How to Recover a Flipped Truck Without Calling Emergency Services

This guide explains how to get your truck back on its wheels without needing to call emergency services. This technique is especially useful during External Contracts, as calling emergency services to tow your truck will cancel the contract.

Enable developer console
  1. Go to: "C:\Users\<USER>\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2".
  2. Open the config.cfg file with your preferred text editor.
  3. Change
    g_developer "0"
    (in my case line 123) to
    g_developer "1"
  4. Change
    g_console "0"
    (in my case line 181) to
    g_console "1"
  5. Save and close file.
Flipping the truck
The key is to change the truck stability value above normal and then quickly return it back to the default value.
  1. Open console by pressing ` (Key above the Tab key).
  2. It's recommended to set the default stability value first:
    g_truck_stability 0.5

  3. Then increase the value to 10, which is usually enough:
    g_truck_stability 10
  4. When the truck's wheels are close to the ground, change g_truck_stability back to 0.5. You can use `Arrow Up` key to quickly re-enter previously used commands, or you can manually type or paste:
    g_truck_stability 0.5
  5. Close console by pressing ` (Key above the Tab key).
