[OFFICIAL] HOW TO SHAKE YOUR RAT ON THE STEAMDECK

While Ratshaker is not officially Steamdeck verified yet, we tested it on the hardware and with the newest patch installed, it performs pretty well.

To get things set up, you will want to follow the guide below, as else you will be stuck staring at an error message instead of happily shaking your worries away.

Go to the RATSHAKER Library page.

Go to compatibility and check “Force the use of a specific Steam Play Compatibility tool”

Click on the appearing dropdown. Make sure Experimental is selected.

Done. Have fun shaking your rat!

game doesnt start. theres no error screen it just bring me to home page

Looking back at this comment I feel it prudent to mention that this is not an issue with other games which require DirectX 12. As far as I am aware it should have downloaded and installed an instance of the software upon initial startup similar to other games, which it did not.

Experimental threw up the same error as before. Set it back to 6.3 and it complained about not having DirectX 12.

set it up on the deck so that the left mouse button (R2 in my case) would also turn on gyro as mouse with really high sensitivity.
I am now convinced that shaking the steam deck irl to shake the rat is the best way to play on the deck. Def made for a way funnier experience
