Description

A personal mod that takes the localization strings and translate them to English using ChatGPT 4o.

There is already an English translation but is missing loc strings and it does not seem to follow the existing grammatical convention and formatting established by the game itself. This mod provides an alternative English translation using AI.

This mod does the following

  • Feeds the original Chinese strings into ChatGPT and then I did manual corrections and adjustments afterwards to fit the theme of the game and existing in-game terms.
  • Corrects location names from "Fuzhou" to "Fu-Chow" and "Beiqi" to "Beichai" with reference to in-game (eastern shores of Grand Cathay if you look to the far right). Similarly, "Nangau" to "Nan-Gau".
  • Added additional newline characters to space out the text to be more readable instead of being bunched up into one unending block of text.
  • Fixes the incorrect usage of "[[img:icon_daemonic]]" so it shows the proper icon for the Gilded Pagoda Sentinels' ability.

No need for an update unless more units are added to the mod.

Sorry for the delay, was busy updating my other mods for patch 6.2

Updated to add translations for the latest strings and updated the entry for "dilemmas_localised_description_whc_initial_army" as of 2025-06-19.

Hi Dante, I've updated the main files for War Under Heaven. Added a new Ogre unit (Key: cth_central_tianting_ogr_swordsmaster) and modified the text entry for dilemmas_localised_description_whc_initial_army in /text/whc_incident.loc. Could you localize these when you have time? Appreciate it!

Yeah I just translated the Korean description today reading the beta and continued progress and stuff, so I am sorry for wasting your time.

I just figured you were the best one for the job, since your other translations are really good and those I made took several days even a week for one of them, as I had to translate everything, then find fantasy/historical lore and finally come up with something thematical myself, as translation from Google was mostly gibberish, whereas your program seems really good.

If you decide to do it, once they finalize the mod a lot more in the future, it will be highly appreciated. :steamthumbsup:

@RagnaroK So I checked it out and since it is in such early stages, most of the texts are placeholder. So maybe I will come back to it in a few months.
