A list of tips for v2.38
由 MegaMidboss 制作
This guide is going to be a list of basic to intermediate tips that I wish were compiled in one spot when I started playing the game. I'm not providing the following details to brag, just to point out the level of knowledge I currently possess about the game. I am currently in world 6 and my highest level character is a level 460 elemental sorcerer. Feel free to provide corrections in the comments section.

I made changes to the section headers to make it easier to find information related to that world. So now instead of the header saying General tips for World 1 it now says World 1 - General tips. This should make it easier to scan for the information you're looking for.

I last updated this guide sometime around when version 2.38 was released on June 7 2025.

Control Tips
Can’t click a unit because something else is in the way? The most apt usage would be when the arena NPC is in the way when fighting Biggie Hours for the Maestro quest and you don't want to use auto because it will move your character away from the rope that is used to climb down. Or maybe when a portal is stopping you from clicking on an event boss but auto in this scenario would still be useful. Or maybe when mobs in the arena or dungeon are in the way when you try to click on the boss. At any rate, try pressing r when facing your enemy and you should begin auto attacking an enemy that you are facing. Provided you aren't too far away that is.

Q brings up the attack talents menu without having to click the attack icon on the bottom bar.
Gem Tips
Want more gems in order to purchase things from the gem shop? The following things give gems:
  • Opening guild giftboxes that get put into your storage by the game once a week provided you're online.
  • Playing the ball drop arcade game. Talk to the jester in town to do it your first time. Afterwards, you can access it through quick ref.
  • Complete Killroy's slaughterhouse fights in world 2 town. Then convert the skulls into balls for the ball drop arcade game.
  • Equipping the big yellow alchemy bubble “Level Up Gift” to have a chance to get a gem when levelling up a character or skill.
  • Using the Journeyman talent "It's your birthday!" and hope it drops a gem.
  • Defeating world bosses like Amarok have a chance to drop gems when defeated if you have the 5th merit for world 2.
  • Killing giant monsters that can spawn if you have the Tachion of the Titans prayer from world 3 active while actively killing mobs.
  • Fighting in the arenas gives gems. When completed with a high enough score to get chests, that is.
  • Type in “If u love me let me go” when its close to the hour changing and you can join a spike trap minigame that gives you gems depending on how many rounds you survive. Make sure to spell it exactly as I did without the quotation marks. If you are eliminated without earning any gems you can rejoin before the next hour to have another chance of getting gems.
  • Following the dev on Twitch and joining his discord by opening options, then clicking the buttons to join the discord and follow on twitch for 50 gems each. The dev Lava also likes to drop gems or gem envelopes when he streams. You should see a notice at the top left in-game when he is streaming.
  • Completing achievements that award gems.
  • Unlocking certain recipes or unlocking gems in the unlocks section of the task board.
  • Exchanging alchemy liquids for gems.
  • Buying gem packs. Sometimes there will be cheaper packs like the $4.99 auto-loot pack and the $4.99 starter pack being offered.

As for what to spend gems on, it might be tempting to keep buying storage chests for 9 slots of storage per purchase like I did. However, it eventually becomes more efficient to buy item backpack spaces for an extra 4 slots. If you have 7 characters and they can each carry 4 more spaces that comes to 28 slots. Whereas the storage chests is a flat 9 slots for each purchase. Then, you can lock those backpack slots with gear specialized for that character instead of having to head back to town to pull it out of storage, or lock in some skilling food in your inventory if you keep forgetting to grab some before leaving to go skilling. Locking the inventory slots will prevent the deposit all command from depositing items in those slots. Keep in mind that you are currently limited to 5 bags of space. Other than those points that I have made, plenty of other people have made gem purchase tier lists and I feel that if I made one it wouldn’t be as well made.
Inventory Management Tips
If you have a bunch of oil in storage just sitting there and a forge that isn't smelting anything, just put the oil in the empty forge slots to free up storage space.

Silver pens can be long pressed with your mouse when you find them to put them into account level storage. The number of silver pens in account level storage can be viewed in the post office's inventory in world 2 at the bottom left. These pens let you skip an order to save your streak if you get an order that's too demanding. They also provide a shield against losing your streak if you miss a day for that order. They can also be used after completing an order so that you can do more post office tasks in a day. So no need to stockpile 150 silver pens if you're behind on doing your post office orders.

Key fragments from the dungeon can be used instead of stored in your storage box. They become a sort of account level currency that you can spend outside the first dungeon. You just can't view them in the menu where your other account level currencies are located.

See my tip in the gem tips section on whether to buy storage vs buying more bag space. Its eventually more gem efficient to buy bag space compared to buying storage when you get more characters.

Remember to use the item drop filter list on the left side of the card equipment menu to stop certain items from dropping. I currently have it blocking nomwiches, world 1 upgrade stones and tattered clothing. If its stuff that you would have to spend time doing inventory management at the end of a period of being AFK in order to pick up the items you actually want, chances are its a good idea to put it on the drop filter.
Mana Regen Tips
If you’re having trouble with mana regen (and you’re going to have mana issues if you follow the other guides recommendations to put all your points only into damage talents because mana regen was nerfed in the November 7 2024 update):
  • Equip the alien headband for 10% mana regen from Prometheus if you finish his quest to find Baba Yaga. You don’t need to defeat the boss, you just need to find them, if I recall correctly.
  • There is also the cryosnake card that you can equip and obtain from world 3 for 5% mana regen per card rank
  • There is the pulsation special talent that drops from king doot or biggie hours provided you have put the merit points into mini bosses dropping special talent books. Just don’t get your hopes up if you’ve spent a while trying to get the drop, you finally get a drop and it turns out to be the cardivascular book instead of the pulsation book. This provides 39% extra mana regen if you put in 65 star talent points.
  • Mana potions, while useful at regaining mana, are limited by how many drop from mobs in relation to how fast you use them. At the moment you can only buy small mana potions from the first world vendor. The shops in other worlds don't sell stronger mana potions so you have to find them from mobs.
  • And finally, you can always bump up your maximum mana with talents, obols, and other methods to improve your mana regen. This is because mana regen is based off of how high your max mana is. But it won’t be as noticeable as the above methods.
World 1,2,3 - Party Dungeon Tips
The above information shows when you're just outside of a dungeon getting ready to go in. The very top left icon that is blue and has a 0 is my number of boosted runs. You will accumulate boosted runs as you play and should use them during happy hour. My rank is shown to the right of the boosted runs and is currently at rank 38. As your rank goes up, you unlock more traits that you can activate during a dungeon run. For example, at rank 20 the pink choice lets the pink currency drop 30% more often from mobs and bosses. You can switch between these traits when you're outside of a dungeon. The rest is fairly straightforward, you have 2 types of currency, a find party button that will server hop to a populated server so you're not doing the dungeon on your own, and finally, there is the shop button.

Above is the flurbo shop outside the dungeon. I added in red arrows to show you that if you want to unlock more stuff in the top right you just have to click an empty box and the game will show you the requirements to unlock the selected shop item. For the star talents at the top right, you need to get a book with a high enough star talent level. For example, the second book requires you to get a first book with a max level of 70+. The third book requires you to get a second book with a max level of 80+. And so on. Other than that you will want to get yourself some elf twist rings if you're just starting out.

You will need to spend blue currency just outside the dungeon in the shop at the top left part of the UI to upgrade your dungeon stats so you don't get destroyed by the mobs in the dungeon.

Party dungeons have separate equipment from your regular gear. You can walk in there with gear that requires level 100 and have to equip a level 1 shirt to get more damage and block chance. You can then enchant your new dungeon equipment with boosts like +30% boss damage on a weapon or +block chance on armour. One thing to keep an eye out for, is that dungeon gear replaces your regular gear which then gets put into your inventory. So don't go accidentally dropping your regular gear when doing the first dungeon (which requires people to drop mob drops) then leave the dungeon. It will be gone just like any other zone you leave items behind in.

Equipping a dungeon ring doesn't always unequip your first non-dungeon ring. Which means you have to unequip it manually. And since you can't unequip gear during combat you will have to go to the area to the right with the frog and no mobs in the dungeon to unequip it then pickup the second ring.

You can see your progress towards the next rank of dungeon level you have below your MP bar. I believe its based on how much blue currency you've accumulated as you do dungeons. The pink currency is mainly for out of dungeon benefits whereas the blue currency is spent on dungeon benefits. I believe the blue currency you’ve obtained is also used to determine the power of your star talent Dungeonic Damage.

If you see the game say its happy hour, and you have boosted runs at your disposal, I recommend going to the dungeon, then clicking find party at the top left to server hop to a more active server and joining a party. Happy hour makes it so that you can use up to 20 boosted runs in a single run for the first dungeon.

The first dungeon involves killing mobs and dropping the mob drops that you get in front of the cauldron to summon the boss. The first boss is straight forward enough to summon and the average player will kill the mobs in front of the cauldron and the drops will go into the cauldron. The second boss is a bit harder as sometimes you need to move beyond the ground level to get monster drops or remind other players to check their inventory for monster loot. The final form tends to have mobs that hit like a truck.

The second dungeon has you doing random challenges to eventually take on the boss snakenhotep. You should always try to first take out the skull totem in each level otherwise you can't fight snakenhotep once the challenges section are over. And what's the point of a dungeon run without a boss to fight?

The third dungeon has you doing chores to get currency so that you can be strong enough to take on the boss. It is a good idea to have a lot of move speed for this dungeon since the level is fairly large. You will need a platinum pickaxe, a platinum logging axe at the least to do the skilling chores. However, I was able to use a gold fishing rod in this dungeon to fish up the fish. You can then spend that currency at the top right to get +50% extra damage, 1.5 and 2 times extra damage to guards, 25% move speed, more mobs and an RNG item.

When an achievement says “RNG unlock” it means you unlock a dungeon rng item drop for completing it. For example, when you achieve 5 'hunned Copper you unlock and can upgrade the unbalanced scale which lets you sell items in a dungeon for more money if you get that item to drop for you in a dungeon.

Dying in a dungeon and choosing the left resurrection option makes you lose two of the rng upgrades at the top left. For example, you can lose a helping heart and a pan lid upon being resurrected with that method.

Key fragments from the dungeon can be used instead of stored in your storage box. They become a sort of account level currency that you can spend outside the first dungeon. You just can't view them in the menu where your other currencies are located.

If you're running the first dungeon solo, or with a small group and the mobs stop spawning after you've killed them all but you still need more parts, throw the parts that are no longer needed in front of the cauldron and it will spawn more mobs. Chopping at the tree in the bottom left corner will also produce mobs but slower than dropping monster parts. The requirements in terms of tier of axe to spawn mobs at the tree will also increase as the bosses are defeated. It starts with a copper axe to spawn frogs, iron axe to spawn poisonic frogs, platinum axe after that to spawn the next mob and I'm not sure what the final round requires for the axe to chop and spawn mobs.
World 1-6 - Equipment Tips
The spear line of weaponry is an improvement over using the boxing gloves as it lets your warriors' basic attacks hit nearby enemies whereas the boxing gloves are single target.

If you’re having trouble with defence in world 3 and compensating with more and more food in order to progress, you might want to make sure that:
  • You are using upgrade stones from more recently unlocked worlds on your gear including your rings and necklace.
  • Make sure you have 2 chains from the dungeon content equipped on your character. In order to view your equipped chains first go to your equipment, then click the triangle pointing to the right below all your gear and the text will change from equipment to specials. Also make sure you have other dungeon gear like elf twist rings or bejeweled rings equipped.
  • Check how close you are to unlocking the frostbite tundra card set bonus which gives 5% defence and accuracy per rank.
  • That you have the oak tree, forest soul and sheepie cards equipped. The oak logs card provides 3 defense per rank, the forest soul provides 3% defense per rank and the sheepie card provides another 3% defense per rank of the card.
  • Check whether you have spare golden meat pies that you can equip. Having 10 equipped provides an extra 2.32% defense.
  • Make sure that you have the two defence star signs on the right side for 5% and 6% defence respectively. If you've unlocked them, that is. These star signs are called Fatty Doodoo and Ned Kelly.
  • Make sure you’ve been gathering stamps from the pig quests throughout the maps. A ridiculously easy stamp for defence that you can get is from snouts in the "stache splits" area of the world 3 map. He asks for 30 red salts and gives you the buckler stamp. There is also the combat stamp from the world 1 shop if you haven't purchased that yet.
  • Throw some liquids and resources into the small orange bubble FMJ on the 9th orange cauldron slot. At level 32 it provides 16% more defense and +1 base defense per class level up to 16.
  • You have your defense shrine placed in the area you're pushing. It has the name Isaccian shrine and is red with a heart on it.

If you’re comparing the elf twist ring from the dungeon with the bejeweled ring from the dungeon, keep in mind the bejeweled ring has 3 upgrade slots to the elf twist ring’s 2. So despite only having 4 defence to start with on the bejeweled ring, with some armour upgrade IV stones you can get more defence out of them compared to the elf twist rings. The elf twist ring starts with 7 and with two IV stones you can add 14 more for a total of 21 defence. The bejeweled ring starts with 4 and with three IV stones you can add 21 more for a total of 25 defence. It also has the additional benefit of 5% monster exp per ring and starts with 7 luck to help your drop rate and class exp gain a little bit.

One aspect of the IV upgrade stones that might be missed when using them, is that they apply the main stat of the character using the stone on a piece of equipment. Whereas the 1-3 upgrade stones apply a random stat. So you can get other classes to do the upgrade if you want accuracy instead of damage with the IV line of upgrade stones. Or, if you're getting your crafting archer to apply the upgrade stones before giving them to your other classes you're going to end up with a lot of agi stat boosts on all your gear.

The best piece of equipment for the armour upgrade stone B is on the sleek shank amulet in my opinion. Feel free to correct me. It is an amulet which has low material requirements that you’re going to use for the majority of World 1-3. If the upgrade fails the first or second time, sell the amulet, craft another and try again. That being said, once you can reliably afford upgrade stone IVs from world 4 those are a much better proposition for upgrading armour as they provide 7 armour 4 stats and don’t use up upgrade slots when they fail. One thing to consider though is that the B stone provides 5 armour 0 stats and has the potential to remove upgrade slots on failure. Meanwhile, the upgrade stone III provides 4 armour and 4 stats and doesn’t remove upgrade slots upon failure.

Armour upgrade stones can be used on helmets. Helmets aren’t restricted to “helmet only” upgrade stones despite them being the only piece of armour that has stones which target a certain part of the armour you use. In that same vein of thought, armour upgrade stones work on pendants and rings.
World 1 - Miscellaneous Tips
You can buy more storage slots at the town shops using in-game currency.

Remember to check the second page when upgrading your forge.

If you don't have auto loot yet and keep clicking on a portal while trying to loot an item, just click and hold down the cursor when the cursor is not on a portal, sweep your cursor along where all the items you want are, then release the mouse click when your cursor is not on a portal.

At level 8 you can create your second character. To do so, you will need to go back to the character selection screen by pressing menu > swap players and then press the button at the top left of that menu that says player menu & cloud save.

The above image shows where you have to click in order to view your stats while assigning talent points. I recommend doing this so you can judge on your own which talents to use. If you want a clearly defined build to use I recommend going to my "Useful websites for Idleon" section and navigating to the IdleonToolbox website. On that website you can click tools at the top and build on the left hand side and a bunch of builds will be suggested. If you want some guidance on what talents to get, the general consensus for low level players is that they should put most of their points into sharpened axe and gradually move to gilded sword. If you're concerned about accuracy, you can see what accuracy is required in an area with mobs by opening the menu at the bottom right and then clicking afk info. The accuracy required to hit a crystal mob 100% of the time is 2.5 times higher than the mob it spawned from. Also keep in mind that world 1 has fairly low accuracy requirements. But when you reach world 2, that is when you will want to get more accuracy and faster compared to world 1. And the problem with locking in too little accuracy before reaching world 2 is that you either have to wait until you get more talent points to correct having too little accuracy, or consume a talent reset potion. And talent reset potions are somewhat difficult to come across at the lower levels if you're using too many of them. Thankfully you can buy talent point reset fragments from the npc vendors if you need more.

You can also get the previously mentioned damage and skills summary window to show skill information while you assign skill talents to see their effects after being assigned. Just click the skill info tab, then click the skill that you want to view as you assign talent points.

If you keep forgetting to switch talent presets on your archer to take advantage of the godly creation talent because you have the memory of a goldfish like me, try changing your preset before teleporting instead of waiting until you get into town. Lava made it so the anvil isn't quick-ref only in patch 2.27. So now you can craft from storage wherever.

If you're in a guild with 50/50 assigned to stat runes you will get +20 to your base stats. There are other benefits, like getting guild gift boxes once a week if your guild has points assigned to that.

Skill efficiency for the card set bonus does not affect talents that deal damage. When on your fighting preset, if you have to choose between skill efficiency and food bonus for your card set bonuses, choose food effect bonus. Food bonus affects potions like the strength potions which increase your damage as those are considered "boost foods."

Levelling up your class gives 3 talent points and one star talent point per tab per class level. Levelling up a skill provides 1 talent point to the first tab per skill level but only provides 1 talent point every two skill levels to tabs 2 and 3 and one star talent point per skill level.

When actively collecting materials (as opposed to afk material collection) remember to assign collection skills to the skill bar and turn on auto to make the game automatically use collection skills that can be activated. For example, add mage’s log on logs while chopping to your skill bar at the bottom to increase your log drop rate or add warrior’s big pick while mining to occasionally hit the mining node with a big swing, or add the barbarian’s worming undercover when fishing to occasionally instantly fish up fish. Then click auto to automatically use those talents.

Stats like strength still affects the skill efficiency of mining on a character that isn’t a warrior.

The talent brute efficiency affects mining, fishing and cooking on a warrior. Tempestuous Emotions on a warrior affects mining, fishing, cooking and gaming. It does not work on construction. Smart efficiency affects chopping, worship and laboratory. Inner peace affects chopping, worship, laboratory and divinity. It does not affect alchemy. Elusive efficiency affects catching, and trapping.

Getting the “equip 4 pieces of amarok armour” achievement gives you a free teleport to Encroaching Forest Villas. So while other guides might recommend not crafting the helmet, I am recommending you craft it even if you only use it for the free teleport to get to the gublin shrine without using a teleport charge. Or to quickly get to the gigafrogs to sample them without using up a teleport. Or if you are one achievement away from getting another merit point for world 1. Or to teleport to Amarok so that you can burn through all your keys without using a teleport. Keep in mind that if you upgrade the automation arm building enough you can get a shrine in world 3 that lets you gather souls using the miniature soul apparatus. But that is only for totems that you have cleared to level 10. So the minmaxers among you out there will point out that making amarok's helmet isn't necessary because of that miniature soul apparatus, or that you can just buy more teleport charges with gems.

You can quick deposit your anvil’s production remotely by clicking codex, then quick ref, then anvil. No need to go back to the world 1 town each time you want to check/clear out your production queue.

If you purchase the infinity hammer from the gem shop you can double your production of a single item instead of producing two different items. Just click the hammer hitting the anvil on the left side of the item you want to double your production of and it will show X2 after producing.

Cards that say (Passive) don’t need to be equipped to get their benefits. For example, the fire forge card.

The special talents Supersource and Action Frenzy increase your skill efficiency and skill speed. They are obtained from the group dungeons shop. The group dungeons shop can be found at the bottom of the map where the frogs are in world 1 or past bandit bob in world 2 or in the igloo in town in world 3.

Frothy malk is obtained from Baba Yaga or Dr Defecaus in world 1 if you have a point in the 7th blunder hills merit shop. Frothy malk makes boosts foods like potions provide more of a boost. I don’t believe it affects health foods or gold foods. However, the foods that boost skilling stats like icing ironbites, saucy logfries, slurpin herms, buttered toasted butters, critter numnums and soulble gums do count as boost foods.
World 1 - Orion and Their Idle Game Inside the Idleon Idle Game
Orion's bonuses are:
  • 5% class exp
  • +10 base damage
  • +2% total damage
  • +4% skill xp
  • +1% drop rate
  • +2 all stat

Once you've reached +2 to all stats, it starts at the beginning again and increases your 5% class exp.

Orion:
Your first couple of attempts at Orion will likely involve trying to reach the feather restart upgrade to multiply the amount of feathers that you are generating. But, here's the thing to keep in mind for your later, longer attempts, shiny feathers persist through the feather restart option. So, when you first come back to Orion from doing other things and have a plethora of feathers, instead of immediately jumping into feather restart and starting over, you will want to pump shiny feathers then do feather restart shortly afterwards. Megafeathers will remove shiny feathers when obtained. This starts the run over from the beginning as the description describes.

Keep in mind you can get more megafeathers after reaching the tenth feather.

If you want a second opinion with a more in-depth guide there's always the guide on the game's discord at https://discord.com/channels/437797104786604034/1249511644149579797/1249511660625068123
World 2 - Miscellaneous Tips
The liquid cauldrons provide 2 times more alchemy exp to characters that are assigned to them compared to the brewing cauldrons.

If you’ve got a higher level character afk killing lower level mobs, such as if you make your Maestro grind low level mobs to try and get rare drops, consider removing their level up gift large alchemy bubble and grind time large alchemy bubble and replace them with the cookin roadkill and call me pope large alchemy bubbles. I recommend the cookin roadkill large alchemy bubble because my Maestro is sitting in the first liquid cauldron for extra alchemy exp alongside my Elemental Sorcerer and Bubonic Conjurer and since I get that Maestro to kill mobs on their skilling preset with level 352 happy dude they have 10.68 for their exp multiplier for alchemy while killing in the skilling preset. And that Maestro won’t be leveling up their class with exp anytime soon even if they had the grind time bubble equipped against low level mobs so level up gift won’t proc. Keep in mind that since I invested so much into making the Maestro's skilling preset kill lower level mobs I will probably have to throw a talent reset potion and a star talent reset potion on the Maestro later on to fix this choice I made in how to build my Maestro. Also keep in mind that I started using my elemental sorcerer to farm rare drops after writing this section as their ability to kill massive amounts of low level enemies provides more chances for rare items to drop compared to the Maestro trying to boost their item drop rarity while killing a handful at a time.

If you’re at fishing 29 and putting off reaching 30 until later, consider this, the area unlocked with 30 fishing provides considerably more fishing exp and new cards for the new fish that are there. It also allows you to use the raft behind the npc Omar Da Ogar to unlock island expeditions. You just need to unlock the islands using by gathering enough messages in a bottle, then clicking the message board to choose which island you want to unlock, then clicking the raft to choose an island you’ve unlocked to go to. When I first ran into this area I didn’t fully read what the NPC was saying and I thought I had to complete his quest and bring him 20,000 thread in order to go to another island.
World 2 - Fishing Minigame Tips
For the fishing minigame it is easier to judge the distances you need to cast the line by having markers on screen. For example, the left side of your highscore number is roughly 2 bars away from the top of the cast bar. Or, if you do the fishing minigame in deepwater docks, the message board in the background helps with judging the distance you need to cast for closer casts. Or, you can just place your cursor in the middle of the water to break down the bar into halves to get an idea of how much power to put into a cast.

Another fishing minigame tip is that you can hit a mine in the water and not lose provided you catch a fish in the same cast.

If you click after the bobber hits the water in the fishing mini game it will reel in the bobber quicker so you can make the minigame progress faster in that regard.

If you hold down the cast and don't like the position of the fish when you planned on casting the line, you can just hold down the left mouse button and let the cast bar fill up. Once its full, keep holding down the left mouse button and the casting bar will go in reverse until it reaches the bottom, then it will charge up again. I was initially operating under the assumption that it would auto cast when the casting bar was full before I decided to test this.
World 2 - Poppy and Their Fishing Idle Game Inside the Idleon Idle Game
Poppy's bonuses are:
  • +3% fishing efficiency
  • +3 defence
  • +5% fishing xp
  • +2 accuracy
  • +2% total damage
  • +0.5% AFK gains
  • +3% cash

When the bonuses from "Bonuses from Poppy" reach 3% cash your next bonus will start at the top of the list and increase your 3% fishing efficiency.

Poppy:
Poppy's minigame operates on a different basis from the Orion minigame and I am going to assume you've already done a couple of Poppy resets already in this section. Although, I will say this for you newer players, if you click the pond you will get 1 bluefin fish. This helps pay for the first couple of upgrades after doing a megafish reset.

But onto the more advanced topics. If you don't get any purple, white, or blue fish when trying to get shiny fish after returning to Poppy, I recommend to keep trying to get those shiny fish a couple of times after returning from your adventures. So, say if you return and the shiny fish meter is at 100,000% and you only get fish in the left column of the top right section, then try a couple more 100 to 1000% shiny fish meter hauls to try to get fish from the right column. It is better to keep attempting to have all the different fish even if it means multiple smaller shiny fish attempts. This is because although the large amount of 1085M yellow fish provides a small multiplier of 7.24, a small amount of 208K blue fish provides a large multiplier of 62.2.

If the above paragraph is confusing, just look at how much your total multiplier goes up once you fill in a shiny fish slot at the top right compared to getting more fish of a variety you already own. It should quickly become apparent how much more fish you get using the above method once Poppy reaches their next bluefin fish haul compared to the strategy of just doing one shiny fish haul and calling it a day.

Other than that, there are a couple things to keep in mind when getting upgrades. After a certain point I stop distributing my bluefin fish towards the tasty fishbait, quick reeling, juicy worm and multihook fishing upgrades. And I instead start investing towards the shiny fish upgrades like shiny lure, and lightning quickness, along with the fishing buddy upgrade after getting the leech megafish. I do this to make it so I can do more shiny fish hauls within a shorter timeframe to try and fill out the fish multiplier at the top right. And those smaller but quicker shiny fish hauls means that I have more chances to fill in the fish multiplier quicker than someone who just does a single shiny fish haul per visit. I think there is a cap to how much of a shiny fish bar you can have so once you reach a point where you're noticing that your fish multiplier at the top right isn't increasing as much it will likely be better to continue investing in the bluefin fish upgrades again to afford more bonus points and your next megafish.

When you return from being away from Poppy and have a bunch of bluefin fish to spend, don't just throw them into greatest catch right away. First you will want to see if you can unlock permanent upgrades with bonuses from poppy. Then see how much fisharoo investing you can do. Then do greatest catch to get your megafish. Unless you have your timing down to the minute on when to return to get your next megafish. Then do your thing I guess.

Only do fisharoo reset once. Not once per run. Once total. Even with the nautilus megafish providing an extra +5 bonus points when choosing fisharoo reset, its probably only worth putting more points into fisharoo reset until after you unlock all 12 megafish. That will probably be when you can't afford to get a endless mode megafish using the greatest catch within a reasonable amount of time. Although I'm currently on megafish 9 so I can't speak from experience about the endless mega fish and only speculate.

As for what ratio to assign your bonus points to get the optimal gains, there's the far more in-depth guide on the game's discord made by someone smarter than me. The Poppy guide can be found at https://discord.com/channels/437797104786604034/738868719522152490/1253851455069094079 and the post on what ratios to put into the bonuses is at https://discord.com/channels/437797104786604034/741696802666840167/1255018977768374323 The thing that stuck out to me the most when reading those posts is not to upgrade the yellow bonuses past 100 because there are diminishing returns.
World 3 - Miscelleanous Tips
If you need poison frogs to advance world 3 content, keep in mind that you have the same rate of getting them when putting down traps for 20 minutes compared to 20 hours. Unless you're using a trap that improves shiny chances like a silkskin trap.

Having unclaimed cogs increases the maximum cap to build another, it can even go above what is required a single one of the next tier. For example it will say 31/60 once you can claim one cog. And once you claim one cog it will go from 31/60 back down to 1/30. However, having 2 that can be claimed will bring the cog construction requirements to make a third cog show to 61/120. So, if you stay on top of making new cogs you can produce more than if you have cogs waiting to be claimed clogging up the production of new cogs.

When you get telekinetic storage in world 3 via merits, the best use for it is to send back souls or critters before you reach your inventory limit. Just keep in mind it has a 2000 second cooldown aka 30 minutes and it destroys items on the ground when activated.

The prayer big brain time is useful for overgeared low level characters that are progressing through content quickly as it increases enemy health to provide extra class experience. The prayer unending energy is pretty much mandatory to level up anything in a reasonable timeframe once you start making platinum gear as it increases exp at the cost of not being able to idle for more than 10 hours. And remember how it says “use with caution” for the unending prayer description? That’s there because if you use a 24 hour candy with it activated you will only get 10 hours of afk time from it. Its painful to learn that after using a couple cosmic candies which can give up to 500 hours of offline progress and thinking “Huh, I guess I was unlucky and only got 10 hours. Oh well.”

Equinox valley resource nodes provide much more experience than world 1 or 2 nodes. One problem is you have to first unlock the area, then you have to unlock the resource nodes. Another problem is that you can't afk there. Active skilling only. So remember to auto to use your talents like worming undercover while skilling there. Another problem is the high efficiency requirements. Remember to use the prayer skilled dimwit if you're having issues reaching the required efficiencies. But once you get it set up and account for the problems I mentioned you should see a difference in experience gained to the tune of, for example, 291K/hr in the last fishing area in world 2 compared to 10.2M/hr when fishing in Equinox Valley.

The world 3 shop sells a bottled world town teleport that makes it so you can teleport between towns without using a teleport charge.
World 3 - Refining Tips
Never auto refine red salts and always wait until it shows a full 50/50 or whatever other number it requires to rank up your red salt refinery. This is because its better to rank up the salt that form the backbone of the salt refining process rather than letting each refinery reach its rank up requirement as soon as possible and running into salt production issues.

I managed to find the below images from this Reddit discussion about what levels to have your other salt refineries at as you play the game. Thanks to Redditor Stealthychicken85 for posting it to Reddit and AllFettUp for making the image. https://www.reddit.com/r/idleon/comments/w14zae/infinite_salt_refinery_errors_fixed/

World 3 - 3D Printer Sampling Tips
The 3D printer is there to print resources so you don't have to dedicate characters to grinding them. You should make use of it as soon as you build it in world 3. But don't feel like you need to update your prints too often.

The Printer sampling uses 10% of your afk gains rate when you've invested 1 talent point into it. To view your afk gains rate click menu at the bottom right, then click afk info, then I believe it would be 10% of whatever percent shows up for your AFK gains rate value. AFKing before sampling does not affect how much of a resource that it samples for. It takes a snapshot when you use the talent then uses that snapshot to keep producing resources until you do another sample. I believe that if you have a say 20 bloach sample and then sample only 15 the next time it sticks to using the 20 bloach sample. Unless you delete the 20 bloach sample and then sample it the next time at 15. So, having more sample slots to save is useful in that regard.

Before sampling for the 3D printer you will want to do the following for both mob and skill prints in addition to following the below section on boosting your skill efficiency or skill exp:
  • Debate whether to activate The Royal Sampler prayer obtained from Wave 21 at Acorn Assault on your characters. This prayer provides extra 3D sample size at the cost of lowering both kill and skill exp gain. At first, its probably best to use this on characters who you aren't pushing with. Eventually, its worth using royal sampler on everyone as you will reach a point where its hard to spend all the talent points from levelling up on talents and resources will be limiting your progression.
  • Make sure you have the right preset of talents active. For example not being on preset 1 for killing when you should be on preset 2 for skilling.
  • Put points into the special talent printer sampling.
  • Pump money and resources into skill stamps and alchemy bubbles related to the skill or damage.

Before sampling for the 3D printer you will want to do the following for skill prints:
  • Change your gear to your skilling equipment when doing skill prints.
  • Switch your card sets bonus to Easy Resources for 8% skill efficiency per rank.
  • Equip golden peanuts to boost mining efficiency, golden ribs to boost fishing efficiency, golden ham to boost skill exp, golden grilled cheese nomwiches to boost stats.
  • Obtain and put talent points into the special talents (The yellow star talents) Supersource which gives skill efficiency, Action Frenzy which gives skill speed and Frothy Malk which gives a boost to boost foods like the icing ironbites line of skill foods.
  • Equip food that boosts skill speed like icing ironbite for mining or saucy logfries for logging, etc.
  • Change your star sign to ones that give a boost to efficiency and multiple drops like dwarfo beardus for mining, hipster logger for logging, etc.
  • Enable the Skilled Dimwit prayer that you unlock from getting to wave 25 at the goblin gorefest area (This is the area that provides you with forest souls) to boost your efficiency when doing skilling prints at the cost of exp gain.
  • When doing skilling prints, equip whatever alchemy bubble gives a boost towards getting multiple drops like wyoming blood for mining, or molto loggo for logging, etc.

Before sampling for the 3D printer you will want to do the following for mob kill prints, so you can try to reach the next rank of multi-kill on the mob and get more drops. This is because multikill affects the first drop on a monster's card. And, the drop rarity in your player info only affects the rarer drops in the monster's drop table to my knowledge:
  • If the only card set bonus you have is food boost, then use the food boost card set bonus to boost your damage potions and golden food. Otherwise use the bosses n nightmares card set if you have it to boost your damage by 6% per rank.
  • Golden nomwich increases base damage. Golden Kebab increases damage by a percentage. Equip them.
  • Equip your strongest damage potions. Decent strength potions add 100 base damage. Potent strength potions from world 4 increase base damage by 250. These values are before the frothy malk star talent or the potion stamp gets applied. I currently have potent strength potions providing me with 2.03k base damage.
  • Equip the 16th large yellow bubble called Mr Massacre to increase your multi kill.
World 3 - Skilling efficiency and/or experience checklist
A checklist for increasing skilling efficiency and/or skilling exp in order to level up a skill faster.

  • Check what the weekly buff is at the voting thing to the left of the cauldron in world 2. Sometimes there are buffs to a specific skill's efficiency and exp gain.
  • Activate the prayer unending energy to boost class and skill exp but only be able to afk for 10 hours at a time.
  • Potentially activate the prayer skilled dimwit to boost your efficiency at the expense of skill exp.
  • Craft and equip golden peanuts to boost mining efficiency. Equip golden ham you found to boost skill exp earned.
  • Boost your hp in order to reach the next power of 10 hp value so that the hearty diggy alchemy bubble is more effective when mining. Such as by equipping golden jam and life potions. You need to change maps for this bubble to affect your efficiency after equipping those food items though. The same goes for increasing your max MP for the Hocus Choppus alchemy bubble when chopping.
  • Have your action talents like big pick on your skill bar. Or have worming undercover on your skillbar when fishing.
  • Find the owl and kangaroo npc prior to going skilling. The owl provides a general skill exp boost and the kangaroo provides a substantial boost to fishing exp, fishing efficiency and afk gains. Especially once their final unlock has been obtained a couple of times for the two of them.
  • Unlock star signs and use them. Like Chronus' dwarfo beardus or Hydron's trapezoidburg.
  • Equip 2 serrated rex rings alongside the other pieces of skilling gear related to that skill. Fishing has a hat called paper boat that drops 1 in 16,700 from crystal crabals or 1 in 833,000 while fishing. It increases fishing efficiency by 5%. Or, you could use the royal turban that drops from Efaunt to boost gold food effects by 15% in conjunction with golden ribs which boosting fishing efficiency. There is also the acorn topper that gives 15% skill exp from the based roots achievement. But that requires 15 woodular circles.
  • Equip at least tier 1 chains from the party dungeon content that boost the stat related to the skill that you're trying to level up. Or equip mining or fishing exp boosting tier 2 chains. Or tier 3 chains that boost skilling speed and afk gain.
  • Construct the salt lick and upgrade it to the 4th level to boost class and skill exp.
  • Construct and place the summereading shrine on levels where you're skilling. Its not only for class exp.
  • Upgrade the skill exp slot of the statue in world 1 so all your characters are affected by the skill exp boost statues that you've been turning in.
  • Obtain the bloque pet from the dog in world 1 and claim a free pet once a week. Each claimed free pet provides its bonuses even when they're not following you around. They also don't replace any previously obtained pet so you can collect 40 pets before you have to get rid of some to make room for more.
  • Upgrade your afk gains at the flurbo shop outside the dungeons.
  • Gain +2% afk gains for your characters with the world 2 merit shop.
  • Have a Maestro with right hand of action active to boost efficiency on characters with a lower skill level. And the left hand of learning to boost skill exp gain on characters with a lower skill level.
  • Have a high level hunter providing their family boost. It affects the efficiency of your characters.
  • Equip skill obols related to the skills you're leveling.
  • Equip the blunder hero trophy if you have one.
  • Check your cards. You can see what effects you have equipped by viewing your cardsets.
  • Get and put points into Super source and Action Frenzy Star. These are talents that are obtained from the group dungeon using pink dungeon currency. In terms of other talents that you should invest in, if you're using skilling foods, use the frothy malk star talent to boost their effects. This is obtained from world 1 minibosses provided you have the merit active. Get the Stonks! star talent from the NPC wellington to turn 27 star talent points into 54 star talent points. He is in sands of time in the desert. Get Toilet Paper Postage from TP Pete by saying "More like Poopy Pete" when standing next to him, in order to slightly boost your skill stamp effects. Get the star talent Tick Tock by spending your alchemy liquids to boost afk gains. Get the Studious Quester star talent from world 4's Royal Worm quest "Let the tails hit the floor" to boost skilling efficiency by the number of quests you've completed.
  • Upgrade alchemy vials related to skilling. Like the void vial and the ew gross gross vial.
  • Post office boxes. I recommend reading the wiki page on post office upgrade at https://idleon.wiki/wiki/Post_Office#Upgrades. But to summarize it, you put 200 boxes into Civil War, then either 200 or 400 into the class' skill specialization and another 200 into civil war. And you usually get 75% of a box's benefits from reaching 200 orders shipped for that category.
World 4 - Miscellaneous Tips
The basic dna splicer you can buy in world 4 provides 10 defence. So its worth buying one for every character once you reach that world when you can afford it.

In order to gather dna spirals using a dna splicer to upgrade your new pet chances, you will first want to figure out what mob you want to afk on to gather dna spirals. I recommend either green mushrooms or sticks. Green mushrooms are good because they sometimes drop spore tees at a rate of 1 in 2,860 which can be used to make blunderbags, and bolt cutters which can unlock the sewers or craft the blunderhills misc completion token. I recommend farming sticks for dna spirals because they sometimes drop woodular circles which are needed for crafting an amarok helmet, pharaoh bow or sometimes for post office orders. But using woodular circles for the post office orders isn’t worth it most of the time. Unless you don’t want to lose your order streak, then maybe. And you get the dna spirals by afking in an area and turning the loot into dna spirals. Finally, if you don't get a rare drop of spore tees or woodular circles, turn the loot into dna spirals on the afk summary window.

Starting in world 4 with spicy space ribs, food being sold by npcs have a less than 30 second cooldown. With the spicy space ribs at 25, lemon slices at 22, grilled cheese nomwich at 20, etc. This means those foods that heal more hp than you can possibly reach at this point of the game are useful to buy for their shorter cooldown. Even if it does drain the bank faster compared to cheaper food from earlier worlds.
World 4 - Cooking tips
Is idling characters in the kitchen levelling up the cooking skill too slowly for your liking? You can use balloons to get cooking exp if you stand in the kitchen and use them.

Cooking tables have 3 stats. Cooking speed, recipe fire speed and new recipe luck. Cooking speed affects how fast the table cooks recipes you have unlocked. Recipe fire speed affects how fast you reach the first level of success when attempting to unlock a new recipe as well as how fast the table can reach the next tier of success. So, for example, it might say 3% success rate at the bottom once it has reached the first level of success and take 1 day 14 hours to reach that level of success. You can then increase the success rate to 6% by waiting another 2 days. Or 9% after waiting 2 days 14 hours after reaching the 6% success rate.

Cooking tables share spices for their speed and luck upgrades. The first table's luck stat uses the spice that has 3 leaves on the label for its luck stat. The second table uses that same spice for speed. The same happens with tables 2 and 3. Table 2 uses the spice that has poop on the label for luck and table 3 uses that spice for speed. So, with that in mind, you will want to upgrade your first table's speed, fire and luck stats. The second table should have a neglected speed and luck stat because its speed spice is being used for luck on table 1 and its luck stat should be used towards table 3's speed. Tables 3+ should focus on speed. This way, if you upgrade your first table in the gem shop's Richelin Kitchen upgrade you'll get the most bang for your buck with increased stats on that first table. Your first table will be used to unlock recipes while the rest can be used to cook food.

Keeping the above paragraph in mind, you can space out your best gatherers at the breeding area based on which spices are the most useful to you. For example, since the tree interior area's spice is used to rank up table two's fire, you can neglect that spice in favour of other ones. Like focusing more on stinky sewers' spice which boosts table three's speed stat.

The talent Taste Test on a Blood Berserker isn't for completing already learned meals that you are cooking. Taste Test is used to attempt to complete a new recipe. And, if it fails, it retains a portion of the fire that you've accumulated towards increasing the new recipe chance. For example, when the first level of success is say 3% for finishing a new recipe, I chose to wait a couple of days extra to increase the success rate to 9%. Since my taste test says it retains 51% of the fire at level 106, when I ended up using Taste Test and it didn't succeed, I ended up with a success rate of 6% instead of having to start that new recipe from the beginning.
World 4 - Pet Tips
Not to be confused with world 1 companions, pets are capable of fighting and gathering spices so you can cook and their nesting area is located in world 4.

There are team battles to unlock new spices and arena pet battles to unlock new buffs and content. First, click the nest in world 4 to the left of the storage chest. Then click the arena text at the top right of the teams tab to fight in the arena to unlock buffs. Buffs like more pet slots in battle for beating area 15, or 1.5 the money from monsters for beating area 20. The other type of pet battles involves clicking the teams tab and then clicking the box with a sword below the fence yard to fight to unlock new spices so that you can upgrade the more expensive cooking tables, more difficult recipes and to buy chips at the lab.

Once you have the breedability pulse upgraded to 1/10 you can start putting pets with a pink heart in the fence yard and they will slowly provide a bonus to your chances of getting a new pet. So if your highest level pet is the baby boa you will want a fence yard full of high level baby boas to slowly increase your odds of unlocking carrotmen. This bonus works alongside upgrading pets with dna to improve your chances of getting a new pet. For example, the base chance of getting a new pet is 1/800 for the glublin. I have a genetic multiplier of 2.2 for upgrading the glublin with dna strands and a breedable multiplier of 3.38 for having glublins with the breeder genetic in the fence yard. There are other modifiers that affect the results however the final calculation is a 1/67 chance of unlocking a Wode Board pet.
World 5 - Miscellaneous Tips
You can have more than 5 ships and 6 captains for sailing in world 5. Try using the scroll wheel when hovering over the ships or captains to see the other slots.

When in deathbringer's wraith mode, the afk info will show you what your bones per hour is. This is useful for finding out whether one zone is better than another for farming bones.

One of the stats that isn't limited by the deathbringer's wraith mode is speed. So, carry as many speed potions as you can without dying from the lack of healing from healing food. This limitation also makes the star talent "frothy malk" quite useful as it will boost the speed potions effects. You will also want to equip the only move speed card available at the moment, the baby boa card. This is because damage cards won't increase your damage output when in wraith mode as most of your stats are limited based on the upgrades you've purchased in the grimoire. Oh, and you'll also want the food effect card set to boost your speed potions instead of the regular damage card set.

Deathbringer's elimination grimoire challenge requires you to kill all enemies on a map with wraith form active. However, the game takes about 1 second to register your buffs when changing zones. So, if you kill mobs with combustion or other talents while autoing during that timeframe it errors saying all mobs must be alive when entering the map. So to get around this bug just turn off auto when changing maps then enable it after 2-3 seconds on the new map. Another problem you need to consider is that if you leave graveyard shift on your toolbar, it makes it considerably harder to clear the map.
World 5 - Sailing (WIP)
Sailing is located in world 5 in the bottom right. The class that specialises in sailing is the siege breaker.

Before getting started
If you have the red star signs artifosho for increased artifact find chance, and c. shanti minor for +20% sailing speed, then equip them on the siege breaker you plan to use to check the sailing map for sailing progress. Also make sure you're on your skilling talent preset. If you have access to the Artifact Attraction lab effect (You can purchase it at the jade emporium in world 6 under The Artifact Matrix) try to enable that as well.

There are a couple of aspects you need to consider when sailing. The stats of your captain's buffs, your boat's stats and your destination/goal including how far away it is. Keep in mind that no matter how speedy your boat is, the minimum trip duration is going to be about 2 hours. Until you've levelled your siege breaker up quite a bit for their family bonus or have a shiny dog in the fence yard trying to lower the minimum trip duration.

Your captain buffs certain stats. If you have a captain that buffs speed, the speed of the boat will be modified on the crew tab. If you take a captain out of the ship you will then see the boat's stats on its own. For your destination and goal, you need to consider how far the island is and whether you are exploring to discover new islands, travelling to islands in the hopes of getting loot (rare or otherwise) or travelling to islands in the hopes of getting artifacts.

Captain stat buffs:
Boat Speed - How long it takes for a boat to travel to an island.
Loot Value - How much loot is inside the chest the boat brings back.
Cloud Discover Rate - How quickly a captain clears out the cloud obscuring a new island.
Artifact Find Chance - This buffs the artifact find rate which is based off your sailing level.
Rare Chest Chance - This buffs the chances a chest that is brought back is rare.

25m Safari Island
Your first couple of sailing expeditions are going to be to safari island which is 25m away. Your goal in terms of artifacts is to hopefully get the Ruble Cube for increased damage for every 10 items you've found at the slab above 500 items. The other artifact goal is to hopefully get the Fauxory Tusk which increases artifact find chance based on your sailing level. The other 2 artifacts (Moai Head and Maneki Kat) allow you to level up shrines faster and obtain more coins.

The basic loot here levels up your second and third boats' speed. It also affects the loot value of your fifth boat. And, if you get lucky, the rare loot can be used to boost your sixth boat's speed.

100m Beachy Coast
This island has a Gold Relic that boosts 3D printer samples based on how long they've been sitting there producing goods. It also has a Genie Lamp that boosts loot from sailing based on your sailing level. I think the first level of Silver Ankh provides you with the ability to purchase divinity or sailing post office boxes. But it might provide a random post office box from the list of divinity, gaming or sailing. You also need to have completed all 3 order companies on tab 2 of the post office to unlock the second upgrade tab where this post office box is located.

The basic loot can upgrade the speed on your fourth boat. It can also upgrade your loot value on your sixth boat. The rare loot can upgrade the seventh boat's speed.

250m Isolated Woods
You can find an Emerald Relic here, which I haven't used all that much. Although I should use it more often, if only to check for trades that where the gold bars start with 776, 777 or 778 so that I can get the "Perfect Trade Deal" achievement. That achievement allows you to stockpile 1 additional treasure when sailing. The second artifact Fun Hippoete increases damage based on your power of 10 construction build rate.

The basic loot here upgrades the speed of your fifth boat. It also upgrades the loot of your seventh boat. The rare loot (that looks like a boulder) upgrades the eighth boat's speed.

1000m Rocky Peaks
The first artifact named the arrowhead level isn't worth getting. It might be worth using in the end game and your boats are bringing back increasingly rarer and rarer chests. However, for newer players, I think it conflicts with the siege breaker's "unending loot search" talent as the arrowhead will delete chests below the rarity its set to, while the unending loot search lets boats upgrade chests. The arrowhead's ancient form and higher provide a higher chance of getting rare chests which is worth getting. The 10 AD Tablet increases sailing speed based on the number of 10 items on the slab after 500 items. Finally, the ashen urn increases divinity gain by 1% per class level up to 200 for its basic form.

The loot here can be used to upgrade the loot of your eighth boat. The rare loot can upgrade the speed of your ninth boat.

3000m Stormy North
The Amberite relic improves your "No Bubble Left Behind" Lab effect to affect 1 more bubble. The Triagulon relic provides 15% cooking speed per power of 10 Turkeys owned. I think the Billcye Tri provided me with either the divinity or the sailing post office crate. But, as I said for the Silver Ankh, it might provide a random post office box from the list of divinity, gaming or sailing.

The loot here can be used to upgrade the loot of your ninth boat and the rare loot can be used to upgrade your tenth boat's speed.

10,000m Snowy South
The frost relic here gives extra efficiency for skills in world 1,2,3. The chilled yarn here provides a multiplier bonus to sigils. Most players avoid sigils for a while.

The loot here can upgrade the loot of your tenth boat. The rare loot here can boost your eleventh boat's speed.

25,000m Toxic Bay Inc
The Causticolumn boosts the max level of cooking meals. The jade rock boosts divinity gain for every 10 items found after 500 at the slab.

The loot here can upgrade the loot of your eleventh boat. The rare loot can boost the speed of your twelfth boat.

100,000m Candied Isle
The first artifact Dreamcatcher lets your loot pile hold 2 more sailing chests per rarity of the artifact. The second artifact Gummy Orb lets you get 15% more bits from gaming for every 10 items after 500 at the slab.

The loot here can upgrade the loot of your twelfth boat. The rare loot can upgrade the speed of your thirteenth boat.
World 5 - Sailing Part 2 (WIP)
300,000m Fungi Meadows
The main reason you're doing sailing. For the Fury Relic artifact. This thing bumps up your max talent level by 25 per rarity. And since its the only artifact here, if you assign any boats here that 1% artifact discovery rate won't end up with an artifact you don't care to get.

The loot here can upgrade your thirteenth boat's loot stat. The rare loot improves your forteenth boat's speed.

1,000,000m Coloudy Quay
The Cloud Urn here will get you the last post office box from the list of divinity, gaming or sailing. The Weatherbook artifact will provide extra bits in the gaming garden per gaming level.

The loot here upgrades the loot stat of your fourteenth boat. The rare loot upgrades your fifteenth boat's speed.

60,000,000m

120,000,000m

400,000,000m

If I can go on a bit of a tangent here, I wish the crew tab showed which captains were in which boats. I don't like having to go back to the map tab to see which captains are in boats. Or leaving the map to see what captain is in which boat.

Sailing tips
Have high level divinity but low level sailing and gaming? If your characters have level 25, 50 or 80 divinity there is a quest npc named poigu in world 5 at lampar lake that gives 3 bottled wind and 2 gaming fertilizer for being level 25 divininty, 4 bottled wind and 3 gaming fertilizer for being 50 divinity and 6 bottled wind and 5 gaming fertilizer for being 80 divinity per character. Just remember to set up your sailing properly before using all those bottled winds.

I think the worst combo of captain skills is cloud discover rate and anything other than speed or more cloud discover rate. Because the captain at that point isn't specialised for their task. A captain that has loot + speed is going to perform better than one with cloud discover + loot. Because the first captain will be able to travel to more distant islands by virtue of their speed buff, whereas the second captain has one buff that isn't affecting the task they've been assigned to. If the second captain is discovering islands the loot buff won't help. If the second captain is looting the cloud discovery buff wont help.
World 6 - Miscellaneous Tips
You can lock a mound of soil before planting a crop to ensure that you get rank 1 crops.

You can't use candy in world 6.
Useful websites for Idleon
If you’re having issues keeping track of when characters have 23 hour cooldowns available such as the refinery throttle on your squire, I recommending using Idleon Toolbox. It is a third party website listed on the wiki’s external resources page at https://idleon.wiki/wiki/External_Resources. If using third party tools isn’t your thing then there’s always the daily checklist on the wiki at https://idleon.wiki/wiki/Daily_Checklist.
