Mai's Little Addons

Kuvaus
Adds many little extra additions to vanilla airships! A new governor, completely reworked conquest balancing, multiple new monster encounters, a few new modules, new names for places and four entire beautiful new AI factions designed by the one and only Bonible aka Con! Also adds all the content from Mai's Difficulty Rework!

Reworks the game's difficulty to make the difficulties more intuitive for new players, and removes the frustratingly unbalanced higher difficulty spikes. Courtesy of the legendary Stevenbert Gregley Pinefield of the Abraxas Federation. Adds the following changes. Nerfs AI factions to prevent dogpiling and removes unfair mechanics. Harder difficulties are now designed to be difficult, but not unfairly so. Normal Difficulty is now actually balanced to be playable by the average casual player. Higher difficulties will require more optimized airships and tactics instead of requiring exploits, netdecked airships and cheap cheese. Players now do not start with an airship, but during the starting age, all production is increased to 250% (even for AI), which massively reduces the boring wait at the start where everyone builds their markets and constructs their first ships.

Revamps the balancing in Conquest Mode to try and make larger empires not as viable and encourage players not to just steamroll everything by increasing unrest and spy presence. I know this is not for everyone. People want to conquer and become huge. But at some point the game just sort of plays itself. Sure there are the big endgame monster nests, but I just feel like the game stops being fun when you control half the map, cleaning up the scraps of whatever monsters and inferior nations are left. In my opinion, there should be penalties to running a huge nation. This will make it feel more like actual politics, where you need to make sure you don't take too much land as to become disliked or hated. You can conquer a lot of nations, but you are probably going to be hated by, no matter if inside your nation or outside.

- Bribing a Governor immediately maxes out the Spy Level.
- City Income has been increased by 25%
- Espionage is now more reliably successful
- Town and City Base Unrest increased
- Doubled Unrest Increase due to Empire Size
- Minor Increases to Unrest after a Raid/Strike or when disconnected from the Capital
- Declaring War gives a 3 Reputation Penalty, increased by up to 3 more if Disliked or Hated
- Removes Reputation Gain for conquering Hated Cities
- Increases Resupply Speed by 25% and doubles Resupply Bonus from Supply Depots and Logistical Centres (Including Global)
- Decreased Guided Missile Tracking and Damage
- Aircraft Command Centres now give Command (slightly worse than a Bridge) and give a 5% Fleet Command Bonus
- Aircraft Hangars now give Bonus HP for your Ship and have a bit of built-in Repair
- Adds the Mothrine Cult, 1st/2nd/3rd Generation Mothfolk Settlers and Ouroboros Scouts as monster nests
- Reduced the unfair bonuses of higher difficulties and balances lower difficulties
- Players no longer start with a ship, but start with more money
- The first age of the game gives 250% Production Speed to allow for the setup phase to not be gruelingly long
- Adds a large new amount of names for areas on the map and cities/empires
- Adds the Volean Prince as a Governor
- Adds Crow's Nests and Biplane Hooks to Landships and Buildings
- Adds a Primitive Tier 1 Turret
- Adds an Elevator Module that allows for quick ascension and descension
- Moderately buffs the Bowsprits' health and health bonus.
- Adds massive buffs to the Trebuchet, including higher damage, range and removing the accuracy debuffs when attacking airships, but its cost is doubled!
- Increased Deck gun HP by 50%
- Increased Pressurized Dust Tank Cost
- Increased regular Dust Tank Health
- Increased Suspendium Chamber Lift (Small/Large Included)

This is an excellent mod, exactly what I have been looking for. I wish the dev made the gamepace slower by default tbh, he still needs to work on the grand strategy mechanics more and this addresses my issues perfectly.

@DrinkingDeuterium sadly that isn't an option, but if the future ever holds the ability to turn off attacks on a specific encounter or even befriend them, I will strongly consider adding it bc tbh the moffs dont deserve to be attacked qwq

Is there a way to befriend the mothfolk settlers? Killing them makes me sad but so do their occasional attacks

@Benetrator - Beton it was actually designed to work with both vanilla and CC, but works best with CC Mothtweaked

Has anyone tested whether this works together with CC? Love the tweaks but I also like the tech tree from CC

@Superb_noob Yes, it is intended. The starting phase specifically gives faster building to allow for you to finish construction of your stuff while all is still calm. Even then, NPCs still start with buildings, which means you only ever need to build buildings for one city and two villages really.
