This is where you will find your actual game save file, Steam will automatically update the save file every time the game autosaves or manually saves, than upload to the cloud. This is the location where your savefile is stored.

These should be the actual files, make sure to copy them to your clipboard once you find them

Your backup folder can look however you want it to look, and be organized however you want it to be organized. after copying the files to a backup folder, it should be safe to start a new game, and manually swap out the save files.
