Greetings for all JRPG fans. This is a late guide, but I just want to share my experiences playing this game, especially the bosses section near end game. One of them are Gwydion (The Dragon), first time against him I keep losing, and after a brief time I found strategy over the internet that works out but need a long time to beat him if player under leveled or don't have necessary skill, armor or weapon. So this guide can help you prepare yourself against him particularly but also some other bosses are easy to beat using the same strategy (with a little tweak on weapons/armor/skill)

Now for the preparation, Freelancer Job must be at max level 15 (you can just beat optional map bosses over and over to level this job easily, it takes some time, be patient). Assuming all of you are near end game (real ending) and have all the Job other then Freelancer at least at level 12 (best if max out level 15 already, but this guide will also help if you don't). Some of the Hall of Tribulation Bosses are easy to beat using this strategy without tweaking weapons and armor, if you just want a quick battle over and over to get their Special Weapon.

Seth

• Main Job : Freelancer
  
• Sub Job : Any Attacking Sub Job you prefer is okay-ish, preferable the one with powerfull attack at level 12
  
• Weapon : The best weapon you have at this point of game (I suggest if you already have it Darksoul Sword) and Darkseed Kukri (this is mainly to overide Gwydion Half Damage to all weapon with the Kukri Dark Elemental so your attack always get full damage
  
• Headwear : Ribbon (Prevent some status ailment)
  
• Armor : Best armor you have at this point of game (I suggest Armor with Fire and/or Light Resistance, this especially for defeating Gwydion in mind, but you can use other elemental resistance armor against another bosses
  
• Accesories : Black Belt (I suggest Sensei Belt if you already have it) and another elemental resistance accesories to back up armor elemental resistance. example : Gwydion attacks are fire and light, so if you don't have the best armor for this (Hellplate armor), you can have whatever armor with fire resistance and accesories with light resistance or vice versa

Gloria

• Main Job : Spiritmaster
  
• Sub Job : White Mage
  
• Weapon : The best weapon you have at this point of game (I suggest if you already have it Maidenhair Staff) and Other Powerfull Staff you already have
  
• Headwear : Ribbon (Prevent some status ailment)
  
• Armor : Best armor you have at this point of game (I suggest Armor with Fire and/or Light Resistance, this especially for defeating Gwydion in mind, but you can use other elemental resistance armor against another bosses
  
• Accesories : Black Belt (I suggest Sensei Belt if you already have it) and another elemental resistance accesories to back up armor elemental resistance. example : Gwydion attacks are fire and light, so if you don't have the best armor for this (Hellplate armor), you can have whatever armor with fire resistance and accesories with light resistance or vice versa

Elvis

• Main Job : Freelancer
  
• Sub Job : Arcanist
  
• Weapon : The best weapon you have at this point of game (I suggest if you already have it Sunshine Staff) and Other Powerfull Staff you already have
  
• Headwear : Ribbon (Prevent some status ailment)
  
• Armor : Best armor you have at this point of game (I suggest Armor with Fire and/or Light Resistance, this especially for defeating Gwydion in mind, but you can use other elemental resistance armor against another bosses
  
• Accesories : Black Belt (I suggest Sensei Belt if you already have it) and another elemental resistance accesories to back up armor elemental resistance. example : Gwydion attacks are fire and light, so if you don't have the best armor for this (Hellplate armor), you can have whatever armor with fire resistance and accesories with light resistance or vice versa

Adelle

• Main Job : Freelancer
  
• Sub Job : Thief/Phantom
  
• Weapon : The best weapon you have at this point of game (I suggest if you already have it Vangeance Knife) and Darkseed Kukri (this is mainly to overide Gwydion Half Damage to all weapon with the Kukri Dark Elemental so your attack always get full damage
  
• Headwear : Ribbon (Prevent some status ailment)
  
• Armor : Best armor you have at this point of game (I suggest Armor with Fire and/or Light Resistance, this especially for defeating Gwydion in mind, but you can use other elemental resistance armor against another bosses
  
• Accesories : Black Belt (I suggest Sensei Belt if you already have it) and another elemental resistance accesories to back up armor elemental resistance. example : Gwydion attacks are fire and light, so if you don't have the best armor for this (Hellplate armor), you can have whatever armor with fire resistance and accesories with light resistance or vice versa

ABILITIES (Seth, Elvis and Adelle)

• Lunar Powered (Because of lunar power unique effect of increased evasion at night so i suggest to battle gwydion or other bosses at night)
  
• Revenge (every received damage will grant BP 1)
  
• Critical Flow (sometimes critical attack will grant BP 1)
  
• Surpassing Power (Attack caps over 9999)
  
• Comeback Kid (counter Gwydion Doom status effect)

ABILITIES (Gloria)

• Sub-Job Speciality 1 (to get white mage speciality to reduce damage)
  
• Thrust and parry (reduce damage)
  
• No guts no glory (reduce damage)
  
• Comeback Kid (counter Gwydion Doom status effect)
  
• Lunar powered (Evasion dan gain MP)

Main theory of this strategy is to abuse Freelancer Body Slam and Mimic technique, Gloria will not attack and only used for a safety measure if something goes wrong. Gwydion have 2 stance: On the ground and Flying. While on the ground he will be counter any physical attack and when flying he will be counter magic attack, so the strategy is to make him fly then spam him with body slam until he is defeated without him doing anything dangerous.

Remember to always fight at night, so Lunar Powered increased evasion ability can be triggered

• Gloria's spirits will take care of healing and reviving if something bad happened, comeback kid skill will come into action after 2 turns if Gwydion decide to spam Doom status effect, so basically you are covered on the health side
  
• Now to the battle, first we must make Gwydion fly, his HP must drop to a certain amount, so you must attack with dark magic, here Elvis sub Job arcanist come into action. make sure Elvis use the magic once. If it is not his turn, the other going to use default until Elvis turn then he can spam the Doomsday magic once
  
• Seth, Elvis and Adelle will use mimic every time their turn, so they will use the doomsday without using any MP and Elvis MP will not be drop
  
• After Gwydion fly, whoever turn if not Gloria, will use Body Slam once, and if have spare BP, use brave, then Mimic
  
• Everyone (not gloria) then use Brave with spare BP and use Mimic, be careful not to overuse BP to negative, because you will lose a turn. Gloria can just use Default
  
• If your characters need more healing with gloria skill, after gloria used healing, the next character don't use mimic, because they will reuse gloria healing effect again. so the next character must use Body Slam again Once, then repeat the Mimics spam again
  
• Body Slam once -> Mimics every turn (BP will acumulated with critical so more than one Mimics can be used with brave command every turn) rinse and repeat
  
• Enjoy your battle, Gwydion will not doing anything else until he is defeated

Gwydion easiest battle for minimal equipment and skill/Job level. Now I have mention that this strategy can be implemented to other Bosses with a little tweak on the Weapon/Accessories and Abilitties even the Hall of Tribulation Bosses.

If there are more than 1 Boss use this Strategy :

• Because some of the bosses don't have special stance like Gwydion, you can just start spamming the Body Slam and Mimics Technique on the healer/dangerous one first, the first character using Body Slam will choose target, and the others using Mimics will follow
  
• After the first Boss down, next character stop using Mimics, and use Body Slam again once on the next target. Sometimes mimics take next target as we intended, but I don't like gambling so it's better to choose Body Slam manually before using Mimics again
  
• Don't forget to use the Body Slam again if your action interupted with Gloria Healing/Arise or anything else (Items/Examine).
  
• For other Bosses, you can change Gloria Main Job as Freelancer, so more attack power.
  
• Always fight at night to use the Lunar Powered ability : more Evasion, it helped a lot against toughest Bosses

This strategy somehow effective enough for me to get all the Job Speciality Weapons faster. Some notes here:

• Hall of Tribulation V are quite dangerous because of Bosses Combined skill can wipe out entire party FAST so you need more preparation. The other Hall of Tribulation Bosses even though Harder then Hall of Tribulation V but somehow manageable using this particular strategy.
  
• Hall of Tribulation I Bosses are the most irritating, because they can drag the battle for very long. One of the bosses can revived himself after some amount of time, and the other can use physical/magical barrier, so it's more on the annoying side, if you keep on patience and use this strategy diligently they can be defeated
  
• Other Hall of Tribulation beside the ones I mention above, can be defeated using this strategy FAST, but before you must know which boss are the healer/dangerous one to defeat first
