"Two-Lane-Blacktop" is a movie from 1971. You need both "the mechanic" and "the girl" in your car while you have the egg food item in your trunk. Just pick up both hitchhiker and then buy some eggs at any pub. Cheers.

If you're having trouble with the "You want an egg?" achievement: first, it's to have the mechanic, the girl, and a jar of pickle eggs in your car at the same time. Second, do the quests for the hitchhikers you don't want so they don't show up again, IE the kid, the hiker, the bride, etc. It's still rng but it helps. You always want one seat free so you can potentially pick up a missing piece (the mechanic or the girl), and then have one of the quest people in your car so you can get them out of the way. Keep in mind the hiker's quest is on a time limit. It's probably best to use the Sedan or at least the muscle car, so you can have one good hitchhiker, one quest one, and then space for the girl or the mechanic.

Instructions for Rehab Ending are wrong; you need to consume Cocaine, enter Withdrawal, then consume Cocaine again while still in Withdrawal. You will then gain the Junkie Trait, and while on the road, you need an Introspection event (pick "I remember I saw a rehab postcard somewhere") to start the Getting Clean quest. Don't take any more Cocaine; it will fail the quest. Reach the Hospital, then the Rehab Center- which will be shown on your map -to earn the ending.

The fastest way to do this is to start a run with the Shady Things Package, which you get from the Arrested Ending, and Daydreamer to ignore events. Take your first dose before leaving home, and head north around the mountain. Sleep somewhere along the way to enter Withdrawal, and consume your second dose as mentioned before. You'll hopefully get the Introspection soon after, then complete the route.

Just got the "You want an egg?" achievement by finding a Jar of Eggs in while exploring an alley in the city.

“You want an egg?” is by far the shittiest Achievement in 2025 I try to unlock. The RNG on the hitchhikers is a joke. I’m now 24 hours into the game and met the girl only once. 4 hours into my current run and I met the Idiot three times (two in a row) and I’m still searching for the girl now.

20 hours and i never encountered the punk

For 'You want and egg' I had them both in my car already (Mechanic and Girl) bought the eggs after reading the comments here and the achievement popped. Didn't require for her to say that line or picking up the Mechanic later. I was using the sedan and I also had the Songwriter and Suit in the car.

I dropped of "The Suit" at home, because he missed his daughter. Probably not a good idea to bring "The Kid" along when you want to do the achievement "Taxes and Love". Or maybe i did something else wrong...

For the kid one, it's not optional to get the quest from the diner. You need to the diner quest to know the actual location of where to take them. Otherwise you're go around infinitely forever.

"You want an egg?" Worked like this for me:
1.) I picked up The Girl about the middle of June. (Driving Muscle Car)
2.) She asked if I wanted an egg a day later. So, went and bought some from a local pub.
3.) I drove all over the map before finally running across the mechanic June 23. The instant he got in my car, this achievement popped.
