As you know, when on steam deck and starting a new game, the keyboard never goes away. The way I found to solve this was to hold down the power button, and in the power menu press the steam button. This would send you to the steam menu without the keyboard, and then you can just re enter the game. Don't close the game and re open it, just go straight back in. Afterwards, you should be able to continue without worrying about the keyboard.

Other than that, other scenes that require the keyboard, like hangman and the fish, you shouldn't need to do this. At least, I didn't. But I am pretty sure that if you change your name without using the options from the name dlc, the keyboard issue will show up.
