My version of the German WW2 Sd.Kfz. 7 gun tractor. This one in the classic German khaki or Dunkelgelb (dark yellow).
As always it's an approximation, not a 1:1 replica.

The Sd.Kfz. 7 was a half-track military vehicle used by the German Army, Luftwaffe and Waffen-SS during the Second World War. Sd.Kfz. is an abbreviation of the German word Sonderkraftfahrzeug, "special purpose vehicle". A longer designation is mittlerer Zugkraftwagen 8t, Sd.Kfz. 7, "medium towing motor vehicle 8t". The production vehicle first appeared in 1938 and was intended to be used mainly as the tractor for the 8.8 cm FlaK gun and the 15 cm sFH 18 150 mm howitzer but was used for towing an array of guns and other trailers and cargo, including the 8.8 cm Pak 43/41 AT-gun.

The vehicle could carry gun crews of up to 12 men in theatre-type seats. Under the seats was storage room for various tools, and the whole vehicle was spacious enough to carry their kit. The rear of the vehicle housed an enclosed compartment for storage of ammunition, though a second ammunition carrier was desirable. It was also used as a recovery vehicle for lightly armored vehicles.

The Sd.Kfz.7 was used throughout the war and 12,187 were built. It saw extensive use in the North African Campaign where their tracks allowed them to drive through the desert sands far more effectively than trucks. It was used in all theatres of war where the Germans fought.

I built this to have a proper towing vehicle specifically for my updated 8.8 cm Pak 43/41 AT-gun.

Since Bob is such a thick boi this version only has room for 7 passengers besides the driver.

I've chosen to use the male coupling on the vehicle, as it should be, and my updated Pak 43/41 has the female coupling. I'm not sure why so many, especially older, builds use the female coupling on the towing vehicle but if you need to switch it out feel free, I just don't want to upload double versions of every vehicle because people don't know how a real coupling works. :)

CONTROLS
Driver's seat
W/S: Throttle.
A/D: Steering.
L/Headlights: Headlights.
K/Hazard Lights: Blackout Light.
H/Horn: Horn.

The hood, windshield and all hatches are operated with buttons on them.

A NOTE!
I wanted the spare wheel (rear lower hatch) to be detachable, but for some reason Bob can't pick it up even if it weighs only 20 kg. Not sure if it's becasue it is a wheel? So sadly it's only cosmetic.
