1994
Pressed by the ravaging Knox virus, which had begun to slowly spread across European borders, the UN made the ultimate decision to assist the completely overwhelmed USA. Operation: Blackout, marked the largest UN military deployment in European history. Its single task: to liberate America from the undead and restore order in the ever-growing chaos.

Among the many vehicles used for this mission was a newly engineered armored personnel carrier, one that would be able to hold thousands at bay, and safely transport critical personnel through the most dangerous land on Earth.

Once the operation was initiated, only radio silence remained, never to be heard from again.


"The Tatrapan, first introduced in the 1990s, is a Slovak-made armored transport vehicle based on the reliable Tatra 815 chassis. Originally developed for military and peacekeeping operations, its modular design allowed for various configurations, from troop transport to command vehicles. Renowned for its durability, off-road performance, and heavy armor, the Tatrapan stands as a testament to robust Cold War-era engineering."

Notes:

-This vehicle should be armored on its own, but vanilla PZ does not have sufficent armoring system so protection must be crafted separately via Tsars library. The armor crafted is not visible

- Drivers interior is yet to be textured

- Error while changing rear-middle seats (shouldnt cause any issues)

- Caution when driving through dead bodies, the vehicle will bounce A LOT, so drive slowly if you wanna drive through them

- This vehicle can be found in : military zones, traffic jams and near hospitals



For better maneuverability, I recommend instaling "Offroad Go Brrr" or "Better Car Physics" mods.


This mod shouldnt cause any issues if added mid-save

Great Mod. But I cannot access the roof storage... any ideas?

@Mr . Q Thats very unusual, when Ive tried it last time the armor worked and was quite durable. Are you crashing the vehicle into huge amounts of zeds? If so theres a damage multiplier that can bypass the armor function and go into the regular car parts, basically damaging hood and engine

When I found this vehicle and completely modified it by pressing the "V" key, the vehicle itself had become as fragile as paper. The armor was not providing effective protection... Did the author consider enhancing the crash resistance of the original vehicle components?

Great mod, I spent hours trying to look for it, when I finally found it I was excited it has a huge load capacity, but when I ran over half a dozen zombies, the engine went to space, it looks like a paper car unfortunately.

@wizardgang62 the mod you're looking for is rv interiors it's not available for build 42 yet. play 41 for that mod
