Step One: Install MVCI

This part is nice and simple. Install MVCI as you usually would, and run it once, to make sure all the files for it generate. I recommend using a Solid State Drive instead of a Hard Disk Drive to make this next part smoother, but its up to you. Once its up and running, feel free to exit the game and move on to the next step.
Step Two: Download the Mod

You have a few options for downloading this mod. If you have a Nexus account to download mods for other games, you might find it easiest to use Nexus for the download; if not, Mediafire usually requires you to watch a quick ad and get the download that way.

The official site for the mod is https://www.mvcib.com. If you see the logo, you're in the right place!

If you'd like to skip the site altogether, the following links are (as of the date of writing this) up and running.

Option 1: Nexus

https://www.nexusmods.com/marvelvscapcominfinite/mods/7/?tab=description&BH=4

Click the "Files" tab at the top.

Click "Manual Download".

Wait for the file to download, then move on to the next step. Free users will need to click the "SLOW DOWNLOAD" button, but it'll all get there eventually.

Option 2: Mediafire

https://www.mediafire.com/file_premium/e6ltz3wf1ysnmxf/MVCI_Beyond_1.0.zip/file

Click "Download 7.5 GB".

Wait for the download to finish, then move on to the next step.
Step Three: Install the Mod
When you finally finish the download, you'll see a zip file; this is probably in your Downloads folder. Windows comes built in with a way to open zip files, so just let it do its thing; alternatively, if you have WinRAR for RAR files, this will also open zip files.

Open the file, and the files within, until you see this:

With this opened, go ahead and minimize, and head to you Library in Steam. You're going to want to find Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, right-click it, and click "Properties".

Click Installed File on the left, then "Browse" to open up the install directory for the game.

Alternatively, if you know where you installed the game, you can find it at (drive:)\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\MARVEL VS. CAPCOM INFINITE.

You should see this once its opened:

All you need to do now is open that zip file you minimized, click on the "MVCI" folder and drag it from the zip file into your install directory; if it asks you to overwrite, say yes.

Once you're finished, launch the game! You'll know it worked when the title appears!

Enjoy the mod!

Hello folks. I already installed the mod, but I don't see the Evil Ryu and Strider costumes. I got the 1.1 and hotfix but I don't see the costumes somewhere. Do I have to unlock another costume to see those?

@herogonpoly the easiest way is just to uninstall the game and delete the folder with the mod that gets left behind, then reinstall.

How might we remove the mod if we no longer wish to have it?

Anyone know why I get network error preventing online play? Tried reinstalling the game and mod several times, playing on a wired connection, I have no clue. On Steam Deck, worked fine before the update

@hookahbear559 You either messed something up or need to restart your PC. Try again.

Update: I took a 'fullscreen' modifier I got from a guide for Greenlight and that got the controls working. Now it just runs a little slower than normal when it's not on the title screen), but otherwise is playable.

@Ribnax your best bet is to look up a tutorial. I don't think Max even knows anything about how it works aside from "it should be fine". I can't afford a Steam Deck yet myself, so I can't spend the time troubleshooting it or make a guide for it.

If y'all want to start a collection for me, I'll get right on it. :P
