damn this makes it so much easier to play

i installed the mod it works during "fighting" scenes but the menus are still with xbox buttons welp?
