Hello everyone,

I made this mod to address an issue (or rather, an undocumented change) that arose with the Age of Heroes release, in particular the Delving Bench only accepting decaying eldarium for whatever reason.

The Delving Bench should now only accept eldarium bars, reflecting how delving functioned before the recent update, and is in-line with the information provided in the delving UI.

Additionally, I applied the relevant gameplay tags to a number of hardened steel weapons which previously could not be used in the delving process, such as:

- normal great axe
- perfected (silver corner) weapons *
- variable (yellow corner) weapons *
* excluding punching daggers

These should now be accepted by the delving bench, provided they meet the criteria of being full-durability.

Lastly, I made the executive decision to remove the robed figure from the Delving Bench. The presence of the hoodied home-invader didn't make much sense and only resulted in awkwardly breathing down her neck every time.

The adjustments to the Delving Bench were done via a direct 'dirty' edit, as the mesh is not accessible in the DevKit and as such cannot be copied. I didn't encounter any issues with my testing, so I believe there should be little risk involved.

The adjustments to the weapons' gameplay tags are performed via control table merger, and should be compatible with other mods. If a mod conflict emerges, placing this mod lower in the order should help resolve it.

Appearance and behavior of the bench should return to normal if the mod is disabled.

@Vohlteris In the Epic Games Launcher, you can find the 'Conan Exiles Modkit' (DevKit) by searching in the store. It's free to use, but it's very large (my install is just under 250GB).

With that, you'll have access to a bunch of game systems, data tables, and blueprints to tinker around with. Funcom has some documentation available here:

In particular, I'd recommend reading the 'Mod Controller Basics' and 'Data Table Merging Operations' sections, as it will allow making changes to data tables and some blueprints without direct edits, which is crucial for compatibility with game updates and other mods.

When a mod is complete, it can then be uploaded from the DevKit directly to the Steam Workshop, or the cooked pak file can be acquired and used manually.

Hi Dread Swoop,
I have a short general question: How did you create the mod? Did you create the mod in the Epic Game Launcher and "copy" it to steam or is there another way? I'm interested in "how to create your own mods". Maybe you can help?

@saph0704 I'll have to look into that, my earlier attempts to make copies did not work, hence the direct edit, but there may be a way. The mesh isn't available in the DevKit (probably because it has protected assets stuck on it like the helmet), which complicates things.

Maybe you could add a recipe to the artisan (or torturer's) bench that adds/removes her? (aka another bench until you find a better or more immersive way to toggle it)

@MutantArtCat I agree, a toggle option would be the solution favorable to most people. I have an idea as to how it could be done in concept, but I'll admit the specific steps to execute upon it are beyond my current understanding. Thus that would not be something to expect in the near future.

Maybe a choice option to show the NPC or not? I never minded her and I like having people around even if there is no interaction with them. It's not a must though, because I can easily use a Tot! NPC or Puppet so...

Version 1.1 has been released.

The mod has been updated to prevent a mute robed woman from tiptoeing into your house and fiddling with your goodies (among other things).

* The NPC tied to the bench has been removed.

If necessary, she can be brought back fairly easily.
