Quite possibly the most menacing and feared (at the time of writing this entry) machine of war is the Nusian Platform. It is a large mechanical beast standing at roughly 50 studs tall, equipped with 4 automated 32mm Servon Dynamics interceptor cannons. In a vote held by the Nusian defense council, three propositions were made. The winner of that vote, roughly 42.8% of the vote, would be the modern Platform.

The Platform is designed to be essentially, a walking artillery that would phase out the outdated and rapidly aging stationary artillery guns. It is completely automated, but the machine is capable of supporting a crew of 8 should the situation require it. The quadruped steel beast sports a 255mm Multi-Purpose tungsten shell, which can only be activated and fired reliably when the vehicle is stationed. The on-board computers and satellite communications array does not feature an internal barrel stabilizer, so hence it is incapable of firing while moving.

The hull is made out of expensive, but effective Ricochet Steel, which is made from a refined variant of the Shielder's Guesan-composite shield production process. This means that for the majority of its hull, it is completely impervious to incoming projectiles. However, the designers of the Platform forgot to account for the fact that the on-board artillery gun needed an ammunition source, so they resorted to planting it on the belly of the beast for the time being. And yes, it's still there.

Its programming dictates that it should find an optimal position near the enemy, and plant itself upon the ground. This planting process (also called stancing) takes some time, usually involving all 4 legs stretching out and creating an optimal firing base to balance out the centre of mass.

I recreated it as closely as possible and it turned out amazing. Its a slow but powerful and fun to use.
