Since OG and Winter Assault now in one folder, this is a universal method now.
Simply download the archive and extract the contents to a specific folder.
Also below are special files that remove fog for a large -range of the camera in the campaign.

Download the archive and extract the files along the path:
Your local disk/steam/steamapps/common/Dawn of War Gold/W40k/Data

Or extract in any plaсe, then open local files of your game in steam and go to W40k/Data and copy files in this plase.

Important mention: in rare cases, if the removal of the camera did not work right away, you need to change any settings of the graphics (change any graphic settings-> apply-> Put the necessary for you-> restart game) and restart the game so that the distance will work.




Camera range example
Removing of fog at maximum camera range in the campaign
When downloading files above, you will increase the removal of the camera in the entire game. However, even this have it's limit of visibility that can draw a game.

Files below are designed to improve visibility and drawing range ONLY in campaigns of all parts of the game. They go in addition to the files of the camera range from above.


IT IS IMPORTANT, that old campaigns saves will not work after installing this camera files. It is recommended to install before start new campaign!


Download the archive for the part you need:

Extract to the same folder as the files of the changing camera from above:
Local disk (yours)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/Dawn of War Gold/W40K/DATA/

And this it! Now your default camera range is further and you can also zoom out or zoom in even further.

Relic finally decided to get their heads out of the ass and show the manifestation of "work" (copying the work of moders) announcing Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Definitive Edition for modern platforms, which includes all games of the Dow 40000 series.

Treat with common skepticism and read the reviews before buying, taking into account their previous attempts to resell the same game, as well as their fuckup with the "anniversary edition".

@BEAN KNIGHT (PERMA MUTED) Well i don't even know what to say, the process is quite straightforward. I try reinstal my version and implement files agan, all work fine.

yeah they got extracted right into W40K/data Maybe it just doesn't work for me?

@BEAN KNIGHT (PERMA MUTED) You need only unpack files from archive what you download in a certain folder. I see only one way, you mb missclick and extract them in WXP\Data. You need extract them in W40k\Data.

I did as the steps asked and it did not seem to work is there anything I need to do past just putting the files into the data file?

I also added files that remove the fog at the distance as well as improving the drawing range SPECIFICALLY for the campaign.
