Keys was my first publicly released, thing. I started it when I was 14 and released it when I was 17. I should probably write something about it someday, but that will have to wait awhile longer.
In the meantime you can read this article[www.blog.radiator.debacle.us] Robert Yang wrote about the mod; if you ever wanted to understand why so many Half-Life modders thought The Beginner's Guide was about them, this mod would be a good place to start.
Keys actually just had its 10 year anniversary this past July of 2024, fortunate timing I get to re-release it now. I always wished it was more substantial, but don't we all?

Technical Notes:

• If you experience any visual glitches or errors in the first area you'll have to restart the executable to correct them.
  
  
• If you open the console and enter 'changelevel island_prisoner' you can play Frank Lantz's Prisoner[web.archive.org] I don't think anyone has ever found this.
  
  
• If you change the level and happen to get a massive amount of bloom, go into the console and enter 'mat_bloomscale 1'.
  
  
• You shouldn't die, but if you do it will most likely be on the third level. After reloading, go into the console and type 'changelevel island_summation', then enable god mode by typing 'god'.
