Warning - this submod uses AI 2x upscaling and a lot of image detail is lost and/or looks frankensteined. Otherwise, it would have been too blurry for my liking.

This submod enables compatibility between the Alternative Unit Cards and Scrap Upgrade UI Framework mods. The vanilla Scrap UI by CA uses the 120x260 large unit cards located in ui/units/infopics and normally, unit cards are located in ui/units/icons in a 60x130 size. If you use the two mods as is, then the vanilla unit cards will be shown in the Scrap Upgrade UI instead of r1kko's.

Tool used is Upscayl at https://github.com/upscayl/upscayl. Batch settings set to 2x scale and using the "General Photo (Ultrasharp)" model.

The following steps was done:

1. Extract all the 60x130 unit cards at ui/units/icons from the Alternative Unit Cards mod.
2. Extract the ui/units/infopics/infopic_mask.png image file.
3. Launch Upscayl, set up the batch settings and then batch upscale all of the 60x130 unit cards into 120x260.
4. Open up Photoshop and select the transparent background of the mask and make it black. Then inverse select and then delete the content in the middle to create the large unit card frame.
5. Record a Photoshop action that places the edited large unit card frame on top of a 120x260 large unit card, export to PNG and then close the image file.
6. Now you can begin the Photoshop automation and have it use the recorded action and set the Destination to "None".
7. Open up the submod in RPFM and import all the new 120x260 large unit card into the ui/units/infopics folder.
8. Done.

4. Record a Photoshop action that places the mask on top and the unit card on bottom, creates a clipping/cut mask on the mask itself and exports it as a PNG.
5. Now you can begin the Photoshop automation and have it use the recorded action and set the Destination to "None".
6. Open up the submod in RPFM and import all the new 120x260 large unit card into the ui/units/infopics folder.
7. Done.

You can load this submod before or after the 2 required mods.

Hi, long time ago, but yes they do, in the chorf interface and beastmen interface. it also affects them when they appear in loading screens. i use this mod for this very purpose, without even using the scrap ui framework. great mod, even though i use it for for another purpose.

@antentacion I am not sure. If their interfaces reuse the original scrap UI, then maybe?
antentacion 19.2. klo 12.47
does this also cause the larger unit cards, for example in chaos dwarf and beastmen interface, to use these cards?

@Huppias oh wow that looks wayyy better than what I had to do and is pretty much like vanilla. Did not know about clipping/cut mask. I will update this shortly.
Huppias 30.12.2024 klo 17.23
I found that the images produced by creating a cut mask were more consistent with vanilla。
1.unit cards on top,infopic_mask.png on down
2.Right-click unit cards to create a cut mask

Dante  [tekijä] 26.12.2024 klo 0.33
@Huppias Completely forgot to add the mask to the mod. I just added it in. Feel free to use it!

Hero, can you also upload the modified infopic_mask.png in the mod?
