Helldivers 2 is probably the best online hoard shooter on the market. It's got cinematic visuals, immersive environments/story-telling, and very detailed armor penetration physics (which they refuse to elaborate on). For 100% achievements, you're able to get the majority of them by playing the game naturally. There are a handful of "challenge" achievements that I recommend doing with a coordinated group and a couple of grindy achievements related to ship upgrades. But all in all, it's a very enjoyable road to 100%.

Get out there and spread some managed democracy!

All the following achievements are either obtained while you're on your Super Destroyer or are directly connected to Super Destroyer progression paths.

Achievement #1:

Extract with at least 15 common samples.

    Achievement #2:
    Samples are a diver's best friend
    Extract at least 15 rare samples from a mission as a team.

      I recommend playing on at least Hard difficulty to be able to find enough of both types of samples. Be sure to explore the map's Points of Interest (POI's) as you progress through the mission. While walking around, you will discover question marks on the map. As you get closer, they turn into "diamond" icons signifying that there are samples that can be collected in the immediate area. Once the area is fully looted, the icon into a radar-ping style icon.

      Remember that you don't need to extract with 15 rare samples single-handedly. Your team's collection will also count.

            Achievement #3:
            Ship it!
            Upgrade all ship modules at least 1 level.

              When returning from a mission, immediately turn to your left. You'll notice a row of computer monitors that you can interact with. This is where you can purchase new stratagems and also ship upgrades. Ship upgrades are permanent passive boosts applied to your character and act as one of the primary progression paths in the game. Ship upgrades are purchased with some combination of Common, Rare, Super samples, and requisition slips.

              To unlock this achievement you'll need to purchase the first upgrade down each ship module "tree". It'll cost you 420 Common and 10 Rare samples. You'll need to purchase the following upgrades from each "tree" (take a look at this link for the full list of upgrades[helldivers.wiki.gg]):

              Achievement #4:
              Fully operational
              Reach max level on one ship module.

                WARNING:
                The longer you wait to get this achievement the harder it will be as Arrowhead will release more module upgrades to purchase.

                This is probably going to be the last achievement you get. The grind to fully maxing out a ship module is a little painful, but luckily you can focus on the other achievements while trying to go for this one. The cheapest ship module to fully upgrade is the Patriotic Administration Center, costing you 570 Common samples, 450 Rare samples, 40 Super samples, and 50k requisition slips. This price will change over time with new updates introducing ship module upgrades.

                Super samples will first start spawning in difficulty 6 missions and are always around this very tall and veiny rock found in all maps. Press "Tab" and take a look at the top right of your screen to see how many Super samples are in the current mission. The higher the difficulty, the more samples you can get.








                Achievement #5:
                Strapping young lad
                Customize your Helldiver with new cape, armor, and helmet.

                  Using the default warbond "Helldivers Mobilize" (open via default hotkey "R"), the earliest set of armor/helmet/cape you can get is on the first page for a total cost of 7 medals. After buying the equipment, you can equip it at the character customization terminal found halfway to the front of the ship, or equip it when you're in the ready-up screen. While in the ready-up screen, use the "R" key to toggle to see your armor and then double-click an item to equip a new set of armor, helmet, or cape.

                  Achievement #6:
                  Bug Stomper
                  Play 1 Bug Mission.

                    When in your Super Destroyer and selecting a mission, navigate to the map highlighted in yellow and select any planet/mission/difficulty to fight against the bugs. Upon completing the mission, this achievement will pop.

                    Achievement #7:
                    Eat This!
                    Kill a bug warrior with a shotgun within 1 meter.


                      Warriors hold a grey carapace with two large mantis-type claws. They are approximately half the height of an average helldiver and are one of the weakest Terminids in the faction. Walk up close to the creature and aim for the head with the shotgun to quickly kill it.


                      To unlock your first shotgun, you need to buy it from the free warbond "Helldivers Mobilize". Press "R" when in your Super Destroyer to open the warbond page and on the first page of "Helldivers Mobilize", you can see the Punisher on sale for 4 medals. You get medals for completing missions, and you get more medals depending on the difficulty of the mission. To maximize your earnings, you should always try to play on the hardest difficulty you are comfortable with without overextending yourself.

                      Achievement #8:
                      Kill it with fire!
                      Kill 100 enemies using fire damage during the same mission.

                        NOTE:
                        This achievement can be obtained against any faction but I find it easiest to be done against the Bugs.

                        Before launching into a game, ensure you have a weapon that can deal fire damage. For new players, I recommend unlocking the flamethrower from your Super Destroyers "Ship Management" terminal (unlocked at level 10 for 6k requisition slips).

                        I recommend launching a private game and selecting difficulty 4 as it spawns enemies at a decent rate allowing you to cleave through them with the flame thrower. Remember that the flame thrower can be used on the ground to temporarily create "area denial" sections to better control the flow of enemies. Upon killing 100 enemies with a fire-damage weapon, the achievement will pop.

                        Achievement #9:
                        Stalking is illegal
                        Complete a Stalker Hive tactical objective.


                          Stalkers appear as large albino Terminids that can temporarily turn translucent and are extremely fast. Due to this ability and unless you're keeping a close eye out for them, you'll probably get to know of their existence on the map when they first attack you (and often kill you). They have relentless attacks similar to the Hunters so it's important to keep your distance when engaging these creatures.

                          Stalker Hives have a chance at spawning into missions of difficulty 4 and onwards. Upon loading into the world, you can open your map to take a quick look around. Ideally, you should spot something along the lines of a darkened circle surrounded by rocks and a single entry. Keep in mind that there are a few variations of stalker nests with recent updates and I find it easier just to play in higher-difficulty maps (difficulty 7) and keep an eye out for the stalkers themselves. From there, you can trace them back to their nest.

                          Once a Stalker is spotted on a map, start walking in the general direction from where the creature came from. You'll probably encounter another pack of them before eventually discovering the Stalker Hive. Chuck some grenades into the bug holes and you'll be awarded with this achievement.

                          Achievement #10:
                          Caught them by Supplies!
                          Kill a Charger with a resupply pod.


                            Chargers are heavily armored Terminids that, upon spotting you, will attempt to sprint towards and ram you with their bodies. Their entire body except for their butts are armored and require at least medium armor-penetrating weapons to start stripping away the armor (only effective against the legs). If all you're up against is a Charger, it's quite easy to dodge their attacks by side-stepping their charge at the last moment.

                            This achievement is a little finicky as you need to land a resupply stratagem-ball onto/very close to a Charger and prevent the Charger from moving around too much. The easiest way to do this is with the stun grenades obtained in the "Cutting Edge" warbond (25 medals + 1k Super Credits to unlock the warbond) but there are a few more chaotic ways of getting around this as I'll mention below.

                            The earliest you can spot a Charger is difficulty 3 maps. Keep an eye out for the "Eliminate Chargers" mission. Alternatively, you can launch difficulty 4+ missions for Chargers to spawn in naturally, but they will be moving around, making it harder to complete this achievement.

                            If launching the "Eliminate Chargers" mission, upon spotting the Charger on the map, it should ideally be stationary. Try going prone (default key is "Z") and crawling close enough to the Terminid where you can land a resupply stratagem-ball right under its body. Ideally, this won't trigger the Charger, but if it does, try to get on top of a rock to where the Charger can't reach you and re-attempt the same plan of landing the resupply stratagem-ball onto the Charger and await its death.

                            Achievement #11:
                            The taller they are…
                            Defeat a Bile Titan.


                              Bile Titans appear as towering Terminids with 4 massive and heavily armored legs. Their entire back has armor comparable to the Chargers, but their underside is exposed allowing you to shower it with bullets and other small arms fire. Titans have medium-ranged acid vomit attacks and if you get too close, they will try to stomp you to death. Keep your distance when engaging these creatures.

                              Bile Titans can first be encountered in difficulty 4 "Eliminate Bile Titans" missions. Playing in higher difficulties will let them spawn naturally in the world. They are one of the toughest Terminid enemies to kill for new Helldivers. The fastest and easiest way to kill a titan is by landing a headshot with a recoilless rifle. One rocket is enough to knock out the Titan, but there are of course many stratagems you can use instead (500kg bomb, orbitals, etc).

                              Achievement #12:
                              Bot Scrapper
                              Play 1 Bot Mission.

                                When in your Super Destroyer and selecting a mission, navigate to the sectors highlighted in red and select any planet/mission/difficulty to fight against the bots. Upon completing the mission, this achievement will pop.

                                Achievement #13:
                                Hot Potato!
                                Throw back a live grenade.

                                  Bots will occasionally throw grenades at the player during missions. The grenades contain a bright red blinking light and if you walk up to it, you can press "E" to kick/throw the grenade in the direction you're looking at. Upon doing so, this achievement will pop.

                                  Achievement #14:
                                  Nothing is bigger than Freedom
                                  Defeat a Hulk.

                                    Hulks are the largest bipedal automaton in the game, possessing heavy armor and a random combination of saws, flamethrowers, heavy guns, and missile launcher weaponry. They have a large bright-orange weak spot on their back, which upon destruction, will severely weaken or kill the bot. In addition, their small singular eyeball can be targeted with high armor-piercing weaponry. Alternatively, a single recoilless rifle shot is enough to kill the bot from anywhere you shoot it.


                                    Hulks first appear in difficulty 3 "Eliminate Automaton Hulks" missions. Selecting higher-difficulty missions will result in Hulks randomly spawning on the map. I recommend using a recoilless rifle to take out the hulks as it only takes a single shot anywhere on the body to knock one out. Alternatively, you can use railguns or eagle/orbitals to take one out.

                                    Achievement #15:
                                    Let's call it a draw
                                    Shoot off both arms on a Hulk and then extract while it's alive.

                                      I recommend doing this mission with a railgun or handheld autocannon on difficulty 5/6. Quickly finish the mission objectives and before heading to extraction, locate a wandering Hulk. Using the railgun/autocannon, target the Hulk's shoulders/arms to destroy its weapons so that all it can do is walk up to you an try to stomp you to death. Be careful not to damage the hulk in other ways or it could end up dying. After this is done, quickly head to extraction and leave.

                                      Achievement #16:
                                      Extractamundo!
                                      Extract with a full team on a Hard difficulty or more mission.

                                        This is a rather easy achievement but you'll need to ensure your team makes it out safely. Launch into any difficulty 5 mission and after completing the objectives, extract with all team members on board the pelican. This is one of the easiest "Challenge" achievements to grab.

                                        Achievement #17:
                                        Hell Dive
                                        Complete an Extreme difficulty mission or higher without anyone dying.

                                          Achievement #18:
                                          Hold my primary, I'm going in!
                                          Complete a full Hard difficulty mission or higher without anyone firing their primary or support weapon.

                                            Both these achievements can be easily obtained in a difficulty 6 "Evacuate High-Value Assets" mission, which can be found on any of the faction's planets. I recommend doing this specifically against the bugs since the stratagems I recommend below are highly effective against them. The mission's goal is to hold off against large waves of enemies in a small facility while a certain number of rockets are launched.

                                            I highly recommend doing this with a coordinated group of helldivers (as opposed to solo), as there will be a significant number of enemies spawning and your stratagems alone won't be enough to cull the hoard. Ideally, everyone should spawn into the world with some combination of the following stratagems:
                                            • Machine-Gun Turret
                                            • Gattling Turret
                                            • Rocket Turret
                                            • Auto-Cannon Turret
                                            • Incendiary Mines
                                            • Anti-Tank emplacement
                                            • HMG emplacement

                                            When you first load into the map, immediately close the x2 entry gates into the facility and start summoning all your turrets along the outside of the facility walls. Of course, if you bring emplacements, spawn them on the top of the walls in such a way that you have good shots down towards the enemies.

                                            Keep in mind that (assuming you're against the bugs) there will be Titans, Chargers, and other heavily armored Terminids spawning in. At least one person should keep a watchful eye and be ready to kill those creatures as soon as they spawn. That's what the Anti-Tank emplacement is for but you can also use barrage/eagle stratagems (just avoid using support weapons).

                                            The entire goal of the turret army is to make sure you don't need to spend a single bullet killing enemies. Keep spawning in more turrets as your cooldown timer resets. Upon extracting, these two achievements will pop.

                                            Achievement #19:
                                            Gone in 360 seconds!
                                            Complete a full Extreme difficulty Blitz mission and extract in under 6 minutes.

                                              NOTE:
                                              Not all "Red Zones" (factories/bug-holes etc) need to be completed in order to satisfy the "blitz" mission objectives. You can generally get away with leaving a good chunk of the map unexplored.

                                              I recommend doing a difficulty 6 Blitz mission against the Bots. Load into the map with a recoiless rifle so that you can one-shot Bot factories from a great distance. I recommend doing this either alone or with friends as doing this with randoms will probably result in them wanting to search for samples after clearing out the main objectives.

                                              If doing this with a team of 4 friends, split into 2 teams of 2 helldivers each and split up upon loading into the map. Navigate through each red-zone and clear out as many factories as you can, as fast as you can. Once the objective requirements are met, immediately head to extract and call it in.

                                              Achievement #20:
                                              The Real Deal
                                              Complete Basic Training.

                                                This should be the first achievement you snag after completing the tutorial. If you missed it, you can press "ESC" and use the "Play Tutorial" button to redo it.

                                                Achievement #21:
                                                The power of Democracy
                                                Kill 25 enemies with one stratagem.

                                                  Achievement #22:
                                                  The long arm of Justice
                                                  Kill a target at a distance of over 100m.

                                                    Achievement #23:
                                                    Get Some!
                                                    Fire at least 150 rounds in one burst, killing at least 10 enemies.

                                                      Achievement #24:
                                                      Spread Managed Democracy
                                                      Kill 150 enemies during the same mission.

                                                        NOTE:
                                                        You don't need to successfully complete the mission to get these achievements. If things aren't working out in your favor, use the "Return to Ship" button in your "ESC" menu.

                                                        These achievements are easiest to obtain via the Gatling turret and Stalwart support weapon stratagems. I recommend playing on a Difficulty 7 mission. Upon spawning in, immediately summon the Stalwart and try to get the Terminids to call for reinforcements. You'll know they called for reinforcements when one of the bugs looks to the sky and starts releasing orange spores into the air. As soon as you see this sign, summon your turret a little ways away from where the hoard of bugs is going to spawn from. You don't want the turret to be too close to the spawn point as it may get destroyed by the mass of bugs that emerge. After throwing the turret's stratagem-ball, run as far away as you can (100 meters) from the turret.

                                                        Reinforcements in difficulty 7 maps are substantial and the turret should be able to mow down at least 25 enemies during its lifetime granting you "The Power of Democracy" achievement. In addition, if you've made it 100m away from it while this is happening, you'll also grab "The long arm of Justice" achievement. But don't worry if you didn't get it, just get yourself into a situation where you can chuck the turrets stratagem-ball far away from yourself and start running in the opposite direction. Bug nests are ideal candidates for this.

                                                        Once you've got "The Power of Democracy" achievement, you have free reign to start shooting as many bugs as you can. Find a decent-sized pack of lightly armored enemies and use the Stalwart to mow them down. Continue firing after you've got the 10 kills until you're continuously fired at least 150 bullets. This should grant you the "Get Some!" achievement. If you do this mission solo, you'll easily end up with 300+ kills and the "Spread Managed Democracy" achievement.

                                                        Achievement #25:
                                                        For the greater good!
                                                        Kill 5,000 enemies.

                                                          This should come naturally from playing the game, but if you want to speed it up, I recommend either following the same steps as in the achievement description above or fighting the Squids and Voteless. The Squid (purple) maps spawn absurd numbers of Voteless (zombies), so it's very easy to grind this achievement out.

                                                          Achievement #26:
                                                          Patriot
                                                          Play at least 50 missions.

                                                            Achievement #27:
                                                            Doing your part
                                                            Complete at least 100 missions.

                                                              Achievement #28:
                                                              They don't call it Tacticool for nothin'
                                                              Complete 10 tactical objectives.

                                                                These are self-explanatory and are naturally obtained while playing the game. Do your best to complete every mission you start. It doesn't necessarily need to be a 100% completion of each mission either, although be sure to do any tactical objectives you see during your journey. Tactical objectives appear on your map as bright blue icons. Things like the "SEAF Artillery" and "Radar Station" (among many more) count toward this goal. Upon completing 10 of these objectives, the "They don't call it Tacticool for nothin'" achievement will pop.

                                                                Achievement #29:
                                                                In the nick of time
                                                                Extract after the timer reaches zero.

                                                                  This is easiest to do during blitz missions as they already have a very small time allowance. Complete the mission objectives and head to the extraction, call the pelican, and just wait out the timer. Once the automatic 20s timer will starts, hop into the ship and this achievement is yours.

                                                                  Achievement #30:
                                                                  Extractinating the Countryside
                                                                  Play a planet defense mission.

                                                                    To find a defense mission on the galactic map, the game will place the word "Defend" overtop the planet. From here, play any mission on the planet that needs defending and this achievement will pop.









                                                                    Achievement #31:
                                                                    That which does not kill you…
                                                                    Be injured in all limbs at the same time.

                                                                      This is a very luck-based achievement that is finicky to get. You'll want to equip any armor set that gives the "Democracy Protects" passive ability. Before loading into a difficulty 1 map, equip as many quick-cooldown support stratagems as you can (not really necessary as you can "Return to Ship" if you've expended them all). Once loaded into the world, throw down a stratagem and stand underneath it. Now you hope and pray that the armor saves your life while breaking all your limbs. I had to do this a dozen times in order to actually get it to work.

                                                                      Achievement #32:
                                                                      Hold My Liber-tea!
                                                                      While using a jump pack, knock yourself into a ragdoll state.

                                                                        This is yet another finicky achievement that wants you to enter a ragdoll state while using the jetpack stratagem (unlocks at level 8 for 6k requisition slips). Before loading into a difficulty 1 map, make sure to equip the jetpack stratagem, heavy armor (ideally with the explosive resistance perk), and regular grenades. Upon loading into the world, call down and equip the jetpack. From here you want to throw a grenade at your feet and use the jetpack right before the grenade explodes. You may need to do this a few times before getting the hang of it.

                                                                        Achievement #33:
                                                                        Cool guys don't loo- AAAAH!
                                                                        Fly at least 25 meters from the shockwave of an explosion.

                                                                          NOTE:
                                                                          You don't need to survive the explosion to get this achievement.

                                                                          This is an easy achievement to grab! Equip the 500kg bomb, and a jetpack, and get yourself to a high point in the map of your choice. Throw the 500kg at your feet and right before it explodes, run in any direction to get some momentum and then use the jetpack to get yourself some air time. The explosion from the 500kg should be enough to launch your corpse 25m and get you this achievement.

                                                                          Achievement #34:
                                                                          Promote Synergy
                                                                          Provide assisted reload for a teammate.

                                                                            You'll need to have another person in your team using a support stratagem that comes with an ammo backpack. Examples of this are the Recoilless Rifle, handheld Autocannon, and the Airburst Rocket launchers. When your fellow helldiver fires their weapon (and assuming you have the ammo backpack), you can walk up to them and use the input-prompt to reload their gun. Doing so will grant you this achievement.

                                                                            Achievement #35:
                                                                            They mostly come at night…
                                                                            Extract from a mission during nighttime.

                                                                              When viewing a planet's mission from the galactic map, you'll notice that there is a dark-side to each planet. Simply enter, complete, and extract from any of the missions in the dark side of the map to get this achievement.




                                                                              Achievement #36:
                                                                              Job's done!
                                                                              Complete a mission but fail to extract.

                                                                                This is easiest to do on blitz missions due to the limited time allowance. Complete the mission as normal but don't go to extract. Let the timer run out and let the emergency pelican leave after the automatic 20s timer. Doing so will grant you this achievement.

                                                                                Achievement #37:
                                                                                It's the only way to be sure…
                                                                                Have 6 orbital barrage stratagems in the same place at the same time.

                                                                                  You'll need at least one fellow helldiver to join you to get this achievement. Ensure you both equip at least 3 orbital barrage stratagems. Examples include "Orbital Gatling Barrage", "Orbital 120mm HE Barrage", "Orbital 380mm HE Barrage", "Orbital Walking Barrage", and the "Orbital Napalm Barrage". Upon loading into the map, you and your fellow helldiver should throw them all into the same general area as quickly as you can (to avoid getting killed) and the achievement should pop once at least 6 of these barrage stratagems are in spawning in.

                                                                                  Achievement #38:
                                                                                  Democracy ain't done with you yet
                                                                                  Heal another player using stims.

                                                                                    When playing missions, keep an eye on your fellow helldivers health bar (bottom left of screen). Once their health bars turn red, walk up to them and press "E" to inject them with one of your stims. Doing so will grant you this achievement.
                                                                                    Conclusion

                                                                                    I did the "hold my primary" achievement in a eradicate automaton forces mission solo. I equipped the sentry autocanon, mortar launcher an rocket sentry along with a mech. Just run around while the sentries kill things

                                                                                    You're absolutely correct and I assume you're referring to the "Gone in 360 seconds" achievement. I've stated that not all factories need to be completed in the final line of my achievement description. But to help make this more clear, I can place it into a box right underneath the achievement icon.
