The M36 tank destroyer, also known as the Jackson (By collectors after the war), was an American armored vehicle developed during World War II to combat German tanks, such as the Panther and Tiger. It was designed as an upgrade to the earlier M10 tank destroyer, incorporating a more powerful gun and improved overall performance.
The M36 was developed in response to the need for a tank destroyer capable of engaging heavily armored German tanks at greater ranges.
Its primary armament was the 90mm M3 gun, a significant improvement over the 3-inch (76.2mm) gun used in the M10.
The B2 variant was designed in the months following the war. Despite technically not being a WW2 vehicle, I will still keep it in the collection.
