Alright. Since the latest Steam update you now have the option of selecting the PlayStation button prompts. It's pretty simple; open your Sphinx.ini with Notepad or any other text editor:

Windows: %appdata%\Sphinx\Sphinx.ini
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Sphinx/Sphinx.ini
Linux: ~/.local/share/Sphinx/Sphinx.ini

And put UsePlayStationButtonPrompts=1 in the [Graphics] section. For example if it looks something like this:

[Graphics] Vsync=2

You can add it like this, right at the top:

[Graphics] UsePlayStationButtonPrompts=1 Vsync=2

Save and the game should pick it up the next time you launch it. Let me know how it goes.

Reposting here for visibility reasons cause it looks like the toggle was never added inside the game menu and I'm not sure how many people even know about this option. If it ever gets updated I'm still keeping this guide up as an alternative method. That's all. Enjoy the game!
